Spaced Cut Forming Tool Patents (Class 83/695)
  • Patent number: 4079646
Abstract: An apparatus for use in a data terminal device or other type of business machine for providing a plurality of different cutting configurations on a receipt or other type of record member. The apparatus includes a rotatably mounted stationary blade member having a plurality of different cutting edge configurations, a rotating blade member coacting with one of the cutting edges of the stationary blade member to cut the record member in accordance with the configuration of the cutting edge of the stationary blade member, and selectively operated activating means for rotating the stationary blade member to position one of the cutting edges thereof adjacent the record member so as to provide a predetermined cutting pattern on the record member upon operation of the rotating blade member.

  • Patent number: 4004481
Abstract: Device for making a perforation in film material, especially plastics film material, said device comprising a reciprocatable support beam for a plurality of perforating blades the cutting edges of which are saw-tooth shaped. A driving means moves, simultaneously with the support beam a series of suction members in the direction of the operative position and back, said series extending with minor spacing substantially parallel to the perforating blades. Means are provided for the support beam and the series of suction members to perform, during displacement between the operative position and the rest position, but at a distance from the operative position, a relative displacement in the longitudinal direction, such that the top film layer is cut through while the other layer remains just perforated.

  • Patent number: 3973453
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the perforation of flexible film products, specifically flexible film bags wherein openings are provided for releasable retention of the bags on a wicket pin. Means are provided to form first and second openings, with said first opening comprising a plurality of spaced line slits intersecting generally at the mid-points thereof to form arcuately spaced wicket pin receiving sectors, and with one of said line slits being disposed generally parallel to the axis of the film bag. The second opening comprises a single line slit in projected continuation with that line slit of the first opening which is disposed parallel to the film bag axis, with the slit forming the second opening being disposed between the top open edge of the film bag and that line slit of the first opening which is parallel to the film bag axis.

  • Patent number: 3964354
Abstract: A flexile core material for laminated structures is produced by providing a sheet of rigid elastic foam plastic material having a pair of opposite sides; slotting the sheet from one side to form a plurality of longitudinally extending, contiguous, strips of equal width, said strips being articulately interconnected by hinge pieces constituted by unslotted portions of the sheet on the other side thereof, said unslotted portions being longitudinally spaced at equal intervals, and slotting the sheet transversely from one side to divide said strips into rectangular block-like elements of equal length, said elements being separated from one another save at said hinge connections.
