    Abstract: The present invention consists of a single-dose espresso maker for preparing infusions in general, to be disposed of after being used. It consists of two glass-shaped containers, one of which contains water to be heated and the other of which, equipped with a filtering bottom wall, contains the infusion product; the mutually opposite mouths of both said containers are coupled with each other by grafting, with the interposition of a water-sealing disk-shaped element of pre-established strength, which can be broken by the pressure developed by heating water; and of at least one perforated disk-shaped element. After heating the water containing element, the pressure of generated water vapor causes the breakage of said sealing disk, enabling water to flow through the filter-container containing the infusion product and hence the desired infusion to be produced and fed to a container associated with the espresso maker.

A further undercarriage supports the carrier frame rear end for mobility on the track. A ballast sweeping and receiving arrangement comprises a ballast broom connected to the carrier frame for sweeping ballast off the track and a conveyor band having an input end arranged to receive the ballast swept by the broom.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid esters using novel maleic acid esters as starting materials. In the process, in a first process step, 2,3-dihalomaleic acid esters are reacted with ammonia, or ammonium salts, with the exclusion of water at a temperature of at least 50.degree.0 C. to form novel 2-amino-3-halomaleic acid esters, and these are subsequently reacted further in a second process step with .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated aldehydes, or ketones, in the presence of an acidic catalyst and acid-binding agents at a temperature of at least 50.degree. C. with heat being supplied until the pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid esters have been formed. Pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid esters of this type can be used for example, as intermediates for synthesis of herbicides based on imidazoline. The present invention also relates to novel 2-amino-3-halomaleic acid esters, which are useful for producing the final product pyyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid esters.

The tear tape opening system according to the present invention includes a hot melt coated tear tape adhered to the outside surface of the inside liner along the desired line of opening and a hot melt coated tear guide tape, at least as wide as the tear tape, adhered to the inside surface of the outside liner along the desired line of opening so as to guide the tear formed by the tear tape and reinforce and stabilize at least one edge of the tear along the outside surface of the outside liner.

The conveyor frame has downwardly extendible support elements which, for the conveying operation, lift the conveyor strand reversing in the lower stringer from the ground when the support elements are extended. For the transporting operation, the support elements are retracted so as to permit the strand to lie on the ground. Between the segments of the conveyor frame disposed in the front region of the conveyor there are steering cylinders by means of which the angle between these segments can be adjusted so as to direct the longitudinal direction of the conveyor.

    Abstract: A system for mounting a series of decorative panels onto the outer surface of a building includes four basic elements, a baseplate, a cover plate and two panel edge brackets. The baseplate has a generally centrally-disposed wall portion securable to the outer surface of a building and the cover plate is mountable on the baseplate to cover the centrally-disposed portion. The cover plate has an outer surface which defines a base wall of a caulkless joint. Each of the panel edge brackets has a panel wall securable to an edge of a decorative panel. Male-female locking elements are associated with the base and cover plates for clamping the panel edge brackets to either the baseplate or the cover plate so that the panel walls of the panel edge brackets are generally normally disposed to, and abut, the outer surface of the cover plate. As a result, the panel walls define the joint sidewalls of the caulkless joint.

    Abstract: A longitudinally-extending constant speed decline belt conveyor for conveying a load along a downwardly sloped planar surface thereon. An endless traction belt rotatable about terminal rollers at the ends thereof, has an upper run extending in the longitudinal direction along the entire length of the conveyor. At least one of the terminal rollers of the endless traction belt is a speed control or braking roller for applying a braking force to the traction belt. The braking roller retards the rotation of the endless belt thereby retarding the movement of the load along the conveyor. A traction belt is utilized for braking so that the loads on the belt may have a uniform braking action applied thereto continuously as the loads move downwardly along the conveyor.
