Abstract: A reclosable bulk display package includes a housing having a back retaining surface with an opening, a peripheral wall connected thereto extending generally outward therefrom and terminating in a forward edge to form an inner cavity for accepting an article, and a flange extending from the wall and having an opening. A cover portion is provided having a front retaining surface having an opening, a peripheral wall edge connected thereto and extending generally laterally from the front retaining surface to form an inner cavity for accepting the forward edge of the housing wall therein in a snap fit manner. A flange extends from the wall edge which serves a dual purpose as a tab to aid cover removal as well as a foot to form a part of a stand for shelf display to maintain the package in a position whereby the retaining surfaces are maintained generally normal and upright.

Abstract: A product dispensing system and a method of queuing usage of products. A plurality of layers of products, each having multiple items in separate packages, each layer having a carrier with the separate packages being secured to and extending from the carrier. The layers are assembled in a stacked orientation behind a front layer with layers behind the front layer being at least partially concealed and inaccessible. Products are used one layer at a time, and when the separate packages from the front layer are removed, the packages of the next-succeeding layer are exposed for use.

Abstract: A cardboard cover that seals a package and that also enables the resealing of the package. The lower surface of the cover (2) is provided with a downwards directed annular profile (3) made of an injection mouldable material, which enables the resealing of the cover and is placed inside the package when the package is sealed. The invention also relates to a package which is sealed by using the above-described cardboard cover that enables resealing. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a card-board cover and a method for sealing a package.

Abstract: A flat blade windshield wiper blade (12) has a naturally elongated curve with a delicate wiper element (16) to be protected during shipping and display for retail sales purposes. A protective package (12) surrounds the wiper (12). The package (12) is made from a single piece of sheet stock and includes a flexible, outwardly bowed front panel (24), a back panel (26), and opposing left (30) and right (28) side panels adjoining respective sides of the front (24) and back (26) panels. Top (32) and bottom (34) end flaps extend between the front (24) and back (26) panels for forcing the front (24) panel to form in a generally semi-cylindrical configuration bowed outwardly relative to the back panel (26). The wiper (12) is disposed in a shipping condition in the package (12), with a connector (22) feature of the wiper (12) bearing in direct pressing contact with the bowed front panel (24).

Abstract: A drug card having a tamper proof serrated pull tab on the back. The pull tab is partially removed from the back of the drug card to provide access to a plurality of individually sealed doses of medicine. A single dose of medicine is removed from the plurality of individually sealed doses of medicine, after which the remaining individually sealed doses of medicine are placed back in the card and the card resealed. The integrity of the drug card is thereby maintained while presenting a brand name of the product to the consumer at all times.

Abstract: A blister pack for packaging a product is disclosed. The blister pack has a backing structure including a main section and a wing section joined to the main section and disposed at an angle with respect to the main section. The main section includes two stacked backing sheets adhered together, at lease one backing sheet defining at lest one cutout area. The product is housed in a container, which includes a chamber section where the product is housed and a flat insertion portion. The insertion portion is held between the two backing sheets of the main section and the chamber portion protrudes from the cutout area. The blister pack can be made by folding a continuous sheet of backing material.

The present invention includes a security package system for a product to be placed on a hanging display, the package comprising: (a) a product package of a relatively thin plastic material and having a top portion which has a front and rear, the top portion having an aperture adapted to receive a hang support; (b) a locking member of a relatively thick plastic material and having a front and rear portion so as to removeably fit over the top portion of the product package and having apertures in the front and rear portions that are positioned so as to align with the aperture of the top portion when in position over the top portion.

Abstract: A flexible container incorporating flexible front and rear sheets and one or more container ports disposed in between the sheets are discussed. The one or more container ports each has a pliable attachment flange and an integrally molded nozzle. The pliable attachment flange has a first configuration whereby the attachment flange collapses to enable heat sealing the attachment flange to the sheets and thereafter substantially recovers its shape to provide a fluid pathway with the port. Various terminal ports, terminal caps, and rubber septums may be useable with the one or more container ports.

A repeating score line pattern is formed in the outer laminate for promoting a tear in the laminate upon forcing the product from the receptacle hollow against the outer laminate. The score pattern extends substantially across the area of the outer laminate covering the receptacle hollow and includes a plurality of spaced score lines formed in a crosswise relationship.

Abstract: A flexible, uniform mail package for use with automated mailing procedures and a method of distributing advertising and promotional items. A mail package includes a plastic tray with at least one well for containing and securing an article, such as a pen or a key tag, within the mail package. The mail package meets current and proposed USPS uniformity and flexibility standards for automated handling of the mail packages, and is capable of being processed, without issue, using automatic equipment thereby reducing postage costs compared to non-flat machinable mail pieces.

The top panel may further provide a perforated cut-out that provides an opening in the top panel to permit the dispensing of articles within the container. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing a packaging blank capable of forming a container having indicia and compliance features.

Abstract: A blister pack and package including such blister pack is described which provides for package stability and self-indexing in relation to adjacently aligned packages. The blister pack is configured to include at least one compartment for enclosing an article, and an outward projecting portion or foot in the bottom portion of the blister pack. The foot is configured to have a width, depth and height sufficient to allow the package to be freestanding and self-indexing. The package is especially suited for use in a merchandise point-of-sale display including a pressure applicator for maintaining displayed packages in a forwardmost position in the display when one or more packages are removed from the display. The foot provides for a predetermined stable spacing during packaging and while in storage and on display, and provides for self-indexing, i.e. maintenance of proper spacing, when a pressure applicator moves the aligned packages forward in a display.

Abstract: A themolaminating film for receiving a blister portion in the construction of a reusable package is described. A base blister portion configured to receive some form of media or material is molded from a formable heat sealable polymer such as PETG. A film consisting of a first layer of an amorphous polyester such as APET for heat sealing to the PETG, a second layer of a polyester such as PET, and an adhesive layer is used to laminate a graphical paper based cover thereby allowing the laminated cover to be heat sealed to the blister portion. In a preferred embodiment, the PET and APET are preferably coextruded.

Abstract: A suspension device which prevents a suspended tool from burglary is disclosed. The suspension device comprises a suspension plate, and a clipping seat, connected to the bottom of the suspension plate, for clipping a tool, characterized in that the clipping seat has a hollow interior which is mounted with a rim mount directly encloses the external rim of the suspended tool such that the clipping tool can be locked and secured.

Abstract: A blister pack includes a blister card having one or more cavities and a rib formed in the blister card, the rib having an inner surface, and a tether coupled to the inner surface of the rib. Ultrasonically welding the tether within the inner surface of the structural rib provides for an increased bond surface area and increased strength of the couple without sacrificing valuable surface area on the blister pack.

Abstract: A blister card carrier and methods of inserting and removing a blister card from the blister card carrier are disclosed. The blister card carrier is designed to hold a blister card in a substantially planar state. The blister card carrier may include a bottom section having a plurality of bottom rails, and a top section having a plurality of top rails. The bottom section and the top section may from one or more slots configured to receive a blister card. Each slot may be substantially perpendicular to the bottom section and the top section. Each bottom rail may be configured to contact a bottom surface of a received blister card. Each top rail may be configured to contact a top surface of a received blister card. The blister card carrier may be configured to position a received blister card in substantially the same plane as the bottom and top section.

Abstract: In a packing member that packs an ink cartridge, the packing member is constituted as an adhesive label, a perforation is provided on a portion of the label, an ink cartridge is packed by adhering the label on the cartridge, and the ink cartridge is unpacked by peeling off a central portion of the label along the perforation. A back sheet (release coated paper) of the label is adhered on the ink cartridge in a state in which a portion of the back sheet is left. Thus, unpacking (peeling-off of the label) is facilitated, and adhesive is prevented from remaining.

Abstract: A thermoformed blister adapted for use with a card member for displaying articles having a protrusion. The blister locates the card member on the blister for heat sealing using the protrusion. The protrusion provides stability and nestability between thermoformed blisters. The principle use is for point of sale displays, however other applications will benefit from this invention. For example, shipment of merchandise and storage applications will benefit from this application.

The top sheet is attached to the peripheral flange. The fastener has two interlocking members, one attached to the peripheral flange and the other attached to the top sheet. A tamper-evident feature located on the package prevents access to the fastener and is connected thereto by one or two lines of weaknesses. In one embodiment with one or two lines of weakness in the top sheet, the fastener remains adjacent to the tray's peripheral flange, which is intact after the tamper-evident feature is removed by tearing along these lines of weakness. In a second embodiment with two lines of weakness, the tamper-evident feature, comprised of portions of the peripheral flange and the top sheet, is torn from the package along both lines of weakness.

Abstract: A hanging device for a ratchet wrench includes a base, and an anti-theft mechanism mounted on the base. The anti-theft mechanism includes a first member having a receiving space, a protruding limit post, a plurality of snapping hooks and a first toothed portion, and a second member having a seat portion, a second toothed portion, a catch flange and a mounting stud. Thus, the ratchet wrench is locked by and cannot be detached from the anti-theft mechanism of the hanging device so as to provide an anti-theft function.
