Abstract: A floating dispenser for floatingly delivering a dispersant or dispersants to a body of water with the floating dispenser floating in an upright condition when a dispersant is present in a dispenser cartridge of the floating dispenser with the dispenser self inverting 180 degrees in response to consumption of the dispersant in the dispenser cartridge to thereby provide a visual alert that one should replace the dispenser cartridge in the dispenser with a fresh dispenser cartridge.

Abstract: The present invention provides a device for displaying hazard indicia, having a stanchion defining a first end and a second end, whereby the first end defines a first cross section that is smaller than a second cross section of the second end; a base adapted to removably receive the second end of the stanchion so as to maintain the stanchion in a vertical position; and a means for allowing the device to be collinearly stacked on top of a second device such that only the second end of the device and the second end of the second device contact.

Abstract: A protective clothing system for protecting a user from high velocity particles and lacerating objects. The protective clothing system generally includes a clothing item having a front portion and a rear portion. The front portion of the clothing item is constructed of three to fifteen sheets of protective material to protect the front portion of the body of the user from high velocity particles and lacerating objects. The rear portion of the clothing item may have no protective material or significantly less sheets of protective material compared to the front portion to help reduce the weight of the clothing item. The joints of the clothing item corresponding to the human joints are relatively free moving to provide increased mobility to the user.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing a disposable absorbent article is disclosed. The method includes providing a first nonwoven layer with bi-component fibers and having a first surface and an opposing second surface; color printing the first nonwoven layer on at least one of the first or second surface; providing a second nonwoven layer with bi-component fibers and a first and an opposing second surface; joining the first and the second nonwoven layers together to form a laminate structure, wherein the color printing faces the second nonwoven layer; providing a topsheet, an absorbent core, and a backsheet; and placing the laminate between a topsheet and an absorbent core such that the color printing is visible through the topsheet.

Abstract: A recording apparatus comprises a plurality of supporting materials, a plurality of labels, and an unpacking recordation form. The supporting materials supports and fixes components of a specific device. The amount of the labels is at least the amount of the supporting materials plus two, wherein the labels comprises a starting-label and an ending-label pasted on the unpacking recordation form. The unpacking recordation form comprises several recording columns between the starting-label and the ending-label, wherein the amount of the recording columns is corresponding to that of the supporting materials. When unpacking the supporting materials from the device, the labels is removed from the supporting materials to paste to the recording columns. Therefore, user can determine if all supporting materials in the device are unpacked completely by checking if all of the recording columns are pasted by the labels.

Abstract: An adhesive compositions which shows a first color change when the ambient temperature is increased to a temperature of ?T1 and a second color change when the ambient temperature is lowered to a temperature of ?T2, wherein T1>T2. Such adhesive compositions have advantageous properties, in particular at security applications.

Abstract: A ball mount for measuring tongue weight of a trailer is disclosed. The ball mount can include a ball portion having a hitch ball configured to couple with a tongue of a trailer. The ball mount can also include a hitch portion for interfacing with a hitch receiver associated with a vehicle. In addition, the ball mount can include a load measurement device associated with the ball portion to determine a magnitude of a downward force on the hitch ball. The load measurement device can include a reservoir having a fluid and a piston disposed therein, and a pressure sensor in fluid communication with the reservoir. The hitch ball can be configured to exert a force on the piston, thereby affecting a pressure of the fluid in response to the downward force on the hitch ball.

The methods involve rotating a Rotational Clip (“RC”) of ST (132) towards a Housing Base (“HB”) of ST until RC (406) contacts a latch (610) disposed within HB (404), where an article resides between a first pad (602) fixedly coupled to RC and a second pad (604) movably coupled to HB. An angled surface (626) of RC slides against an angled surface (624) of the latch so as to cause compression of a cap spring (614) and a latch spring (612). The cap spring is disposed in HB such that a center axis (818) thereof is perpendicular to a center axis (816) of the latch spring. When the latch becomes aligned with an aperture (628) formed in the rotational clip, the latch travels into the aperture as result from a pushing force applied thereto by the latch spring.

At least the surfaces of the cutting edge and the internal surface of the blade body, which do not include the coating, have a steam tempered oxide finish that imparts a color that contrasts with the color imparted by the coating.

Abstract: A golf swing training apparatus to be used exclusively in the short game of golf to provide a first audible clicking sound when the golfer cocks his wrists and a second audible clicking sound when the golfer releases the club head. The sensor indicates elapsed time in response to a threshold level of the chemical being present within the timer chamber. The timer chamber, timer chemical adsorption/desorption characteristics of the timer chamber conditioning material, and the sensor are configured so that an amount of the timer chemical within the timer chamber reaches the threshold level within a predetermined time after initialization of the timer element.

Abstract: The present invention provides a container including a system for personal identification. A series of bands are mounted between ridges formed circumferentially around the container. The bands have symbols printed in a color similar to the container. The bands can be rotated around the container to position selected symbols over a patch printed on the container in a contrasting color to make the selected symbol visible.

In one embodiment the vehicle includes a drivable chassis having a standardized bed with mounting surfaces and a suite of interface connections for utility coupling. A mission module is adapted to attach to the bed mounting surfaces and couple with the suite of interface connections, wherein the mission module is configured in one of several mission specific forms.

Abstract: Fire hydrants each have a band of lamps strapped around them, the lamps powered by a solar collector battery circuit. An RF signal is transmitted to a receiver in the circuit by a remote responder causing the lamps to light up with a coded color related to the water flow rating of each of the hydrants and with a blink rate related to the water pressure of each of the hydrants. Upon arriving at the fire scene responders are able to select an appropriate hydrant for the location and size of the fire. The circuit is able to transmit flow and pressure information to the responders which information is presented on a display screen for early reconnaissance of the water resources at the fire scene.

Abstract: A multi-purpose reflective collar for attachment to a fire hydrant that increases the visibility of the hydrant to motorists and others, and that indicates the hydrant's flow rate, water source and pressure rating to firefighters and other first responders through the use of color coded reflective tape webs that can be removably attached to the collar. The multi-purpose reflective collar of the present invention is adjustable to accommodate fire hydrants of different shapes and sizes, and is useful in increasing safety and the efficiency of firefighting procedures.

Abstract: The patent application is directed to a moisture indicator that reversibly changes between two different colors depending on whether the moisture indicator is in a wet state or in a dry state. The moisture indicator is used to provide visual information about dryness/wetness of a substrate such as plant soil. The moisture indicator comprises a porous body member having a moisture indicating color and a moisture indicating material over the moisture indicating color. Water passed through the porous material activates the moisture indicating material from a dry opaque state to a transparent clear state. The system can include a tactile vest having tactile activators for conveying tactile messages to the user, including real time messages for helping the user assess and improve physical performance. The messages may be generated based on various types of sensor data, including, for example, data collected by vehicle sensors of a racecar or yacht.

Abstract: A safety pin system for a product is provided and includes a safety pin disposable in a receiving element to disable the product, an obstruction disposable in a blocking position of a product disability indicator and a streamer configured to pass through an opening associated with the product and attached at opposite ends thereof to the safety pin and the obstruction. The opening and the obstruction are sized such that, when the obstruction is disposed in the blocking position with the streamer passed through the opening and the safety pin disposed in the receiving element, the obstruction is irremovable from the blocking position until the safety pin is removed from the receiving element.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for devices for detection of a biofilm by a color change in a moisture-indicating substance, such as a chemical or a dye. The moisture indicating material may be supported by a substrate and sealed to keep moisture from the moisture indicating material. Alternatively, the moisture indicating material may be supported in a pouch and sealed by the pouch. The color change results from an ingress of moisture accompanying growth of a biofilm. The moisture-indicating substance may be used with indwelling or other devices to detect a biofilm. When the biofilm has sufficiently degraded the seal, an ingress of moisture and its accompanying pH may cause a color change in the moisture-indicating substance to signify the presence of the biofilm. Methods of manufacture and use of the disclosed devices are also described.

Abstract: A golf bag accessory, for indicating the removal of a golf club from a golf bag, has a base member consisting of supporting ring elements. An indicator member with an open top is made of two layers of low friction material surrounding a rubber boot element. The two material layers and the boot element are connected between the ring members. The indicator member extends down from the base member to circumscribe a golf club positioned within the golf bag. Upon removal of the golf club from the golf bag, the indicator member is drawn upwards, ultimately extending up from the base member and out of the golf bag to provide notice to the golfer that a club has been removed and needs to be replaced.

Abstract: The touch-operating input device is configured so that when the control circuit turns on the main light source corresponding to each of the translucent operation buttons that can be operated, the control circuit, on condition that the translucent operation button corresponding to the main light source that is turned on is operated, turns off the sub-light source corresponding to the translucent operation button that is turned on simultaneously with the main light source. Abstract: A water-ingress label using a double coating capsule structure includes a water absorbent layer which is formed from any one of paper, synthetic paper, non-woven fabric, synthetic non-woven fabric, Korean paper or an absorbent coating for absorbing water; an ink layer which is formed on the back surface of the water absorbent layer as an ink having a double coating capsule structure including a colourant selected from any one or a plurality of water-soluble dyes, pigments, metallic silica, metallic oxides and mica together with a hydrophilic/water-absorbing halogen-free resin; and an ink barrier layer having a damp-proofing and water-proofing function, which is formed on the back surface of the ink layer and prevents leaking, into the back surface of the ink layer, of the colourant selected from any one or more of water-soluble dyes, pigments, metallic silica, metallic oxides and mica.

Abstract: A visual indicator used to indicate a disposition of an end of a tape comprises a colored layer, and one or more layers of elongate polymer elements, or one or more polarizing layers, or one or more dichroic filter layers. When the tape is stretched as a piece is torn or cut away, an orientation of the polymer elements, or a polarization configuration, or a thickness of the dichroic layers is changed, changing a color, opacity, or reflectance visually evident at the end of the tape. In other embodiments, the visual indicator comprises one or more visible lines that run diagonally across the width of the tape, either in successive sections or along the entire length, so that a discontinuity between the line at the end and at an adjacent point on the remainder of the tape indicates the disposition of the end and an approximate amount of tape remaining.

Abstract: Pressure indicator pressure sensitive adhesive may contain microspheres that burst and release indicator when subjected to pressure and thereby produce a detectable indication of how much pressure has been applied when forming an adhesive joint between opposing structures. Electronic device structures can be assembled using the pressure indicator pressure sensitive adhesive. A camera or other sensor may monitor joint formation. The camera can gather infrared image data, visible light image data, or ultraviolet light image data. Sensor data such as magnetic or ultrasonic sensor data can also be collected on an adhesive joint. Joint inspection can be performed on test structures and production structures and corresponding adjustments made to the joint formation process. Positioners and other equipment that compresses the pressure indicator pressure sensitive adhesive can be adjusted in real time or calibrated using information about the condition of the pressure indicator pressure sensitive adhesive.

The wick comprises a primary wick portion attached or attachable to the analyte test section so as to be in fluid communication therewith. The assay wick further comprises an indicator portion having a contrasting visual characteristic. The indicator surface is covered by at least a portion of the primary wick portion, which comprises a wicking material that becomes more light transmissive when wetted by the analyte fluid. The contrasting visual characteristic is viewable through the at least a portion of the primary wick portion only when the at least a portion of the primary wick portion is suffused by the analyte fluid.

Abstract: This invention relates generally to earthquake detectors, and specifically to the use of a plurality of vertically and/or horizontally fixed-position acoustic elements, such as tubular bells or chimes radially disposed in spaced-apart relationship around their own striker pendulum to emit sounds audible to a human in the event of an earthquake. In one embodiment of the present invention there is disclosed a combination vertically- and horizontally-oriented earthquake detection system comprising: a frame structure, one or more vertical acoustic units, and one or more horizontal acoustic units. The acoustic units employ a plurality of acoustic elements radially disposed (either in horizontally or vertically) about a pendulum striker device. Other embodiments include a vertically-oriented earthquake detection system employing only vertical acoustic units, and a horizontally-oriented system employing only horizontal acoustic units.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a humidity indicator and a method for fabricating the same. The humidity indicator includes a substrate, and a composite disposed on a predetermined region of the substrate. The composite includes a hydrophilic polymer and a Ni-containing compound. The humidity indicators of the disclosure are reusable, halide-free, and cobalt-free, meeting the requirement of environmental friendliness.

Abstract: An integral weighing device for determining whether the weight of a luggage container and its contents exceed a maximum allowable amount simply by suspending the container by its handle. If the container weighs more than a set amount the integral weighing device provides a visual cue that the container exceeds the predefined weight. The integral weighing device comprises a torsion spring mounted within a housing, and a cord attached to each end of the torsion spring and fed via a guide-way through and out of the housing to an externally accessible grip handle. An indicator arm is rotationally mounted to the housing. When a person lifts the luggage by the grip handle the force is transferred to the torsion spring causing angular deflection toward the indicator arm. If the container exceeds the set weight the indicator arm provides a visual cue that the bag exceeds the predetermined weight.

Abstract: There is provided a marker system for applying to surfaces operating at high temperatures, the marker system comprising a marker and a temperature resilient medium capable of securing the marker system onto a high temperature surface; wherein the medium contains an inorganic matrix to secure the marker to a surface; wherein the marker comprises a fingerprint to render the marker unique; and wherein the marker system further comprises indicator material to indicate the presence of the marker. Further provided is a composition comprising the marker system. Further provided are engines, exhaust systems and/or catalytic converters or other surfaces operating at high temperatures comprising a surface impregnated with the marker system.

Abstract: In a system for imparting visually identifiable distinctions between individual drinking vessels, an identification helix is used to impermanently attach to an elongate element of at least one of the drinking vessels. At least two identification helices are provided for engaging an elongate element of a drinking vessel such as a stem or handle. The system of identification helices comprises a first helical member of resilient flexible material having a pair of ends and adapted to engage the elongate element by wrapping the elongate element with a generally encircling geometry. A second helical member of resilient flexible material has, as well, a pair of ends and adapted to engage the elongate element by wrapping the elongate element with a generally encircling geometry. The second helical member is visually distinct from the first differing in one of a group of qualities consisting of handedness, color, color combinations, and attached charms.
