Abstract: A device for making artificial nails from a synthetic material comprises a semi-rectangular metallic film-coated plastic sheet and a wax-coated sheet. The wax-coated sheet has a first surface, a second surface and adhesive material on one of the surfaces which attaches the wax-coated sheet to the semi-rectangular metal film-coated plastic sheet so that the latter sheet is removable. The semi-rectangular metallic film-coated plastic sheet comprises a dotted symmetry line, a pair of symmetrical internal flaps and a pair of external flaps to fasten the device on a finger of a human hand, a removable cover having a base and an ergonomic design of a human fingernail, which when removed defines a hole shaped as a fingernail, and a central section having a template with a grid for making artificial nails of different sizes ranging from 3 mm to 42 mm.

Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus comprising a bobby pin holder, a bobby pin opening mechanism, and an adjustable bracelet made out of a durable material such as a leather strap that wraps around the user's wrist and is secured in place. The most preferred embodiments of the present invention include a bobby pin opening mechanism that has a pair of wedge shaped edges that can be used to open bobby pins by pressing the legs of the bobby pin against one of the wedge shaped edges, thereby forcing the legs of the bobby pin apart and opening the bobby pin for use by a hair dresser or hair stylist. Additionally, one or more ridges formed in the body of the bobby pin opening mechanism may be used to hold the bobby pin opened and ready for use.

Abstract: The invention provides a nail polish device for applying or removing nail polish. The nail polish device comprises a liquid delivering material for delivering a liquid nail polish or liquid nail polish removing composition; a main body structure substantially enclosing the liquid delivering material with an opening for receiving the fingers or toes of the user during use; and a vapor inhibiting material disposed on the main body structure, along the surface proximal to the liquid delivering material. The vapor inhibiting material is effective in inhibiting vapors and/or excess liquids from the liquid nail polish or removing composition by either absorbing same and/or neutralizing same.

A second arm is coupled to the joint, including: a second handle with a plurality of finger grooves extending from the joint below the first handle; and a second heating iron with a heat indicator extending in an arc from the joint. A temperature sensor activates a light when said sensor detects heat above a threshold temperature. The temperature switch permits selectable temperature settings of the heating irons up to about 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The heating irons each include an interior, arcuate, heating plate that is matched to each other.

Abstract: A hair apparatus and hair retention method includes a spine having a longitudinal axis, wherein the spine includes a hole and a peg outwardly protruding from an edge of the spine and substantially along the longitudinal axis of the spine. The spine includes a plurality of protrusions outwardly projecting orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the spine. The hair apparatus further includes a first clip portion including a first connecting mechanism that non-integrally connects the first clip portion with the spine, wherein the first connecting mechanism is positioned at a first end of the first clip portion. The first clip portion includes a first attachment mechanism positioned at a second end of the first clip portion, wherein the first end is at an opposite end from the second end, and thereby the first connecting mechanism and the first attachment mechanism are positioned at opposite ends of the first clip portion.

Abstract: A hair implement, such as a comb, brush, or pick, is disclosed that includes a handle section containing a rotational bearing within an annular opening in the handle section. Abstract: A cosmetic method for temporary modification of an appearance of a contour of an eye is disclosed. The cosmetic method comprises placing an aesthetic prosthesis at least on a hollow portion of an upper eyelid. The hollow portion is situated close to a medial canthus. The placing includes visually and/or physically filling at least a portion of the hollow portion with at least a first portion of the aesthetic prosthesis. An aesthetic filler prosthesis and a kit for an aesthetic filler prosthesis are also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for shaping pubic hair, comprising a shape-determining member having a circumference for determining the shape of the pubic hair to be realized. The device also comprises a handle for a user to place the shape-determining member on the skin manually. The device comprises a tightening member for pushing in the skin under the device at a distance from the circumference of the shape-determining member, whereby the skin is pushed in deeper underneath the tightening member than underneath the circumference of the shape-determining member. The presence of the tightening member reduces the pressure on the skin at the circumference, owing to which a fold is prevented or is less deep and the slope is less steep. This enables a razor to come closer to the circumference of the template, which makes the contour sharper.
