  • Patent number: 6293208
Abstract: In a method of supplying air to a pulverized solid fuel burner passing through the burner cowl of a furnace, the fuel is dried and then conveyed by means of a given large quantity of hot air, which may or may not be depleted in oxygen in a separator in which the fuel is extracted from it. The fuel is then conveyed to the burner by means of a first portion only of the air from which the fuel has been removed. This conveyor air portion is used as primary combustion-supporting air for burning the fuel in the burner, into which the first portion of air, mixed with the fuel it conveys, is fed via an annular duct. The other portion of the hot air purified in the separator is used at least as additional primary combustion-supporting and flame adjustment air and is fed into the burner peripherally and centrally relative to the first portion of air charged with fuel.

  • Patent number: 6287256
Abstract: Disclosed are a remote pressure-monitoring device and a preparing method thereof. The device comprises a metal electrode on a glass substrate, a capacitive sensor made of a silicon diaphragm, and an electroplated inductor electrically connected, in parallel, with the sensor. The glass substrate and the silicon are electrically bonded to form an LC resonator. For the fabrication of the device, first, a metal electrode which plays a role as a lower electrode for a capacitive pressure sensor is deposited on the glass substrate with the same coefficient of thermal expansion as that of silicon. An inductor is formed at a thickness by copper electroplating, surrounding the metal electrode at a predetermined distance. A silicon substrate is anisotropically etched to form a space for enveloping the metal electrode at a central area and to form a groove around the space.

  • Patent number: 6285866
Abstract: A single-chip radio structure with a piezoelectric crystal device integrated on a monolithic integrated circuit and a method of fabricating the same. A thin or thick piezoelectric crystal wafer is bonded on a silicon substrate and adjusted in thickness by mechanical grinding and polishing processes. Then, a surface acoustic wave resonator and other passive devices such as a filter, inductor, etc. are formed on the piezoelectric crystal wafer by a standard lithography process. Therefore, a high-precision oscillator and various passive devices can be included in a monolithic integrated circuit to implement a single-chip radio structure. This single-chip radio structure has the effect of reducing the volume and weight of the entire receiver while maintaining excellent performances provided by passive devices on a crystal substrate, such as frequency stability, frequency linearity and low power consumption, etc., as they are.
