Abstract: A trailer for hauling on the fifth wheel of a tractor-truck. The fifth wheel attachment point of the trailer is substantially above the flat floor thereof, the trailer's front wall and floor being at right angles to each other as are the trailer's top and rear, but the angle between the rear and the floor being obtuse so that the trailer is taller at its front than it is at the rear. Jacks are provided at the front of the trailer to level the floor for loading while allowing the forward portion to be tilted downwardly for attachment to the fifth wheel and hauling.
Abstract: An automotive roof spoiler having retractable, concealable lamps particularly suitable for trucks and other vehicles used for both on-road and off-road purposes. The automotive roof spoiler includes lamps which are mounted within the roof spoiler about axes which are generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the spoiler and a motor, preferably located within the roof spoiler, which rotates the lamps from a first position wherein the back surfaces of the lamps are generally parallel with the top upwardly inclined surface of the roof spoiler for on-road use to a second position wherein the front surfaces of the lamps are generally vertical and extend above the spoiler top surface for off-road use. The preferred embodiment includes covers which are hingedly attached to the spoiler adjacent the back surface and which cover the lamp openings in the top wall of the spoiler in coplanar relation when the lamps are rotated to the downward closed position for on-road use.
Abstract: An air scoop is shown for use in combination with a vehicle having an engine air intake port located in a side panel of a body panel of the vehicle; the scoop has a forward inlet and a rearward discharge end; the scoop extends outwardly beyond the normal contour of the vehicular body so that the inlet functions as a scoop-like inlet while the discharge end serves to direct such air as flows into the air scoop into the engine air intake port.
