Abstract: In some implementations, a system for providing and managing associations between mobile computing device and physical shopping carts used in retail stores includes a physical shopping cart configured to transport physical goods around a store. The physical shopping cart includes a product detection system that is programmed to detect products that are placed in the physical shopping cart, a wireless transceiver to wirelessly communicate with other devices, and a cart identifier that uniquely identifies the physical shopping cart. The system further includes a mobile computing device that is programmed (i) to obtain the cart identifier for the shopping cart, (ii) to establish an association with the physical shopping cart using the cart identifier, and (iii) once the association between the physical shopping cart and the mobile computing device has been established, to output a user interface that provides a real-time summary of the products in the physical shopping cart.

Abstract: Data structures, graphical user interfaces, and computer-implemented processes for automation of project management. In an embodiment, data structures are used to associate items with colors and elements. A virtual design board in a graphical user interface can then be automatically or semi-automatically populated with items that are associated with selected color(s) and/or element(s). A user may associate one or more of the populated items with a project, such as a wedding event. Abstract: Workers often forget to enter clockings indicating when they have arrived or left work or transferred between work activities. Various embodiments provide a system that predicts the risk of potential missed worker clockings and delivers alerts to the workers and/or their managers when that risk is high. The system analyzes historical data to find previous instances of missed clockings at an organization, extracts feature information regarding the context of the missed clockings, and calibrates a missing clocking risk model. The model is then used in either an online or batch mode to predict the risk of workers missing upcoming scheduled clockings. Based on these risk scores and system configurations, alerts are generated for employees and managers reminding them about the upcoming clockings and lowering the amount of missed clockings and subsequent remedies.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, bid specifications for an ecommerce transaction are transmitted from a party requesting bids to a plurality of bidders. Then a modification to the bid specifications is received from a first bidder of the plurality of bidders along with a bid in accordance with the modified bid specifications. The modified bid specifications may then be transmitted to the plurality of bidders other than the first bidder. Bids in accordance with the modified bid specifications are then received from each of the plurality of bidders other than the first bidder. One of the bids may be selected, and the ecommerce transaction may be consummated based on the selected bid.

Abstract: Systems and methods for integrating and managing an authentication and automated return process are provided. In example embodiments, a network system receives, via a first application protocol interface (API) call from an authenticator system, an indication that an item associated with a transaction is not authentic, whereby the transaction occurred on the network system between accounts associated with a first and second client device. Based on the receiving of the indication, the network system automatically causes a return to be created at the network system. The network system then automatically triggers processing of the return including transferring funds to the account associated with the first client device, the account associated with the first client device previously providing payment to purchase the item and the account associated with the second client device providing the item for sale.
