Abstract: A swash plate 3 includes an substrate 11 made of an iron-based material, a hard first resin layer 12 provided to coat an end surface of the substrate 11, and a soft second resin layer 13 provided to coat the first resin layer 12. A spiral annular groove 12A is formed in a surface of the first resin layer 12, and the second resin layer 13 is provided to match a sectional shape of the first resin layer 12. With the soft second resin layer 13 on a sliding surface 3A of the swash plate 3, the swash plate 3 having a good fit in an initial stage of sliding can be provided. When the second resin layer 13 partially wears, a protrusion 12 of the first resin layer 12 of hard resin is exposed, and thus the swash plate 3 having good wear resistance can be provided. Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a swash plate which fulfils the basic properties required for a swash plate, which are stable boundary lubricating state by lubricating oil, without forming a metal spray coating layer comprising a copper type or aluminum type material on the surface of the substrate 3a forming the swash plate 3 of the swash plate type compressor as an intermediate layer. The substrate 3a of the swash plate 3 comprises a disk-shaped steel sheet formed by pressing a rolled steel sheet into a disk shape, and both surfaces of the disk-shaped steel sheet is ground. Thus, resin coating layers 10 containing fluororesin, which has superior seizure resistance, can be strongly fixed to the substrate without the need to form a metal spray coating layer on the surface of the substrate. This improves the durability of the swash plate type compressor using carbon dioxide gas as a refrigerant.

A first wobble plate assembly is coupled to the jack shaft for driving the spindle to reciprocate at least approximately linearly in a linear path along a predetermined axis. A counterweight is mounted in the housing for performing a rotative reciprocating motion and pivoting relative to the housing about a pivot axis. The pivot axis is disposed in a plane perpendicular to the predetermined axis and fixed relative to the housing. A second wobble plate assembly is coupled to the jack shaft for driving the counterweight. The use of the counterweight results in no friction or restriction with a large stroke and large area, so that stability is improved, fitting of the counterweight is simple and cost is reduced.

The transition arm is configured to translate between rotational movement of the rotating member and a first linear motion of the piston. The mechanism is configured to superimpose a second linear motion of the piston onto the first linear motion of the piston. The assembly can be a hydraulic (or air) pump or hydraulic (or air) motor, with the second linear motion resulting in reduced output ripple or smooth torque vs. angular rotation, respectively. Also, the assembly can be an alternator or electric motor, with the additional linear motion resulting in an ac waveform that conforms substantially to a sinewave or a back emf that conforms to the input voltage or electric waveform. In addition, the assembly can be an internal combustion engine in which the second linear motion results in the pistons lingering about top dead center during the combustion process.
