Abstract: The system and method for applying cosmetics includes an integral unit formed of a lower housing, an upper housing and a cover. A compressor module is housed inside the lower housing. A control module is housed inside the upper housing, above the compressor module. The control module includes a view screen, printed circuit board connected to the compressor module, an interactive control board connected to the printed circuit board, and a speaker. There is a cosmetics applicator formed by an air hose and an airbrush stylus. The air hose connects to the compressor module to supply compressed air to the airbrush stylus. The control module regulates compressed air to the airbrush stylus. The method of applying cosmetics includes activating the control module, producing audiovisual prompts for loading cosmetics for a desired cosmetic application, producing audio visual instructions for applying cosmetics for the desired cosmetic application, and applying the cosmetics.

Abstract: A kit for cleansing hair comprising: • a) a dry shampoo, in which the dry shampoo comprises a particulate material, preferably aluminum octenyl succinate starch or rice starch, preferably in the form of an aerosol; and • b) a substrate, preferably a flexible sheet comprising a non-woven material, preferably comprising cellulose fiber or polyester fiber and mixtures thereof, the substrate comprising a surfactant selected from the group consisting of nonionic, anionic, amphoteric and mixtures thereof.

Abstract: An interproximal dental tool for use by dental practitioners which contains several significant improvements over prior art interproximal dental tools which has an upper surface extending to a sidewall and a body section which in turn grasps a razor or blade member having a blade extending outwardly from the interproximal dental tool and which is placed between the patient's teeth to grind portions of teeth between two adjacent teeth. The tool is used for professional practice only and not by consumers. The significant improvements over the prior art interproximal dental tools are as follows: The exterior top surface and the exterior side surfaces of the present invention interproximal dental tool are made of grippable material which is primarily made of rubber.

Abstract: Disclosed are compositions suitable for use with an oral care implement. The compositions provide improved sensory appeal, and comparable reduction in volatile sulfur compounds and antibacterial activity to advanced formula toothpaste formulations. The compositions include a high percentage of antibacterial agent and flavoring, when compared to conventional toothpastes, and some mouth washes formulations, such that only minor amounts of the composition can be delivered to the oral care implement to provide improved reduction in volatile sulfur compounds, antibacterial efficacy, and optionally a cooling sensation.

Abstract: A flossing device and a method of manufacture thereof, consisting of a first elongated member and a second elongated member that is removably coupled to the first elongated member along an interior side of a top region of the first elongated member. The flossing device includes a floss member coupled to the second elongated member and extending through an aperture of the first elongated member. The floss member includes a first enlarged stop member at an end distal from the second elongated member and sized to fit within a countersunk enlarged channel but not fit through a narrow channel in communication with the enlarged channel.

Abstract: A toothbrush and toothpaste combination assembly includes a housing that has a top wall, a bottom wall and a perimeter wall attached to and extending therebetween. A toothpaste is contained within the housing. A brush is coupled to the housing. A toothpick is coupled to the bottom wall of the housing. An actuating apparatus is provided. The actuating apparatus is in mechanical communication with the toothpaste. The actuating apparatus is actuated to urge the toothpaste through the brush. A top cap is removably coupled to the top wall to cover the brush. A bottom cap is removably coupled to the bottom wall to cover the toothpick.

The cylinder has a first end, a second end, a cylindrical side wall, a central passage, and a plurality of vent apertures. Each bristle group comprises a plurality of bristles. The cylindrical side wall extends between the first and second end. The central passage extends within the cylinder between the first and second end. The plurality of bristle groups are spaced about the cylindrical side wall.

Abstract: When a turning portion on the front end side of the cover is turned in one direction, a turning-portion engagement part disposed in the turning portion engages with a container main body-side engagement part so as to close the cover. When the turning portion of the cover is turned in the opposite direction, engagement between the turning-portion engagement part and the container main body-side engagement part is released. When the turning portion is kept turned in the opposite direction, a turning-portion opening-operation auxiliary portion disposed in the turning portion abuts on a container main body-side opening-operation auxiliary portion and the cover can be pressed up with a weak force by the principle of the lever.

Abstract: A hair clip includes two hinged clip bodies and an elastic fastener. Each clip body includes a press portion with a through-hole therein. Each clip body further includes a clamp portion extending from the press portion and having a recess in an outer surface thereof. The elastic fastener includes two spaced end portions and a central portion between the end portions. The end portions of the elastic fastener respectively penetrate the through-holes in the press portions of the clip bodies and are engaged in the recesses in the clamp portions for positioning. The elastic fastener has a roughly elliptic cross section which contributes to service life of the hair clip.

Abstract: A powder applicator includes a base housing with a protruding brush and an opening into a cavity for storing powder beads. A body housing opening creates a chamber that transitions into a chute having a second smaller opening for delivery of powder. A filter partitions the chamber into grinding and delivery chambers, which are interconnected by selectively sized holes therein. Bristles of an applicator brush are secured about the chute. The base housing is rotatably secured to the body housing, with the first brush extending into the grinding chamber to thereby grind powder beads received therein into a powder. The first brush contacts the filter member and causes doffing of formed powder through the holes and into the delivery chamber. A cap having a cantilevered post snaps onto the body housing to protect the applicator brush when not in use, with the post's end plugging the delivery opening.

The wrist rest apparatus comprises a top console rotatably attached to a bottom console. The top console and the bottom consoles are defined by a solid plastic, semi-circular member having centrally disposed apertures in corresponding locations. The top console and the bottom console are joined together through a swivel member which is configured to pass through and be retained in the apertures, providing an axis about which the top console can rotate relative to the bottom console. Rotating locking mechanisms are included to allow rotation to be limited, with the top console being fixed in a parallel orientation relative to the bottom console.

Abstract: In some aspects, an artificial nail or tip arrangement can include a body having a concave lower surface with a shape corresponding to a natural nail; an adhesive layer having a first surface to adhere to a portion of the lower surface of the body and a second surface to adhere to a portion of the natural nail; and a removable layer that covers a portion of the second surface of the adhesive layer, the removable layer having at least one slit formed therethrough and disposed along a planar surface of the removable layer, wherein the at least one slit is configured to facilitate conformance of the planar surface of the removable layer to the concave lower surface of the body without wrinkling the removable layer.

Abstract: An apparatus, kit and method for applying a French manicure to a user's own nails or those of a customer using a simple finger guide which permits the positioning of a finger relative to a reservoir of acrylic nail polish powder. In one form, the apparatus is comprised of a finger guide which can be removably associated with an acrylic nail polish powder-containing vessel. Alternative embodiments include those with a finger guide being integrally formed with the vessel/jar. A method for applying a French manicure using the apparatus of the invention is also contemplated. The kit includes a supply of one or more acrylic nail polish powders, a finger guide, and the necessary materials to cause the acrylic nail polish powder to be converted to a solid nail polish coating.

Abstract: A dental hygiene device includes a toothbrush component and at least one interdental brush component that can be stored within the toothbrush component. At least one ventilation window located within the toothbrush component allows for drying of the interdental brush component to prevent the growth of biofilms. The interdental brush component removably attaches to the toothbrush component by a latch mechanism, a door mechanism or a friction fit between the interdental brush component and the toothbrush component.

Abstract: A toothpick assembly including a toothpick and a case within which the toothpick is detachably engaged. The toothpick includes a tapered tip which is generally triangular in cross-section having opposed sides connected by a generally flat end and an apex. A bristle array is provided on each side and the end and apex are free of bristles. The bristle array is configured as a sinuous or serpentine wave. Bristles in each array are smallest closest to an end of the tip and progressively increase in size as you move away therefrom. The toothpick is movable within the case's bore between a fully retracted, a partially extended and a fully extended position. A locking mechanism selectively locks the toothpick in any of these positions. When the toothpick is to be changed, the locking mechanism is disengaged and the toothpick is slid out of the bore and is replaced with another toothpick.

Abstract: Disclosed is a new use for water soluble cellulosic paper, which is triangular, planar, foldable, biodegradable, and non-toxic to the user and environment. It has been found that water soluble paper is effective as a substitute for foil in the hair color-highlighting process. Numerous benefits have been found with this invention, among them: it is eco-friendly, more comfortable to the user than foil, leaves hair conditioned and shiny, and does not damage hair as foil tends to.
