Abstract: According to one disclosed embodiment, an approach is provided in which a multi-workspace request is received at a machine while the machine is operating in a single workspace mode and while the machine is displaying a first single workspace on a display screen accessible by the machine. The machine includes a number of single workspaces and each of the single workspaces has spaces to display a number of tiles that each correspond to an application. A multi-workspace mode is displayed on the display screen, with the displaying of the multi-workspace mode including displaying a set of the single workspaces on the display screen. Each of the set of single workspaces is displayed in a reduced size in comparison to the single workspace mode.

Abstract: A user interface for a messaging client application can include a message list. By executing various input operations on a representation of a message in the message list, the user can take an action on the message. For example, a user operating a pointing device can perform a drag operation on a representation of the message in the message list, and the action to be taken on the message can be indicated by the direction and distance of the drag. Visual feedback can be provided during the drag operation to indicate the action that will be taken if the user ends the drag at the current location.

A method may include causing display of a semi-transparent user interface layer concurrent with a second user interface layer. At least a portion of the semi-transparent user interface layer and at least a portion of the second user interface layer may overlap. The method may further include detecting a physical stimulus. The method may additionally include determining an effect of the physical stimulus on display of content in the semi-transparent user interface layer. The method may also include applying the determined effect by modifying display of content in the semi-transparent user interface layer in response to detection of the physical stimulus. The social media multimedia container is operable to comprise one or more applications, widgets, pieces of content, and other multimedia containers. Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media creating and publishing customizable images from within online events are provided. A user may capture an image from an online event presented within a user interface. In response to capturing the image, a pop-up window may be displayed within the presented online event on the user interface. A display module is provided on a first surface of the casing and displays a screen including an object. A second detection module is provided on a second surface opposite to the first surface and detects a movement operation for moving the screen. A control module cuts out at least a partial region including the object from the screen and moves the cut region according to the movement operation, when the movement operation has been detected.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed for an image editing tool that generates a recipe for just-in-time processing of images (“the technology”). Various embodiments of the technology include an image processing system that provides image processing services to a client system that publishes content including an image to end users. The image processing system processes the image based on a recipe to generate a processed image. The image editing tool is integrated into an application, e.g., webpage or a web browser, that displays the content. A user, e.g., administrator of the client system, can use the image editing tool to edit the image on the webpage and generate the recipe including instructions regarding the edits. The recipe is transmitted to the image processing system which processes the image based on the recipe, and transmits the processed image to the client system for further transmission to the end users accessing the content.

In one or more implementations, input is detected to relocate a content item exposed within a graphical user interface for the multi-application environment. The relocation may be performed to associate the content item with a target element that is configured to initiate one or more designated actions with respect to the content item by invoking a corresponding application currently in a non-running state. The target element may be configured as an application window, an icon, an application launch element, or other visual representation of the corresponding application. In response to the detected input, the content item is associated with the target element and the corresponding application is launched to cause a switch from the non-running state to an active state in which the one or more designated actions are performed.

In one embodiment, the present invention uses drag and drop features to add a photo to a spread, to remove a photo from the spread, and/or to create a new spread. In another embodiment, drop areas are utilized to facilitate addition and removal of photos at an editor. In another embodiment, drop targets are determined by an animated highlight of a drop target, a time delay allowing a user to wait until a drop target is auto-selected by the pre-set rules of the editor, and pre-set rules of a drop target as determined by the location of a drop. Furthermore, drop targets are determined by location coordinates of a photo over the spread before being dropped, proximity of a dragged photo with a photo slot, or a pre-calculated photo slot based on pre-set rules.
