In one example embodiment, a plurality of quantity allocation rules can be user-configurable, and different rules can be defined and applied in relation to different order types.

Abstract: An augmented reality system enables consumers to access additional data and services when reviewing printed account statements. A built-in camera of a mobile device captures an image of the account statement. The captured image is processed to correlate the account statement to an account provider, effectively unlocking a set of customized services related to the account statement being reviewed. The mobile device displays customized services for the user to view and interact with.

In response to a service provider providing the new service according to the defined standard, the service registry is updated with the new service and responding to the service requester that the service is available. The embodiments allow both direct interaction between the requester and provider or indirect interaction via a service management layer.

Abstract: The technology disclosed here encodes a clothing item ID as an alphanumeric code within the clothing item, such as within a radio-frequency identification tag. A clothing item cleaning appliance, such as a cell phone, or a washing machine reads the clothing item ID from the clothing item, and retrieves the care and content information from a database maintained on a cloud. For example, the care and content information can include operating settings of the washing machine. The washing machine can adjust its settings and wash the clothing item in accordance with the care and content information of the clothing item. The care and content information stored in the database can be organized in optimized data structures enabling efficient responses to received queries, and efficient updates to the information stored in the data structures.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for determining portions of media assets for cooperative reception by multiple devices. The disclosed techniques herein include identifying cooperating devices that are able to communicate with a selected device for relaying portions of a media asset. For example, a group of people each travelling together in a vehicle may wish to view a media asset by cooperatively using their network resources of their smartphones to relay portions of the media asset for viewing. Network service data for each of the plurality of cooperating devices is then received. Based on the network service data, a determination is made for each cooperating device regarding reception of a respective portion of the media asset to each cooperating device. Instructions to receive and relay the respective portions of the media asset are transmitted to each cooperating device.

In some implementations, shipment data indicating a package to be delivered at the property and identification information for a first person is obtained. A request for a second person to access the property and deliver the package that includes identification information for the second person is received. Identification information for the first person is compared to the identification information for the second person. Access to the property is provided to the second person. Sensor data generated by one or more sensors that are located throughout the property and while providing access to the property is obtained and analyzed. A determination of whether the second person delivered the package to the property is made based on analyzing the sensor data. Data indicating the determination is provided for output.

Abstract: A device receives third-party boycott data associated with a merchant, and receives customer preference data associated with a customer of the merchant. The device processes the third-party boycott data and the customer preference data, with a machine learning model, to identify a boycott of the merchant that is predicted to be of interest to the customer. The bifurcated transaction is initiated when a consumer orders a set of non-perishable items electronically, e.g., using an app, website etc. At the brick-and-mortar store, the consumer picks up a shopping cart with the order of the set of non-perishable items and then peruses and adds perishable items to the shopping cart. In one embodiment, a single unique machine-readable label (e.g., a barcode) identifies the set of the non-perishable items. At checkout, the transaction is completed by scanning respective machine-readable labels (e.g., barcodes) on the perishable items and the single unique machine-readable label that identifies the set of the non-perishable items.

Purchase information for items offered by third-party vendors outside the network is retrieved by a middleware platform called by the client-side platform. In one embodiment, a target image and a reference image are received, the reference image includes a lighting effect desired to be applied to the target image. A lighting transfer is performed using color data and geometrical data associated with the reference image and color data and geometrical data associated with the target image.
