  • Patent number: 7552878
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotor nozzle, in particular for high pressure cleaning devices, having a nozzle housing which has a swirl chamber between an inflow opening for a fluid, in particular water, and a discharge opening, with a rotor inclined with respect to a longitudinal axis during operation being supported at its front end at a bearing, in particular at a cup-shaped bearing, in said swirl chamber and with the rotor being able to be driven to make a rotating movement around the longitudinal axis by fluid flowing into the swirl chamber, wherein an adjustment device is positioned in front of the swirl chamber for the speed regulation of the rotor and forces the inflowing fluid to make a rotary movement around the longitudinal axis for the generation of a rotating fluid field before the transition into the swirl chamber, and wherein the rotating fluid field is disrupted more or less pronouncedly on the transition into the swirl chamber in dependence on the position of the adjustment device.

The method includes the steps of: placing the surface of the absorbent article in the proximity of a spraying apparatus having a spray head with an orifice; pushing the lotion through the spray head orifice; and propelling the lotion to the surface as a continuous fiberised string. The invention also pertains to an absorbent article having a surface with an application of lotion.

Abstract: A method of spray forming articles with a nozzle that sprays in a flat fan-shaped spray pattern. The process may be used to form articles from a polyurethane composition. Repeated passes of the nozzle that partially overlap apply a deposit in a series of parallel paths. A primary flat fan-shaped spray is flanked by a pair of secondary sprays that are outboard of the primary spray. The secondary sprays facilitate feathering the edges of adjacent deposits and provide a spray application having a consistent thickness.

Abstract: A rotating stream sprinkler of the type having a rotatable deflector with spiral vanes engaged by one or more water jets for imparting a rotary drive torque to the deflector, which converts the jets into a plurality of relatively small outwardly projected water streams swept over the surrounding terrain to irrigate adjacent vegetation. The sprinkler includes a speed governor having a turbine driven orbiter with first and second gears meshed respectively with a stator gear and a driven gear having different numbers of gear teeth, wherein the driven gear is carried by the deflector for rotation therewith. The turbine rotatably drives the orbiter on an eccentric axis, to react against the stator gear and thereby rotatably drive the driven gear and deflector with a substantial speed reduction. The speed governor thus regulates deflector speed for slowly sweeping the projected water streams over the adjacent landscape.

Abstract: A rotary sprinkler (10) including a water inlet, a water outlet arranged for rotation about a rotation axis (14), a water director associated with the water outlet and a watering pattern determiner associated with at least one of the water outlets and the water director. The sprinkler (10) operates to cause the sprinkler (10) to have a substantially non-repeated watering pattern extending over more than 360 degrees about the rotation axis. The watering pattern is asymmetric with respect to the rotation axis (14) and is rotated for each successive rotation of the water outlet about the rotation axis (14) with respect to the watering pattern of the preceding rotation by a predetermined amount, whereby the successive rotations increase the angular uniformity of watering about the rotation axis.

In one embodiment the flexible third section includes a plurality of rings or hoops to increase hoop strength. A shield liner and air wash features are used to reduce the amount of dispensed material that collects on and in the gun. The dispensing tube is arranged to prevent pivoting movement at a primary pressure seal.
