Abstract: A hair extension device can include single and dual clip member apparatuses. Hair extension tracks can be applied to the outer surface areas of an apparatus, along the upper edge of a clip member, allowing hair extensions to lie over the entire outer region of the clip. The entire outer surface areas of said clip member apparatuses can contain no holes or at least one row of holes at the top edge of a clip member, providing various means for attaching hair extension tracks. The natural hair can be secured to an apparatus by a row of comb-like teeth that point upward against the scalp when properly applied, providing complementary mating between that natural hair and the slots formed at the base of the comb-like teeth, or by placing the hair in between the apparatus. An apparatus can be opened and closed by snap-action lock.

Abstract: A quick and convenient method for coloring hair is disclosed. According to an embodiment, a hair dye applicator is provided. The hair dye applicator includes two containers that can be locked together prior to use. Each container can include at least one hair dye component. In one embodiment, a first container can include a hair color component while the second container can include a developer.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to personal grooming apparatus that include coatings on the surface thereof that incorporate static dissipative additives that reduce the static build-up in the hair of users as compared to conventional apparatus. Other aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods for producing such apparatus, and methods for grooming the hair of an individual.

Abstract: A brush for the hair and scalp which is able to disperse styling products, therapeutic, and medicated treatments from a coated insert when used with a hair dryer. The brush's handle having a lever which is able to progress and retract the aligning of cylindrical housing tubes encasing a product insert. When the user desires the product application, the lever is engaged allowing air to pass through the brush barrel and the cylindrical housing tubes moving the product to the hair or scalp. When the lever and cylindrical housing tubes are not engaged, the brush can be used as any other brush would be.

Abstract: A device and method for protecting the nails on a hand or foot from discoloration during a skin tanning process. The device is a one-piece “nail glove” configured to only cover the distal ends of the fingers or toes, while leaving the rest of the hand or foot exposed for the skin tanning process. The glove, which may be produced in the form of a low-cost disposable unit, is made from one or more materials, preferably UV resistant, and in some embodiments also biodegradable. The glove will be applied to the tips of the fingers or toes prior to the skin tanning process, kept on during the skin tanning process, and then removed afterwards. Various low cost materials and methods of producing and dispensing the device are also taught.

Abstract: An apparatus for styling hair includes a handle frame, a treatment segment extending from the handle frame for applying treatment to hair of a subject, at least one control member disposed on the handle frame and a cover mounted to the handle frame. The cover is adapted to transition between an open position permitting access to the at least one control member and a closed position substantially enclosing the at least one control member, thereby protecting the at least one control member from moisture, hair treatment agents and/or contaminants. The cover may be dimensioned and adapted to be releasably secured in the closed position through magnetic or other mechanisms/methodologies.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a cleaning tool, a cleaning sheet and method of removes debris, lint, or hair from a variety of surfaces. The cleaning tool is provided with a first array of stems and a second array of stems, wherein the first array of stems are smaller and more densely included on a cleaning surface of the cleaning tool. The larger stems are able to loosen and pull deeply embedded hair from loose fabric surfaces, while the smaller stems are able to capture and retain the loosened hair.

Abstract: A hair band comprises a stretchable body and a center hole. The center hole increases in diameter when the hair band is moved from a rest position to a stretched position. A distance between an outer edge of the body and an outer edge of the center hole is greater than the center hole diameter when the hair band is in a rest position. The distance between the outer edge of the center hole and the outer edge of the body decreases and the inner diameter increases as the hair band is stretched. In some embodiments, the body is hollow and filled with one or more of a gel substance, a granular solid, and a viscous liquid. In some embodiments, the hair band is manufactured by one or more of an extrusion molding process and an injection molding process.

Abstract: A pocket-sized container securable to the back of a mobile phone or smart-phone-like device for a personal care product (preferably a cosmetic) includes a housing substantially smaller than the phone and provided with an adhesive layer on its bottom surface for securing the housing to the rear surface of the phone. The top surface of the housing has a substantially reflective mirror-like surface. The container includes a sliding drawer having a personal care product contained therein (pills, mints, cosmetics, blush, lip gloss, etc.). The drawer is slidable into and out of the housing to provide access to the personal care product while the housing is adhered to the phone. The drawer preferably includes a pair of opposed finger-gripping surfaces, such as raised ridges or projections, adapted to facilitate sliding of the drawer out of the housing. Replaceable trays of personal care products can be inserted into the drawer, as desired.

Abstract: Described is a method for grouping eyelashes and applying eyelash extensions based on the eyelash groupings. The method includes an act of forming an eyelash group, the eyelash group including a plurality of actual eyelashes that are adhered together to form the eyelash group. An eyelash is separated from the eyelash group using tweezers or another similar item. Thereafter, an eyelash extension is adhered to the eyelash that is separated from the eyelash group, thereby providing a user with an eyelash group and an eyelash extension applied to an actual eyelash. The process can be repeated for any desired amount of remaining ungrouped eyelashes.
