Abstract: A method is provided for modifying an image. The method comprises displaying an image, the image comprising a portion of an object; and determining if an edge of the object is in a location within the portion. The method further comprises detecting movement, in a member direction, of an operating member with respect to the edge. The method still further comprises moving, if the edge is not in the location, the object in an object direction corresponding to the detected movement; and modifying, if the edge is in the location, the image in response to the detected movement, the modified image comprising the edge in the location.

Abstract: A method and system for performing quick reply operations are disclosed. The method for quick reply operations includes displaying a text box; determining a display area of the text box; and receiving a user instruction. The method further includes determining whether the user instruction is a pull-down gesture in the display area of the text box; determining whether the pull-down gesture exceeds a threshold length; and displaying a quick reply text box. The method and system consistent with the present disclosure implement quick reply functions and improve the user experience for replying to various messages and postings.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating the navigation of a list of content items with gestures are described. Consistent with some embodiments, a computing device detects simple gestures, and in response, display a preview of content items preceding, or following a currently selected content item, from the list of content items. Upon detecting a selection gesture, the computing device updates the view of the currently selected content item to display the newly selected content item.

In response to the ambiguous selection, a short menu corresponding to the displayed page is displayed on the screen. The method further includes capturing information, by the browser module, from at least one of the number of web pages based on the profile and sending the information captured by the browser module to a destination application, where the destination application is external to the browser and where the destination application is configured to use the information in a second format.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention are directed to, among other things, systems, computer readable media, methods and any other means for using a handheld device to present information to a user. The handheld device and server(s) can be configured to differentiate among inexpensive and expensive information. For example, the handheld device can be configured to present media listings that represent media stored on the server(s). Each media listing can include text (inexpensive information) and thumbnails (expensive information). While the user scrolls through the media listings, the new listings can only include text. Once the scrolling stops, the missing thumbnails can be downloaded and integrated into their corresponding listings. In response to a listing being selected, the corresponding media file can be downloaded and/or played back to the user by the handheld device.

Access to data and services from multiple software applications can be provided through a group or list of items. The set of groups of items can be both customizable and extensible to allow users to locate and utilize data and tasks relevant to the particular user. The set of item groups can provide users with a filtered view of content available through the mobile device, enhancing access to subset of data and tasks available on the mobile device.

An object collection of objects that describe features of components of a product is created. Abstract: A method enables selecting items from a list, as well as functions associated with these items and with the list in general. Each item is identified by an icon displayed in a series of icons. A first command enables the item to be selected and a second command enables it to be activated. The series of icons comprises at least one additional icon. The user selects this additional icon, then at the end of a certain time a sub-menu appears presenting all the functions selectable via the second command. The optimized object traversal may vary an order of the object focus selection between objects based on a selection path of a user (e.g., which object previously had the object focus). The optimized object traversal techniques use an edge point on the object having a current object focus to identify a next object to receive the object focus. Objects may be identified based on an orthogonal alignment, a distance from the edge point, a container order (e.g., in tie breaking instances) and/or by a coded assignment.
