    Abstract: A clock signal generation apparatus is disclosed in which an original signal source generates an original clock signal, a first frequency divider starts dividing the frequency of the original clock signal in response to the rise of the original clock signal and produces a frequency-divided clock signal, a second frequency divider starts dividing the frequency of the original clock signal in response to the fall of the original clock signal and produces a frequency-divided clock signal, a sync timing signal source generates a sync timing signal, and a selection circuit renders effective selected one of the first and second frequency dividers in accordance with a level of the original clock signal at selected one of the ride and fall timings of the sync timing signal thereby to produce the frequency-divided clock signal of the effective frequency divider as a clock signal.

    Abstract: A testable LSI chip incorporating memory blocks, such as RAM and ROM, and random logic circuitry, and a testing method thereof are disclosed. A front-stage peripheral logic circuit block and rear-stage peripheral logic circuit block connected to the input and output modes of a memory block are provided on their output side and input side, respectively, with the flip-flops in correspondence to the input and output nodes of the memory block. The flip-flops on the output side and flip-flops on the input side are each connected to form a shift register. In testing the front peripheral logic block, the test result is latched in the flip-flops on the output side and then the contents are shifted out for reading. In testing the rear-stage peripheral logic circuit block, a bit pattern for testing is shifted-in and latched in the flip-flops on the input side and then supplied to the rear-stage peripheral logic circuit block under test.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for recording a digitized signal. If a recording apparatus is switched from a recording mode to a non-recording mode and then switched from the non-recording mode to a recording mode, there is produced a portion between two records where the records are not continuous. When such a portion is reproduced, abnormal data come to be reproduced because of existence of discontinuity between the prior and subsequent data. And, if a digital audio signal is similarly recorded, it follows that an abnormal sound is generated when such a portion is reproduced. Then, by recording an anti-format signal in the discontinuous portion, the reproduction of abnormal data or generation of abnormal sound can be prevented from occurring.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a pipeline data processing apparatus wherein an instruction is fetched from a main storage, the instruction is decoded to generate control information for executing the instruction, and the control information is transferred to an instruction execute circuit. The target address of a branch instruction is stored in the index field of an associative memory, and control information obtained by decoding a target instruction of branch corresponding to the branch instruction is stored in the data field of the associative memory beforehand. When executing the branch instruction, the associative memory is accessed with the target address, and the control information of the corresponding entry is read out and is transferred to the instruction execute circuit, whereupon the instruction execute circuit starts executing the target instruction of branch instruction in succeession to the execution of the branch instruction.

    Abstract: An adaptive link assignment scheme for dynamically changing communication node topologies such as satellite networks, fleets of ships or aircraft, etc. Periodically each node in the network transmits topology information to all the nodes in the network. Then each node determines the degree of connectivity of the network. It is preferred that the network be at least triconnected, and if the network is less than that each node determines what connections it can make to improve the network connectivity. If more than one alternative is available, a choice is made based on line of sight endurance and then on traffic delay. The identification of the selected connection is then broadcast to all the nodes in the network. Each node thus receives the proposed changes from all the network nodes, and each node then resolves conflicts between the broadcast selections and determines what change it should make. Finally, the changes are implemented.

Setscrews oriented parallel to the element axis are located in the openings to be rotatable and held toward the lens element. The setscrews enter into the mount body with their thread zone projecting out of the peripheral surface of the retaining ring.

    Abstract: A feed apparatus employs a vision controlled robotic manipulator in which components are dispersed into a single layer with a random orientation. The dispersing mechanism comprises a vibratory feed plate having an input hopper which receives components to be dispersed. The feed plate is controllably vibrated such that components are urged along its top surface. Located in the travel path of the components above the feed plate is a rotating cylindrical brush, which sweeps components as they are being vibrated by the feed plate and causes a single layer of components to emerge from beneath the brush and pass to a viewing/pick-up zone. This zone is backlighted, so that the components may be observed by a camera mounted directly above the backlighted layer. The camera image is analyzed by a video data processor to determine the location and orientation of a component. This information is applied to a manipulator control program for driving a robotic manipulator to pick-up a component for transport to a workpiece.

    Abstract: A segregated fluid management system and method is provided for a SDG or IDG system. There is a full case hydraulics (24), a gear case section (19) and a generator section (25). The full case hydraulics section (24) operates completely full of oil. A charge pump (34) draws from the full case (33) inside this section (24) and discharges oil from the case (33) to the pump and motor (26), the servo valve (29), the control piston (30) and the charge relief valve (31). The gear case section (19) is operated as a dry sump by a scavenge pump (17) which keeps the gear case cavity from accumulating an appreciable amount of oil. The scavenge pump (17) removes oil from the gear case section (19) and routes it through a filter (35) to the full case hydaulics section (24). The generator section (25) is conduction cooled and has a pitot pump (40) arranged in an air gap (39 ) between the generator rotor (37) and the stator (38).

In response to a command from the processing unit, this data is extracted from the buffer memory so that the screen data is transferred to the terminal device without being re-edited for each transfer. The fluid control valve can be obtained simple in structure and high in precision, and be allowed a reduction in cavitation and noise.
