    Abstract: A new and distinct variety of grapevine plant named ‘SV28-100-849’ particularly characterized by its ellipsoidal shaped, red skinned berries which are large, sweet and have very firm texture. Additionally, flower clusters and berries are very responsive to exogenous gibberellic acid application. When applied at full flowering, gibberellic acid reduces fruit set, producing loose, well-filled clusters. Gibberellic acid applied to clusters after berry set increases the berry size considerably, in some cases approximately doubling berry size over when combined with trunk girdling.
