Abstract: A tool having several coaxially disposed socket members housed within each other and corresponding to conventional sizes. The sockets are spring loaded, and each reduces its diameter towards the outer end that prevents the abutting sockets contained therein from falling off as a result of gravity or the spring force of the different spring members associated with each one of the sockets. The springs members urge these sockets outwardly, and the springs members of the sockets that are smaller than the head of the bolt or screw being matched are overcome and retracted, thereby the matching socket cooperatively engages with the head. Corresponding covers provide the necessary support area for the springs to exert their force against their corresponding socket members. An upper master socket assembly is removably mounted to the larger socket member, and it provides suitable engagement for a crank or lever to produce the necessary torque to rotate the socket members.

Abstract: A tool for mounting and leveling forming boards to a vertical wall that has three legs parallel to each other. Two of these legs are separated sufficiently to permit a forming board only between them while the third leg is separated a larger distance and typically the distance between two spaced apart forming boards. A puncturing mechanism is mounted to the outer leg of the pair that accepts the forming board so that it can be releasably held. A leveling device is mounted on a transverse member that connects all three legs.

Abstract: An impoundment for farming shrimp located in the proximity of salt and fresh water sources defined by a retaining wall defining a substantially rectangular area with a channel adjacent to the inner side of said wall and a central portion having its bottom surface above the plane of the bottom surface of the channel. One reservoir for storing salt water is located in a location of said rectangular area in close proximity to the salt water source and it also discharges the salt water contained therein into the rectangular area. Another reservoir for storing fresh water is located in the rectangular area in close proximity to the fresh water source. Another pumping assembly is used for pumping the fresh water from the fresh water source into said second reservoir means. A barrier divides the rectangular area so that two sub-areas are defined and one of the subareas being farther away from the reservoirs includes an opening of relatively small diameter.

Abstract: A coconut opener (10) with an extractor for the section of the skin and shell to be removed. The opener (10) includes a handle assembly (20) wherein a off center handle member (24) is rigidly mounted to a shank that in turn is rigidly mounted to a blade assembly (40). The blade assembly (40) has an arcuate shape and it includes two different edge zones. The first edge zone (42) is designed to puncture through the skin and shell of the coconut and it has a strait angular relationship with the back of the blade. The next zone includes edges (44) and (46) follows a tangent relationship with the back of blade (40) and it ends up with a cross-sectional shape of half of an eliptical path. When the opener is fully inserted, and rotated, a section of the skin and shell is thereby removed.

Abstract: A holder for jewelry items and watches that includes illumination and upwardly mounted support member for storing and displaying these items. A base with a flat surface is provided to provide structural integrity to the structure while at the same time houses the batteries and/or wires that provide the electrical energy to the holder's illuminating device. A horizontal support member is disposed so that it includes a bend where the watches' straps are positioned thereby securing them in place. Also, a hook member is rigidly mounted to the underside of the horizontal member so that other jewelry items can be suspended from it. One or more frustoconical members are rigidly mounted to the vertical support members thereby providing the member for receiving and holding in place rings and other cooperating jewelry items.

Abstract: An apparatus for lifting tanks where several hydraulic jack assemblies are positioned adjacent to the external peripheral wall of the tank and, if the tank has large dimensions, additional hydraulic jack assemblies are positioned inside the tank. After the jack assemblies are secured to the tank structure, the lifting operation is begun. The jack assemblies provide the necessary lifting force from a substantial hydraulic pressure and relatively small displacement. The jack assemblies are inverted so that the housing is lifted while the rod stays stationary. After complete distension, log members are inserted below the lowermost end of the jack housing and the rod retracted. Then, an additional log member is inserted below the retracted rod and the lifting operation renewed.

Abstract: A device for stabilizing and correcting deformations of the spine being surgically mountable over the vertebrae and having substantially the shape of a rectangular frame that extends over the length of the vertebrae to be corrected. The device includes two elongated rigid members kept in a spaced apart relationship by rigid curved members on the approximate ends and spacer members in between. The curved members are mounted at a position that is slightly separated from the ends of the elongated members and in cooperation with hook members that are positioned on the outer periphery of the elongated members receive tying wires that secure the vertebrae to the frame maintaining the former in the corrective configuration.

Abstract: A mechanism to be used on vehicles' chassis for lifting loads and including scissor-action means that are distensible by applying hydraulic force to its structural members. The mechanism includes a safety linkage assembly for connecting the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder to the structural members that are pivotally mounted to the chassis. The linkage mechanism prevents slipping of the rod under drastic load changes.

Abstract: An underwater signaling device being removably mounted to the strap commonly found in scuba diving tanks. The device includes two elongated members an one of them being removably secured to the strap while the other one, hingedly mounted to the first one, is urged towards the latter by the spring action of the wound common ends connecting each other. A solid mass is rigidly mounted to the movable elongated member and an impact receiving plate is mounted to the fixed elongated member so that when the movable member is released the impact is taken by the plate and not directly by the tank.

Abstract: A padlock protector comprising a housing member and a locking rod rigidly mounted, offcentered, inside the housing. The locking rod cooperates with the shackle of a padlock to secure the latter inside the housing when the padlock is fastened to a latching device. The housing member is provided with cooperative cut-out portions at one end thereof for receiving the hardware members of the latching device when the padlock is fastened to the latching device.

Abstract: An accessory device for conventional refrigeration systems that include an auxiliary compressor of lower capacity piped in parallel with the compressor of the conventional system. The auxiliary compressor cuts in after a certain temperature is reached and automatically the speed of the fan is decreased to compensate for the lower capacity of the system. Time delays are incorporated to each of the compressors to allow the high and low pressure ports to equalize.

Abstract: A telecommunications circuit pairs identifier device that has a transmitter portion that is connected to a predetermined group of pairs at the trunk line termination point and a receiver that is plugged at each one of the jacks distributed in a given network. The transmitter continuously accesses each one of the circuit pairs by counting them and transmits, during the time of access or selection, the count for that particular jack. The receiver portion of the device is removably connectable to each jack and detects, decodes and displays the output sent so that a user can identify the pair in the jack with a particular predetermined pair termination.

Abstract: A process for preparing green plantains and the product derived therefrom wherein the green plantain is radially sliced and the core removed. Next, the plantain is immersed in a salted solution with lemon juice after the skin has been removed from the slices. Then, the slices are fried briefly and then flattened out. The resulting product is then frozen and packed for shipment.

Abstract: A device for surgically correcting and stabilizing spine deformations in scoliosis patients. Two rigid elongated members, parallel to each other, are kept in a spaced apart relationship by two curved rigid members mounted on their ends. Several hook members are provided to cooperate with wire that is tied around the vertebrae adjacent to the ends of the elongated members.

Abstract: A roof tile that has a top upper rectangular flat member and a wedged honeycomb frame integrally built on its underside. Grooves are formed on the underside of the top rectangular member and substantially adjacent to the lateral sides of the top rectangular flat member. The front and rear wall of the wedged from structure extend diagonally downwardly from the underside of the top member and towards the front of the tile. A cooperating gutter member is positioned below the interface of horizontally abutting tiles to collect the water that goes through the interface opening and to discharge it over the vertically abutting roof tile in front.
