Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of forming a container comprising forming a basket portion of metal mesh material and a rail connected to the basket portion. The rail extends substantially outwardly from the outer surface of the basket portion and the rail extends continuously around the outer surface of the basket portion. In one example, the method includes forming the rail so that it does not contain or surround a free edge of the basket portion. In another example, the method includes forming the rail so that it includes an opening for containing or surrounding a free edge of the basket portion. The method may also include forming a lower rail. The present invention is also directed to a container formed by such method.

Abstract: A collecting cage has a front end to which at least one door is pivoted with the aid of a pivoting device. The cage also has at least three lateral walls. The pivoting device is adapted to pivot the door to an opened position and to a closed position thus covering at least part of it. The pivoting device is adapted to guide the door in an opened position to a direction parallel to a lateral wall and at a clearance therefrom for flanking the cage. The pivoting device includes at least two angle members connected to the door at a distance from each other and having a first portion protruding from the door and having a second portion in an angled position relative to the first portion, and at least two corresponding rails connected to a lateral wall.

Abstract: A vapor chamber includes a first board, a second board sealed with the first board, and a cavity formed between the first and second boards, and the cavity contains a first support arm and a second support arm corresponding to the first and second boards respectively, and the first support arm and the second support arm are engaged with each other along the first and second boards and arranged adjacent to each other. With the engagement of the first and second support arms, the first and second boards of the vapor chamber can be supported and pulled to achieve effect of preventing the first and second boards from being recessed or protruded.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a custom sized plastic tote lighter in weight than heretofore known custom sized plastic totes is provided. The method comprises separating an injection molded tote into upper and lower portions by cutting the injection molded tote. A sleeve or middle portion of plastic material is secured to the upper and lower portions of the injection molded tote to create a custom sized plastic tote of a desired height. Alternatively, portions of different injection molded totes may be used to create a custom sized plastic tote. The sleeve may be made from different materials and may be made of multiple pieces.

Abstract: A pre-fabricated spring box, preferably of stainless steel, has a stepped top, with a closed top back portion, and an open top front portion, which front portion is covered and sealed by a snug hinged lid. The box is preferably constructed of medium gauge brushed stainless steel. The bottom of the box has an opening that is slightly smaller than the bottom. There is an identically sized opening in the back of the box near the bottom. A stainless steel panel of the size required to cover one of these openings is provided. The front of the box has three threaded couplers welded in place for a bottom drain line, an outlet supply line and an overflow line.

Abstract: The collapsible storage basket contains two rigid longitudinal plates, two flexible lateral plates, a flexible first base plate connecting the lateral and longitudinal plates' bottom rims, and a rigid second base plate stitched or adhered to a top side of the first base plate along a middle section of each of the second base plate's lateral edges. The top rims of the longitudinal and lateral plates wrap the edges of a rectangular frame. To use the storage basket, the frame is pulled upward to raise the longitudinal and lateral plates whose bottom rims are pressed against the second base plate, thereby forming a storage room for various objects. When the storage basket is not in use, by the flexibility of the two lateral plates, the longitudinal plates are folded inward and the storage basket turns into a flat shape for easy storage and transportation.

Abstract: A pre-manufactured fiberglass reinforced plastic (“FRP”) tank may be fitted with one or more conical internal diffuser plates (also termed nozzle plate, filtration plate, or chamber separator plate). To insert the diffuser plate into the FRP tank, a plastic liner is cut perpendicular to the axis of the tank and along the tank sidewall so as to allow complete access to the inside of the tank. The cut results in two opposing and substantially equal surfaces that mate with weld grooves on the diffuser plate. The first opposing face is welded to the mating weld groove on one side of the diffuser plate while the other opposing face is welded to the mating weld groove on the other side of the diffuser plate. The weld creates a hermetic seal between the interior of the tank and the exterior along both welds. The FRP tank may be cut a second time, or more times, to install additional diffuser plates as required.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a functional-container forming method and a molding die which can produce a functional container at a low cost and a high throughput without using a bond, and, a functional container produced by utilizing those. Abstract: The invention relates to a container (1) for a fluid for metering a reagent into a microfluidic system. The container comprises a chamber (4) and a first film (3) which seals off the chamber (4) so that the fluid is encapsulated in the chamber. Advantageously, the first film (3) is an aluminium sealing film. A second film (7) is sealingly arranged on the first film, for example by adhesive bonding of the film layers. The films differ in their tear strength such that when pressure is applied simultaneously to both films the first film tears while the second film deforms elastically and/or plastically. By tearing the first film a connection is produced between the container chamber and an inlet channel so that a fluid contained in the chamber flows into the microfluidic system.

Abstract: A dispenser for relative rapid cooling or heating of the contents of a liquid storage container provides a receptacle for receiving the liquid storage container therein and positioning a thermal transfer portion of the liquid storage container in thermal conductive relationship with a thermal conduction pad associated with the receptacle. Thermal energy is effectively and efficiently transferred from the thermal conduction pad to the liquid in the liquid storage container. The thermal conduction pad is controlled to provide and maintain the desired temperature to the liquid. The liquid is dispensed directly from the container. Various types of containers can be used in the dispenser, with a special bag-in-box container having a inner container and outer box with thermal conduction windows in the box to provide good heat transfer between the thermal conduction pads and the inner container constituting an aspect of the invention. A special rigid container can also be used.

The internal space continues to be closed to the outside in the region by the outer wall. The fluid-collecting container has a first and a second housing part which together form the internal space in the fluid-collecting container. The outer wall is formed integrally with a wall of the first housing part, the wall surrounding the outer wall.

Abstract: The present invention is a combined apparatus for storage for storing compressible articles. The combined apparatus including a combination of an expandable, air-tight storage bag and a soft-sided container for storing the storage bag therein. The soft-sided container having four side walls, a top portion, and a bottom portion defining a compact and low profile when in a collapsed state. A base support member is attached to the bottom portion of the container. At least one securing member is attached to the bottom portion of the container. In operation, as air within the storage bag is evacuated from the storage bag through the means for facilitating removal or entry of air from an interior of said storage bag, the storage bag and the compressible articles stored therein collapse into the soft-sided container.

Because the apparatus includes both the case and container, the apparatus avoids the problem of having contact lenses on-hand when traveling but not having contact lens solution. The contact lens case easily snaps into and out of the side of the contact lens solution container requiring minimal manual dexterity. The solution container, having a solution capacity of no more than three ounces, complies with air travel carry-on requirements, allowing the user to conveniently travel with apparatus whether by commercial air travel or by other modes of travel.

Another biodegradable resin composition includes, in percent by weight: 1 to 70% starch; 1 to 8% cellulose; 1 to 12% hydroxyl-polypropylene; and 1 to 5% calcium carbonate. Another biodegradable resin composition includes, in percent by weight: 1 to 30% starch; 1 to 40% poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate); 1 to 20% poly(lactic acid); and 1 to 5% hydrated magnesium silicate.

The door is hung by hinges, which are associated with uninterrupted rails on the top of the crate. Then, the door can be slid into the enclosure along the uninterrupted guides. The door may also include locks that can secure the door in the closed position. Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a large vacuum chamber body that has been welded together. The chamber body may have a high emissivity coating on at least one surface therein. Due to the large size of the chamber body, the chamber body may be formed by welding several pieces together rather than forging the body from a single piece of metal. The pieces may be welded together at a location spaced from the corner of the body, which may be under the greatest stress during evacuation, to ensure that the weld, which may be the weakest point in the body, does not fail. At least one surface of the chamber body may be coated with a high emissivity coating to aid in heat transfer from incoming, heated substrates. The high emissivity coating may increase substrate throughput by lowering the time that may be needed to reduce the substrate temperature.
