Abstract: An elastic band removal apparatus includes a cutting element for removing elastic bands from hair. The cutting element may include a grasping element and an adjacent receptacle that are configured to engage a portion of an elastic band, as well as a severing edge configured to apply a localized pressure to the portion of the elastic band to cut or break the elastic band. The elastic band removal apparatus may comprise a comb, with the cutting element being carried by a spine of the comb, at or near an end of the comb. Methods for removing elastic bands from hair may include the use of such an elastic band removal apparatus. A grooming kit may include an elastic band removal apparatus, one or more elastic bands and a package for carrying the elastic band removal apparatus and the one or more elastic bands.

The plurality of interchangeably receivable styling modules each include a styling module gear configured to operatively engage the driver gear and be rotatable thereby to perform at least one styling operation distinguishable from a styling operation performed by at least one other styling module.

Abstract: A flavored toothpick and a method for preparing such, the product exhibiting improved capacity for delivering flavor and additives to the user, among other advantages. The toothpick may be prepared by pretreating the wooden substrate to increase porosity and decrease hardness. The toothpick is then immersed in a solution containing an additive, a masking agent, and a sweeting agent, where the toothpick absorbs the solution. Alternatively, the toothpick may be placed with the solution in a sealed chamber under vacuum pressure to infuse the toothpick with the additive solution and any desired flavoring.

Abstract: The dental flossing device has an elongate handle with a removable and disposable floss holder at its distal end. A slide is installed along the handle, with the slide reciprocating axially along the handle when manipulated by a user of the device. The slide operates a flexible cable that in turn reciprocates the floss holder orthogonally relative to the elongate axis of the handle. Upper and lower bite pads are installed upon the distal end of the handle, with the user of the device gripping the pads, and thus the distal end of the device, between the teeth. The floss extending across the floss holder is then reciprocated between adjacent teeth by operating the slide on the handle. The device can also include a timer and alarm to notify the user of the appropriate time to be spent flossing, and to remind the user to floss daily.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a wiper which can be easily inserted into neck of a cosmetic container. The wiper is fabricated from elastomeric material and comprises a plurality of collapsible members configured to collapse horizontally on an exterior surface of the wiper when under stress. The plurality of collapsible members also serves as locking features by which it can be retained in the container neck. The wiper of the present invention can be particularly advantageous for use in the field of cosmetics, especially fluid cosmetic products.

The left and right base corners comprise hair protection flaps that extend from either side of a rectangular hair retention channel roll. A top hair retention flap extends from the top thereof to form the top corner. A cylindrical style bar is attached near the top of the triangular body. Once a user places her hair on the channel roll, the hair protection flaps are folded in over the hair, thereby containing, retaining, and protecting the hair. The ends of the user's hair are wrapped around the style bar and the top hair retention roll is wrapped over the bar and the hair and bar are rolled approximately to the user's scalp. First and second wrap ties attach near the top of the triangular body and are used to secure the apparatus to the user's head.
