Abstract: Methods and devices for attaching hair weaves to a wearer's existing hair are described. A hair extension/weave portion (e.g., a system comprised of a plurality of natural and/or synthetic hair strands) may be attached to an attachment strip member via a base member with a suture, such as a thread or stitch. The attachment strip member may be formed of a flexible material, such that it can conform to the contours of the wearer's head/scalp. Holes may be provided on the attachment strip member so to allow the attachment of one or more clip members thereto. The clip members, having the attachment strip member and hair extension portion attached thereto, may then be inserted into the wearer's existing hair so as to secure the hair extension system thereto. The clip members, and thus the hair extension system, may then be easily removed from the wearer's existing hair when desired.

Abstract: Provided is an implement that has a handle adapted to be positioned on a user's hand such that the user's hand goes through the handle. The handle has an aperture that is adapted to accept a user's hand. The implement of the present invention may have a wide variety of implements as described herein. Particular implements include, for example, personal care implements such as, eating utensils, a toothbrush or a hair care implement, such as, a hairbrush or comb.

Abstract: A makeup application component includes a three-dimensional mask, a transfer layer, and a pigment layer. A surface curve of a first surface of the three-dimensional mask is corresponding to a surface curve of a face of a user. The transfer layer covers the first surface of the three-dimensional mask. The transfer layer is provided with a first surface and a second surface that are opposite each other. The first surface of the transfer layer clings to the first surface of the three-dimensional mask, and the pigment layer is attached to the second surface of the transfer layer.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for applying at least one application agent to hair, comprising a housing unit (11a; 11b; 11c) which at least partially encloses at least one depot volume (12a; 12b; 12c) for accommodating at least one component of the at least one application agent (10a; 10b; 10c). According to the invention, the device comprises a dispenser unit (13a; 13b; 13c) which is designed to discharge the at least one component of the application agent (10a; 10b; 10c) from an application agent container (14a; 14b; 14c) that is at least partially inserted into the depot volume (12a; 12b; 12c).

Abstract: A hair styling device comprises a handle, a heatable elongated member having a longitudinal axis, a distal portion and a proximal portion. The proximal portion of the elongated member is connected to the handle. The device has a hair retention slot at the distal portion of the elongated sized to receive and retain a section of a user's hair. Also described is an attachment for a hair styling device providing such a hair retention slot and a method of using the device and the attachment.

Abstract: Provided is a hairdressing appliance, which includes a portable treatment unit provided with a gripping device and a heat and steam treatment system configured for heating hair and for applying steam to this hair, a base remote from the portable treatment unit, and connection device between the base and the portable treatment unit configured for supplying the portable treatment unit at least with electricity from the base. The hairdressing appliance includes a circuit board for controlling the treatment system arranged in the base and a system of communication between the control circuit board and the treatment system. The hairdressing appliance enables, for example, the straightening, curling, or crimping of hair and chiefly aims to reduce the weight and the bulk of the portable treatment unit so as to make it easier to handle during styling.

Abstract: A hair roller includes a tubular body having a generally cylindrical outer wall and defining a hollow chamber therewithin, first and second generally circular end closures respectively sealing first and second longitudinal ends of the tubular body to prevent air flow therethrough, and an annular adapter. The outer wall has a first hole and a plurality of vent openings formed therethrough. The first hole is configured to receivably engage a first open end of the adapter. A second open end of the adapter is configured to interconnect with a first end of a conduit such that, upon the first hole receivably engaging the first open end of the adapter, the adapter facilitates a flow of air being delivered from the conduit through the outer wall into the hollow chamber via the first hole and out of the hollow chamber through the outer wall via the vent openings.

Abstract: Provided is a puff, which enables the user to apply and spread color cosmetics such as a compact or foundation evenly to the skin so as to be have a sensation of close contact, more specifically, a separable variation puff which is configured such that: various puff members are connectable to or separable from a lower side of a coupling main body having a holding part; an elastic moving body into which an oscillator is inserted is connected to and formed at an inner side of the coupling main body; power of the oscillator is controlled by a battery and a switch; and the battery is easily exchangeable through the lower side of the coupling main body. Thus, the puff is advantageous in that the user can effectively transmit vibration of the oscillator to the puff according to a contact degree of the puff to the user's skin.

Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to create an easily installed accessory that yields a natural look in hair styling versatility and reduces damage to natural hair and scalp. It is made to alter the appearance of a wearer's natural hair, by adding length and/or volume. The unit comprises of a breathable mesh fabric, with multiple layers of wefted hair extension fibers (hair pieces) sewed on to the top surface of it. To the underside of the mesh fabric, are three metal hair clips that help to secure the unit in place. Connected bilaterally to the mesh fabric, is a satin covered elastic hair band that functions in conforming to the wearer's head during installation and use of the unit. When the hair band extension system is used, hair is adorned attractively and the breathability and moisture conserving qualities help to promote healthy hair and scalp.

Abstract: This invention relates to an improved hair styling device, and provides a hair styling device for imparting a wave to a tress of hair. The device comprises a tube (110) having a longitudinal axis, the tube being open at at least one of its longitudinal ends whereby the tress of hair can be introduced into the tube. The tube is longitudinally extendable between a non-extended condition and an extended condition. The inside of the tube has at least one barrier (120) which can engage the tress of hair as the tube moves towards its non-extended condition, the barrier controlling the deformation of the tress of hair and thereby controlling the form of the wave produced in the tress of hair.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a multi-compartment container with a number of separate compartments, each of which is opened by depressing a separate button. The compartments may be used to hold any number of things, including, solids, gels, pastes, cosmetics or any other non liquid substance. In the present disclosure, the compartments may be opened independently or simultaneously. In addition to containing the desired substance, each compartment also comprises a reflective surface or mirror.

Abstract: A process for permanently reshaping keratin fibers is disclosed. The process may comprise a) placing the keratin fibers under mechanical tension by rolling keratin fibers on a tensioning device so as to form curls, b) applying a reducing composition to the keratin fibers, c) individually covering each tensioning device rolled with keratin fibers with a cover comprising at least one heat-insulating material, so as to form at least one closed space above the keratin fibers, d) heating the keratin fibers at a constant temperature, and e) entrapping heat and condensation from the heating of the keratin fibers within the closed space so as to maintain the closed space at a substantially uniform temperature throughout the closed space. The tensioning device and/or the cover may further include at least one heat source as part of the tensioning device and/or the cover.

Abstract: Disclosed is a compact for containing a loose powder, such as cosmetic finishing powder, including a base, a cover, a sifter, and a platform compressible against the sifter. The platform may comprise an inner portion flexibly coupled to an outer portion via a gasket disposed on at least a portion of a bottom surface of the inner portion. The compact may have an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the cover may apply a downward force on the inner portion, compressing the gasket against the sifter and creating a seal to isolate the loose powder.

Abstract: A skincare pad-based application system and method utilizes a container containing individually packaged skincare products contained on disposable pads and arranged in a time-based order of intended use. The physical arrangement of the various products in the container or other packaging material simplifies application and increases the likelihood that products will be applied correctly and for maximum effect.

Abstract: A compact and reusable floss pick having a dispensing supply of dental floss. A floss arm and bridge is provided with two prongs for receiving a length of dental floss removably wrapped around the prongs such that a taut length of dental floss is provided therebetween. A cutting notch is provided for removing an old or used portion of dental floss from the supply. A removable cap is also provided for covering the floss arm when not in use and providing a handle when the device is being used.

Abstract: Cosmetic and/or personal care compacts having a multi-tiered design. The tiers are able to rotate relative to each other between defined configurations of the compact. When in any one of its defined configurations, the compact has the same overall shape, for example, a prism. The rotation feature also allows the visual impact of the compact to be varied while maintaining the overall shape of the compact, and is a novelty for a user.

Abstract: A hair accessory that separates into a plurality of fully functional smaller hair accessories, the smaller accessories for sharing with another or rearranging hair into a different style. The hair accessory is a hair clip having a handle coupled to a clip portion with a spring. The hair clip has a plurality of members that separate into individual hair clips, each member fully functional as a hair clip. When the members connect, the hair accessory performs as a unified device. When the members selectively separate, each member performs separately in a manner indistinguishable from the unified accessory, each member having a smaller capacity for holding hair together but functioning in the same manner. The connectors can be, but not limited to, magnets, bead and socket, tongue and groove, and hook and post. The members align end to end or in an overlapping arrangement.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a cosmetic applicator and in particular, relate to a cosmetic applicator comprising of at least two molded applicator parts that are interlinked such that a non-zero angle is formed at an interface of the at least two molded applicator parts with respect to a centerline of the applicator. The cosmetic applicator of present invention imitates the twirl of the wrist during application and thereby provides a better application. The cosmetic applicator of the present invention may be used for cosmetic and care applications such as mascara application, hair coloring, lip application, etc.
