  • Patent number: 11017754
Abstract: A singing scoring method and a singing scoring system based on streaming media are provided. In the singing scoring method and the singing scoring system, a first time difference between a moment at which a streaming video player starts to play a song and a moment at which an electronic device starts an audio recording program and a scoring engine is calculated. In addition, in the singing scoring method and the singing scoring system, a playing time difference of the streaming video player within every fixed period of a system time of the electronic device is continuously calculated, and the playing time difference is transferred to the scoring engine for accumulation to form a second time difference. The scoring engine then adjusts a singing time of each note in an entire musical score according to the first time difference and the second time difference.

  • Patent number: 10978033
Abstract: A method and system for visualizing music using a perceptually conformal mapping system are provided. A music source file is input into a processor configured to carry out a series of steps on audio cues identified within the music and ultimately generate a simultaneous visual representation on a display device. The series of steps include application of one or more perceptually conformal mapping systems that essentially induce a synesthetic experience in which a person can experience music both acoustically and visually at the same time. The device extracts cues from the music that are designed to specifically capture fundamentals of human appreciation, maps them into visual cues, then presents those visual cues synchronized with the source music.

  • Patent number: 10957293
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for encoding digital representations of musical compositions are described. Various components of a musical composition that are defined in modern music theory, such as notes and bars, are encoded as respective hierarchically-dependent data objects in a data file. The hierarchically-dependent data objects encode the musical composition in a tree-like data structure with modular nodes and adjustable relationships between nodes. Note start times and beat start times are encoded independently of one another and characterized by a timing relationship that captures the expressiveness imbued when notes and beats are not precisely synchronized. Musical variations that preserve the timing relationship between the notes and beats of the original composition are also generated and encoded.

  • Patent number: 10629176

Abstract: In an approach to determining a background music tempo, one or more computer processors receive a request from a user. The one or more computer processors determine a response to the request will include an action to be performed by the user. The one or more computer processors determine a ranking of one or more instruction characteristics associated with a first instruction. The one or more computer processors predict a performance of the first instruction by the user. Based on the determined ranking and the predicted performance of the first instruction by the user, the one or more computer processors determine a beats per minute range for music to accompany performance of the first instruction. The one or more computer processors render the first instruction and background music associated with the first instruction, where the background music is at the determined beats per minute range.

  • Patent number: 10446123
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to automatically identifying structures of a music stream. A segment structure may be generated that visually indicates repeating segments of a music stream. To generate a segment structure, a feature that corresponds to a music attribute from a waveform corresponding to the music stream is extracted from a waveform, such as an input signal. Utilizing a signal segmentation algorithm, such as a Variable Markov Oracle (VMO) algorithm, a symbolized signal, such as a VMO structure, is generated. From the symbolized signal, a matrix is generated. The matrix may be, for instance, a VMO-SSM. A segment structure is then generated from the matrix. The segment structure illustrates a segmentation of the music stream and the segments that are repetitive.
