Abstract: A mousetrap having a housing with an entrance compartment, a one-way tunnel connected to the upper part of the entrance compartment and a storage compartment. The entrance compartment has a resettable balance or ramp that tips over when the animal walks over it towards a bait that is positioned at a suitable location beyond the tipping point. Once tipped, the balance portion leading to the entrance is elevated beyond the entrance opening leaving only one available path for the animal, the one-way tunnel. A latch member holds the balance in that position until it is released by the animal after it goes through a second one-way door inside the tunnel. From the tunnel, the animal can only go to the storage compartment.
Abstract: A bait activator for fishing lines having a DC motor, batteries and programmable controlling circuitry within a water tight house. The motor shaft is attached to the line leader causing it to rotate in both directions, alternatively. The housing may be allowed to float or it may be sunk, depending on the type of fishing the user is engaged in. The shaft of the motor is insulated from the line leader it is driving to prevent damage or electric leakage. The circuitry is programmed to cause a rotational movement on the bait that imitates that of life bait.
Abstract: A self-propelled wheeled wagon having cargo and seat sections. The user transmits a reciprocating movement, through a propelling mechanism, to the on of the rear wheel. The steering is achieved by directly moving the pivoting front wheels axle with the user's feet. The front wheels axle is provided with an axle stopper mechanism that prevents the axle from moving beyond a predetermined angle thereby minimizing the probability of injuring the user.
Abstract: A toothpaste extractor or dispenser having a pneumatic pump connected to a syringe assembly that injects compressed air inside a toothpaste tube thereby urging the phase out through a nozzle positioned above a carrier assembly where the user's toothbrush is engaged. The user's force pushing the carrier in actuates, through a linking assembly, the pneumatic pump. All of these elements are mounted within a housing assembly.
Abstract: An automatic tuning device for guitars and string instruments in general having a string tensioning mechanism adapted to vary the tension of the strings from the tail piece in response to the differences detected between the reference signals and the string signal produced. A reversible D.C. motor provides the rotational motion that is translated into a proportional linear motion that is used to either pull or release each one of the strings.
Abstract: A collar/leash combination for pets wherein a flexible member with a buckle attached to one end so that a collar can be formed by inserting the other end of the member through the buckle. Velcro material or loops are used to keep the leash section of the member wound around the pet's collar when the leash is not in use. A handle loop is formed at the other end of the flexible member. An alternate embodiment uses a pouch to keep the leash in place, attached to the pet's collar.
Abstract: An electric device for monitoring the usage of equipment that is being shared by one or more entities or individuals during a predetermined schedule and that needs to be made available to any one of these entities or individuals outside that schedule. The device includes timing means programmable for any schedule and capable of activating complementary relays, one of them a normally open and the other one a normally closed. The contacts of one of these relays being connected to a suitable point in the equipment being shared so that its operation may be interrupted or turned on. A plurality of second relay means, one associated with each one of the entities, are also connected to that point in the equipment so that each entity may be able to connect the equipment. Also, there is an elapsed time meter associated with each one of those second relay means so that the time that the equipment is used, outside the predetermined schedule, by a particular entity may be measured.
Abstract: A raising mechanism for drilling equipment towers mounted on a platform and having two pairs of linkage members, one shorter than the other one, each pair having its members connected on one end to each other and to the underside of the tower at spaced apart points. A cylinder is designed to vary the angle between the tower and the linkage members thereby causing the tower to move from a substantially horizontal position to a vertical position, or if desired, to a forward inclined position by the use of removable wedge elements.
Abstract: A device for mixing video and audio signals originated from at least one remote camera and one director camera including a main unit having a circuit for synchronizing the video signals of the remote and director cameras, and a circuit for combining these signals through the use of removable special effects cartridges or subassemblies that are pre-programmed for predetermined video switching patterns. The circuit for synchronizing the video signals separates the sync signals from the director and remote cameras, locks the vertical, horizontal and color subcarrier on the director camera from the remote camera. The device is connected through junction box to director camera and video tape recorder, and directly to remote camera.

Abstract: A tensioning device for the corner joints of a fabric stretcher that provides for incremental movement of each stretcher member at the corner joint for mitered, butt-end, or overlapping corner joints. The device includes first and second rigid channels each shaped in a right angle joined end to end to form a corner joint support. Each rigid member includes elongated apertures through which fasteners allow for rigid connection of the device to the stretcher members. Tensioning devices such as bolts or screws protrude through the bottom support members on each side to allow for individual tensioning against the frame member. In one embodiment the first and second right angled channels are themselves offset from the plane of the stretched fabric through the back support members to allow for lean-in of the stretcher members.
Abstract: This invention relates to the field of dispensing systems for the extraction of paste from squeezable tubes. Its features include puncturing the tube and forcing air pressure into same and apparatus for removal of predetermined amounts of paste. It is intended primarily as a dispenser for toothpaste to limit communicable disease transmission.
Abstract: This invention relates to dual purpose tote bags in which one purpose is to provide a carrying bag or box and the other is to provide for a semi-rigid surface, which can be used for carrying and, holding food and for providing a table-like surface during picnics and outings. Prior devices have never fully satisfied the second purpose, their surfaces being too soft and pliable, this leading to problems in fulfilling the first purpose also in that the bag would not provide a semi-rigid internal space for carrying a payload. This invention teaches a new construction and a new method for converting from one purpose to the other.The new construction is both internal; employing three layers, the center layer being of semi-rigid material and, external; in the arrangement of the panels of the three-layered material.The new method of folding employs a stepwise folding of the flat panels into a box-like shape, suitable for maintaining a semi-rigid internal space.
Abstract: A device for delivering an electric discharge to pets coming into contact with or coming close to bait, having an electrically insulated housing, circuitry for generating a high voltage mounted within the housing, including a battery to feed itself, an electrode surrounds the periphery of the housing and connected to one pole of the high voltage circuitry, and a second electrode mounted on the top cover of the housing connecting the other pole of the high voltage circuitry to the bait so that the electric circuit between the first and second electrode may be closed by the pet.
Abstract: A synchronization interface device to be used in conjunction with equipment with its own internally generated synchronization signal to allow harmonization with other external video signals from other devices to facilitate the manipulation of these signals, including means for separating the odd field from the internal and external signals and gate means producing a unique output state when both signals are in synchronization and a different output inhibiting the passage of the internally generated horizontal drive to means for comparing it against the external horizontal component so that the output from this comparison is fed to voltage oscillator means which produces an output in the 14 MHz range that is fed back to the slave equipment (AVE). If the gate means do not produce the unique output, the device experiences a drift until it locks in synchronization.
Abstract: YAn improved automatic flushing device for valve actuated toilets that is capable of being housed inside the toilet's water tank, out of the user's sight. The conventional water supply valve system is not altered and the flush valve assembly is actuated through floating means arranged in such a way that, depending on the water levels inside the tank, will urge the opening of the flush valve. When enough water has been drained out, the action of the floating means ceases and a tripping mechanism engages locking the floating means thereby preventing it from opening the flush valve again until the tripping mechanism is triggered in response to the users removing his or her weight from the toilet seat.
Abstract: A magneto-electrochemical reactor for the treatment of water comprising a non-magnetic conduit provided with an inlet and outlet and a hydro-magnetic homopolar generator including a ferromagnetic armature centrally disposed inside said conduit and adapted to rotate with the fluid flow and generate an electric current by cutting a magnetic field with said armature. The current generated produces ferrous ferric oxide which offers a preferential surface for deposition of scaling forming cations such calcium and magnesium, and further, by forming a protective ferrous film on the heat transfer surfaces being protected.
