With Tool In-feed Patents (Class 83/753)
  • Publication number: 20020083816
Abstract: The invention relates to a cutting machine for cutting up foodstuffs, particularly sausage, ham, bacon, meat, cheese and the like, with a cutting head disposed on a base frame (8) as well as a product delivery unit with a guide (7) for the product to be cut and a feed arrangement, wherein at the cutting end of the product (6) to be cut a holder (1) is provided which fixes and shapes the foodstuff (6) and which can be retracted from the blade (11) with the guide (7) for the product to be cut in order to prevent the formation of slivers with idle strokes.

  • Patent number: 5259284
Abstract: A carpenter's saw designed for use in beveling the ends or edges to form a miter joint is disclosed. The saw comprises mainly a saw base and a saw support. The saw base includes a horizontal base face having a fan-shaped portion disposed at the center thereof. The saw support is fastened to the fan-shaped portion. A hacksaw is mounted on the saw support. The saw support comprises a suspension arm which is pivoted horizontally to the bottom of the fan-shaped portion. Two seats are separately arranged at both ends of the long axis of the suspension arm. Located on each of the two seats are arc-shaped recesses which have the same curvature radii. Two rotating members are lodged separately in the two arc-shaped recesses in order to rotate along the arc-shaped rails provided. Two support rods are vertically mounted on the rotating members for the hacksaw to be fastened thereon.

  • Patent number: 4907479
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting a laminated sheet material includes a pedestal for supporting on a support surface thereof a laminate of a sheet material at least the upper and lower surfaces of which are covered with an air-impermeable sheet. Arranged on the support surface is a suction pipe a side face of which is provided with a suction port for attracting a side face of the laminate. Connected to the suction pipe is a suction pipe drive unit for reciprocating the suction pipe in one direction. Coupled to a cutter head arranged above the laminate is a cutter head drive unit for reciprocating the cutter head in a direction orthogonal to the direction in which the suction pipe is reciprocated. A guide groove opposing the path along which the cutter head is reciprocated is provided in the support surface of the pedestal, and a number of closure plates driven in synchronization with the cutter head are fitted in the guide groove, the closure plates being interconnected.

  • Patent number: 4329894
Abstract: In a cutting machine composed of a machine base carrying a workpiece table defining a workpiece support surface, a workpiece feed rollway presenting a workpiece carrying surface and disposed for feeding a workpiece onto the table, and a pair of clamping jaws mounted on the workpiece table for permitting passage therebetween of a workpiece fed by the feed rollway, at least one of the clamping jaws being movable relative to the other jaw in a direction transverse to the direction of feed effected by the feed rollway for clamping a workpiece on the table, there is further provided: a pivot bearing supporting the machine base for pivotal movement about a pivot axis which is substantially horizontal and parallel to the feed rollway feed direction; and a vertical displacement mechanism operatively associated with the machine base for pivoting the base between a workpiece feed position in which the workpiece support surface is below the workpiece carrying surface and a workpiece cutting position in which the workpie

  • Patent number: 4327615
Abstract: A method and apparatus for cutting multi-ply layups of limp sheet material employs an automatically controlled machine with a knife blade and a controller for guiding the blade along cutting paths defined by a marker of pattern pieces. The marker contains a plurality of pattern pieces in a closely packed array which causes the pattern pieces and segments of the cutting paths to be in contact or in close proximity to one another, and makes accurate cutting difficult or impossible. Digitized data defining a cutting program for the marker is preprocessed in a data processor to identify critical segments of cutting paths where cutting difficulties may arise and introduces into the data remedial command signals that guide the cutting blade past the identified critical segments for more accurate cutting.
