Abstract: Tools and techniques are provided for interactive fallout analysis. Checkpoints, such as web pages visited, are defined through user input. As the second and subsequent checkpoints are added, fallout metrics are automatically calculated and displayed for the checkpoint pairs. The user receives fallout information interactively, in response to each change in the sequence of checkpoints, rather than being forced to define all checkpoints and then wait while the fallout metrics are calculated for a batch of checkpoint definition changes. Special coloring or other visualization highlights indicate when the fallout between two checkpoints is total.

Abstract: An information management, analysis and response generation system is used with monitoring devices for the remote testing and monitoring of system users' physiological information (e.g. diabetes testing, blood pressure testing, anti-coagulation, etc.). The information management, analysis and response generation system allows testing and monitoring devices manufactured by third party companies to communicate with the system through existing communication networks means enabled by proprietary technology. Upon analysis of the collected data, the system is capable of initiating communications with third parties, including interactive clinical alert notifications.

  • Patent number: 7860698
Abstract: In a network design processing device, a network drawing creation processing unit inputs the service communication setting information for business execution in a network system to be designed and the maintenance communication setting information for maintenance management of the network system, while differentiating two types of information on a network diagram, and displays the line joining the starting point and the ending point of communications in the network diagram in display modes different for the service communications and for the maintenance communications. The design diagram data expressing the network diagram inputted by the network diagram creation processing unit is stored in a design diagram data storage unit. Based on this, a design diagram analysis unit creates a design information DB. With reference to this design information database, a communication setting information check unit detects a setting error concerning the communication.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for network management that allows the configuration of IP links in one step, via a GUI form, even though the management protocols available at the two end links (routers) may differ. According to one embodiment, the method comprises gathering information from the user, validating this information, and then sending this information to the appropriate router(s). According to one embodiment, the method enables a user to specify various configurations when provisioning an IP link, for example, the type of IP link (Point-to-Point, Point-to-IP, or Point-to-Subnet), the numbering type (Numbered or Unnumbered), the application type (MPLS and/or IP Forwarding), and the sub-layer interfaces to be used (Packet Over Sonet, Asynchronous Transfer Mode, GigEthernet, and others).

  • Patent number: 7856327
Abstract: A State and Topology Processor (STP) may be communicatively coupled to one or more intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) communicatively coupled to a electrical power system to obtain one or more current measurements, voltage measurements, and dynamic topology data therefrom. The STP may receive the measurement data and may determine a current topology and a voltage topology therefrom. A current processor may use the current topology and the current measurements to refine the measurements, perform KCL, unbalance, symmetrical component, and consistency checks on the electrical power system. The voltage processor may use the voltage topology and the voltage measurements to perform similar checks on the electrical power system. One or more alarms may be generated responsive to the checks. The data may be displayed to a user in a display of a human machine interface and/or may be transmitted to a user programmable task module, and/or an external control unit.

Abstract: In a multi-user online real-time network in which users access content associated with a plurality of social networks related by common communities of interest, an interactor client application is embedded in content pages accessed by a user, and the user is provided a list of other users and the content pages in the related social networks that they are accessing. The inteactor client application cooperates with an interactor server application on a network server to enable a user to view the content being accessed by multiple selected ones of the other users, and to interact with the other users online and in real time.

  • Patent number: 7849408
Abstract: A system containing a visualization application which enables the user or other user to obtain information about various types of transactions involving the respective activities of the components. The user selects filtering criteria that identify various types of transactions performed on each network component from the visualization application and the visualization application uses these criteria in compiling the appropriate records from the network information files. The visualization application then forms the data that represent the records that meet each selected criterion and stores the data in a local file. Thereafter, the user may view the network activity through the visualization application which displays a map of the network and overlays the map with graphical moving images that represent the data for each selected criterion. The graphical images change with time to reflect changes in the underlying data.

  • Patent number: 7840900
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that replace a separate reset pin in a bus with a reset command that guarantees a system recovery. The system comprises a host component circuitry residing on a first chip and a client component circuitry residing on a second, different chip. A bus connects the host component circuitry to the client component circuitry. The host component circuitry is configured to transfer an initial client value associated with a client component time period to the client component circuitry over the bus on a periodic time basis. The periodic time basis is dictated by a host component time period and the client component time period is greater than the host component time period. The client component circuitry is configured to initiate a reset procedure if the client component time period expires which indicates that the initial client value was not received at a next time on the periodic time basis dictated by the host component time period.
