Abstract: A valve device has a valve space (14) formed in a housing (12a, 12b), a valve drive (16) sealed against the valve space (14) by means of a sealing body (26) made of an elastic material, a two-armed actuating lever (32) which extends through the sealing body and whose first arm (34) is connected to the valve drive (16), and a closing body (28) molded on the sealing body (26), which forms a jacket of the second arm (30) of the actuating lever (32). The closing body (28) can cover or clear a valve seat (24) disposed in a valve space (14) by a swivel movement of the actuating lever (32), wherein the actuating lever (32) includes a spatially fixed bearing axis.

Abstract: A butterfly valve includes a main body and a valve plate. The main body is provided with a valve port and a handle fixed with a shaft for connecting a handle with the valve plate that is received in the valve port of the main body. Before the valve plate is shaped, a sealing ring is deposited in the shaping cavity of a valve plate shaping mold, and after the valve plate is shaped, the sealing ring will be secured at the periphery of the valve face for achieving sealing effect and preventing liquid from leaking when the valve plate is closed. Further, the valve face has one side bored with a shaft hole at a location eccentric to the center of the valve face. Thus, when the handle is operated, the valve plate can be turned to open or close smoothly.

  • Publication number: 20090261284
Abstract: The present invention provides a valve that controls a flow of gas or solid objects through a pipe, and particularly a z-valve used in an elevated rail transportation system. The valve includes vanes hinged to a valve stem that fold into a z-shape and retract into the valve body when the valve is open. A valve cap positioned at the top of the valve stem matches the contour of the inner surface of the pipe, allowing unobstructed flow. When the valve is closed, the valve stem is elevated into the interior of the pipe and the valve cap rotates 90° to match the contour at the top, providing a seal. The vanes extend from the z-shape to completely block a cross-section of the pipe, stopping the flow. The flow may be modulated by varying the extension of the vanes to allow a portion of the flow to pass the valve.

  • Publication number: 20090256096
Abstract: The fitting housing contains a control cartridge, of which the control shank can be pivoted about the pivot axis. The actuating lever can be displaced relative to the control shank, is mounted on the latter and can be pivoted via its own lever axis, this lever axis being guided in the guide track. When the actuating lever is pivoted up and down, it executes a displacement movement relative to the control shank, and this prevents contact between the actuating lever and the fitting housing.

Abstract: A metering faucet includes a housing and a faucet metering cartridge positioned within the housing and having an outwardly extending faucet stem which is movable along a stem axis. There is a cartridge cap which is positioned within the housing and has a portion extending over and in contact with the cartridge stem to provide an inward force thereon. A handle is pivotally mounted to the housing on one side of the stem axis, with the handle having a portion which extends through a housing opening to contact the cartridge cap. Upon pivotal movement of the handle, an inward force is applied on the cartridge stem. The handle has a force applying area which extends a substantial distance from the pivotal mounting of the handle and terminates at the diametrical opposite side of the pivotal mounting of the handle.

Abstract: A manual control mechanism for a lift unit having a lift arm and a hydraulic cylinder for lifting the lift arm up and down. The mechanism includes a control valve configured as a three-position switchover valve for selectively providing lowering, neutral and elevating conditions according to a spool position for controlling movement of the hydraulic cylinder, a lift lever for manually operating the control valve and an operational path for guiding operational displacement of the lift lever. The operational path includes an inching operational path for operating the hydraulic cylinder at a creeping speed by slightly opening a port of the control valve and a main operational path for operating the control valve over an entire stroke range thereof. An operational feel when the lift lever is operationally displaced along the inching operational path is different from an operational feel when the lift lever is operationally displaced along the main operational path.

Abstract: A faucet comprises a valve body having a bore, an inlet port and an outlet port. A plunger is disposed in the valve body and is reciprocated in the bore. The inlet port opens into a fluid passage adapted for connection to a pressurized source, and the outlet port opens into a dispensing spigot adapted to discharge materials from the faucet. A handle having a pivotal lever is disposed in the valve body and engages the plunger to reciprocate longitudinally through the bore. A plug is mounted on the plunger and has axial and radial sealing surfaces. The plug is forced against the axial valve seat when the valve is closed to deform in both axial and radial directions.

Abstract: The invention relates to a valve assembly especially for a liquid dispensing device. It comprises a valve enclosure body (10), a valve element (13) located in the valve enclosure (10), an operating lever (14) for moving the valve element (13), and an operating lever sealing (15) in a through-hole of the valve enclosure body (10). According to the invention, the operating lever (14) is pivoted to the valve enclosure body (10) on the outside of the valve enclosure, in which case the pivot point is not in contact with the agent flowing through the valve.

Abstract: A liquid-dispensing faucet includes a mounting fitting that defines a first flow passage and that is adapted for connection to an associated container with the first flow passage in communication with an internal space of the container. The mounting fitting comprises a valve seat. A body is connected to the mounting fitting. The body defines an inlet, an outlet and a second flow passage that fluidically interconnects the inlet and the outlet. A seal member is connected to the body and is selectively movable between a first operative position and second operative position. The seal member sealingly mates with the valve seat to block the first flow passage when the seal member is in the first operative position. An actuator is operably coupled to the seal member for moving the seal member from the first operative position to the second operative position. In this manner, the valve seat is provided in the mounting fitting rather than as a part of the faucet body.

Abstract: The fuel injector includes a solid state actuator that operates through an actuator motion amplifying lever to directly control the needle valve motion. Hydraulic forces, which act along the axes of the needle valve and the motion amplifying lever, are compensated by using a control piston, or other biasing means, to reduce the required amplitude of the control current/voltage and to reduce the required strength of the spring biasing the needle valve closed. The fuel injector may also include a control fuel inlet that is separate from the injection fuel inlet port.

  • Patent number: 6298875
Abstract: A slide valve faucet handle operates when a user arcuately pushes or pulls the handle back and forth in one arcuate axis. A knob atop the slide valve is pushed away from the user in an arcuate fashion to increase flow or pulled toward the user to reduce or shut off flow. The slide valve includes an escutcheon/valve housing at the bottom with a manually graspable knob at the top attached to a movable cover member. The cover member, which is basically hemispherical, has a section removed at an angle to permit the movable cover to advance forward over the escutcheon/valve housing. With the knob in the upright position, the valve is closed. With the knob tilted fully back in a position of use, the slide valve is in the full open position. Intermediate positions regulate flow in a continuous linear manner as expected. There is no spring return, so the slide valve remains open where adjusted along the arcuate axis.

Abstract: An arm-driven sleeve valve utilizes a single pin connection to transmit torque from a shaft of the sleeve valve to a pair of arm portions suspended therefrom for controlling the flow of fluid from the valve by axially moving a gate. The single pin connection is centrally positioned between the arm portions and ensures the each of the arm portions exerts an equal force on the gate, regardless of torsional deflection of the shaft. Use of the invention allows arm-driven sleeve valves to be driven asymmetrically from only one of opposite axial ends of the shaft without tending to bind the gate against the main body of the valve.
