The data processing system includes a recommendation engine configured to receive, from a client device over a network, interaction data related to a user interaction with one or more data sources, generate extracted data that includes one or more portions of at least one resource of the one or more data sources. The extracted data is generated based on the interaction data. The data processing system parses the extracted data to identify one or more metrics of the extracted data, and retrieves, from the one or more data sources, the additional data based on the metric. A results compiler is configured to receive a request for data from the client device, and responsive to the request, send the additional data to the client device for presentation.

Abstract: A data processing system is configured to augment a request for data. Abstract: Systems and methods for providing blackout support in video mosaic and television environments are disclosed. In response to receiving a request for a video mosaic page, screen data or application data, which may include blackout information, is received. The blacked out content may be automatically recorded to the user equipment or a network server for later playback after the blackout has expired. In addition, an overlay of options associated with the blacked out asset may be presented. The overlay may include options to substitute the blacked out asset with replacement content, search for similar content, retrieve more information about the blackout, or present summary information, such as a sports ticker, in place of the blacked out cell.

The data analyzer engine analyzes the feedback to identify most popular consumed content amongst the different content and produces a content guide to include multiple selectable channels from which content is available for retrieval over a shared communication link in the cable network environment. The content guide can include one or more selectable viewing options to view a rendition of content being identified as more or most popular. Each of one or more playback devices or other suitable resources retrieves and initiates display of the content guide on a display screen. Accordingly, a subscriber can view different available content options as well as an identification of content that is currently the most popular consumed content amongst viewers.

Abstract: Linear content holds great value to consumers, and by delivering it to consumers on demand, service providers can improve the user experience for their consumers. A consumer requests linear on demand content by selecting channels and time ranges or content items, or bundles thereof, which the service provider broadcasts as linear content. The requested content is broadcast, and repackaged as an unbroken block of content for the consumer during the requested time range or the duration of the content item. By repackaging the linear on demand content, the service provider may provide greater options to consumers without significantly increasing the amount of bandwidth used in its network to deliver that content. Channel guides and viewing features are tailored for the requested content to further improve the user experience.

The media content provider records and or otherwise stores video content from around the world. Subscribers are provided a user interface to the system that includes a channel bar. The channel bar is dynamically scoped responsive to interactions of a viewer with the system. Selectable elements within the channel bar provide direct access to related content regarding video content, such as television series information and cast information. In addition, the channel bar is operable in multiple modes. An EPG mode displays live video for multiple channels simultaneously. Themed modes permit channel bars that display content according to various themes which may be defined by a viewer, the provider, or both.

A media file hash value may be generated by applying a hash function to the media file including the metadata. The media file hash value may be included in a message and uploaded to the assigned media file address in the blockchain platform as a transaction in the blockchain. An indication that the media file is uploaded to the media repository may be delivered to a subscriber device from which the media file was received.

Abstract: An online system receives a media stream from a host of a live broadcasting stream and a second media stream from a guest of the host, and generates a single composite stream that includes the multiple live streams. The online system decodes and aligns the video and audio frames of each live stream to ensure that the composite stream displays the multiple live streams in a synchronized fashion. Additionally, the composite stream can display the multiple live streams in a particular format (e.g. side-by-side, or picture-in-picture), and therefore, the online system adjusts the video and audio frames of each live stream to fit that format. For each composite stream, the online system employs a decision engine that identifies the optimal set of encoded composite streams based on a variety of characteristics. The online system encodes the composite stream and distributes the appropriately encoded composite stream to client devices for display to viewers.

For example, a display may have first and second content generated for display. If the first content is more important to a user than the second content, a size of the first content will be increased with respect to a size of the second content on the display. Abstract: A method of operating a video services receiver is provided. The video services receiver can record program content and present recorded program content to a user. The method provides first program content to a presentation device, and obtains a request for program content recorded from the particular programming service (channel) that is providing the first program content. In response to the request, the method searches for recorded program content associated with the particular programming service, and then controls a display of search results obtained from the searching. The display is rendered as an interactive channel-specific listing of recorded content.

Abstract: Techniques for utilizing flash storage as an extension of hard disk (HDD) storage are provided. In one embodiment, a computer system stores a subset of blocks of a logical file in a first physical file, associated with a first data structure that represents a filesystem object, on flash storage and a subset of blocks, associated with a second data structure that represents a filesystem object comprising tiering configuration information that includes an identifier of the first physical file, in a second physical file on HDD storage. The computer system processes an I/O request directed to the logical file by directing it to either the physical file on the flash storage or the HDD storage by verifying that the tiering configuration information exists in the data structure and determining whether the one or more blocks are part of the first subset of blocks or the second subset of blocks.

The bitrate selected may be based on, for example, bandwidth capabilities and/or video quality standards. However, bandwidth capabilities may be taxed or exceeded if multiple videos are loaded simultaneously to the electronic device. Examples of the disclosure can be used to manage bandwidth, adjust bitrates, and/or selectively load video and audio in accordance with bandwidth capabilities to provide uninterrupted video playback at a relatively high quality. Further, video players may be allocated in memory and re-used as a user scrolls and switches through a number of videos playing onscreen concurrently.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for identifying and tracking UAVs including a plurality of sensors operatively connected over a network to a configuration of software and/or hardware. Generally, the plurality of sensors monitors a particular environment and transmits the sensor data to the configuration of software and/or hardware. The data from each individual sensor can be directed towards a process configured to best determine if a UAV is present or approaching the monitored environment. The system generally allows for a detected UAV to be tracked, which may allow for the system or a user of the system to predict how the UAV will continue to behave over time. The sensor information as well as the results generated from the systems and methods may be stored in one or more databases in order to improve the continued identifying and tracking of UAVs.
