Abstract: A stentering machine having a horizontal drying zone and a vertical pretreatment zone for a strip of material held spread out between tension chains configured as slide chains is described. The tension chains are brought from the vertical into the horizontal position in a deflection zone. In order to achieve the result that the slide pads that carry the tension chain, in each instance, make area contact with the related support guideways both in the horizontal, level region and in the curved region of the guide rails, the slide surfaces of the supporting slide pads that are affixed to the chain are divided into three consecutive zones, in the transport direction, namely a level edge zone, a curved center zone, and a second level edge zone.
Abstract: The invention relates to a security belt, in particular for personal protection, which can be attached and fixed to the human body. The belt comprises at least two belt sections which enable the security belt to be fitted and removed and a fixing element for connecting the belt sections in a secure and detachable manner. The security belt has at least one fixing device for various security and safety elements, which is connected to at least one of the belt sections in a fixed manner. The weight and dimensions of the security belt which encompasses the fixing device are configured in such a way that the security belt is very comfortable to wear and allows extensive freedom of movement over long periods of time during daily activities.
Abstract: A method and a device for regulating a pressure in an epitaxy reactor, wherein the epitaxy reactor has a wafer handling chamber WHC, a process chamber PC, and a gate valve GV connecting the two chambers. The wafer handling chamber is continuously purged with inert gas. The pressure difference between the wafer handling chamber and the process chamber is measured, and the resulting measurement signal is used in a control circuit to regulate the pressure in the wafer handling chamber. In this case the pressure in the wafer handling chamber is reduced if the pressure difference is above a predetermined value and the pressure in the wafer handling chamber is increased if the pressure difference is below a predetermined value. The predetermined pressure difference is defined as a pressure being between 5 and 500 PA. The WHC and the PC each have a gas discharge line and a gas input line.
Abstract: The invention relates to a sports shoe (1), in particular a ski boot (2), having a shell part (3) made from plastics. A shell base (11) of the shell part (3) forming support surface (12) an inner shoe (10) or foot (9) is provided in the form of an impact- and/or vibration-damping ribbed fitting, consisting of a shell wall and a ribbed lattice formed on a surface thereof remote from the support surface (12). Certain regions of this ribbed fitting are enclosed by a bending- and/or torsion-resistant profiled element (43) extending in a longitudinal direction substantially between a heel- and a ball-bearing region (32, 33) and secured between block elements (29) and the ribbed fitting by means of clamping and fixing means.
Abstract: A method for producing CRT funnel glass having a glass composition containing MgO, CaO, SrO, BaO and ZnO as essential components. Further, the total content of MgO, CaO, SrO, BaO and ZnO falls within a range of 5 to 13 mass %. As a glass material of the CRT funnel glass, CRT panel glass or CRT neck glass may be used. The method comprises preparing the glass material so as to contain MgO, CaO, SrO, BaO, and ZnO as essential components and so that the total content of MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO+ZnO falls within a range of 5 to 13 mass %; and melting the glass material.
Abstract: A stentering machine having a drying zone and a pretreatment zone for coating a web of material on both sides and drying it is described. One aim consists of deflecting a web of material coated in the vertical position and stretched out in width, in order to introduce it into a conventional flat tenter frame, without damaging the coating. According to the invention, the web of material is needled into a pair of stentering chains having a predetermined chain pitch, and deflected from the vertical into the horizontal position on such a large arc that the difference between the sum of the chain pitches that form the arc chords and the arc length itself becomes small enough to be ignored.

Abstract: A closing cap (1) for two-chamber containers (2), which can be connected to an outlet opening (3) of the container (2). The container (2) is divided by a separating element (4), which extends up to outlet opening (3), so that the contents of the first chamber (5) are supplied separately from the contents of the second chamber (6) to the outlet opening (3). According to the invention, a detent connection is provided for joining the closing cap (1) to the container (2), whereby a separating wall (12) divides the closing cap (1) into two separate areas. A separately closeable withdrawal opening (8, 8?) is arranged in each area, and the separating wall (12) interacts with the separating element (4) as to connect each of the chambers (5,6) of the container (2) only to the area of the closing cap (1), in which the assigned withdrawal opening (8, 8?) is located.

Abstract: A security device that is attachable to a surface of display items. The security device includes a housing comprising a sensor body having a flat face plate, and a jack housing, and a dome shaped cover which is attachable to the flat face plate. Jack housing is attachable or molded to an inside face of the flat face and extends out from that inside face with an opening in the dome shaped cover forming an opening for the jack. Disposed on an outside surface of this flat face plate is an adhesive opposite the open port connection of the jack. The adhesive functions as a fastener, fastening the security device to the display device. To determine whether the security device has been detached from the display device, there is a switch disposed substantially in the housing. The switch is in contact with the surface of the item for display, so that when said housing is detached from the item for display, the switch triggers a signal, indicating that the device has been removed from the item for display.

Abstract: An exhaust gas turbocharger for an internal combustion engine, which has an exhaust gas turbine in the exhaust system and a compressor in the induction system, comprises a variable turbine geometry, associated with the turbine, for adjustably setting a radial inlet cross section for the flow to the turbine rotor. The variable turbine geometry is configured as a guide cascade ring, which has guide vanes distributed over the periphery and encompasses the turbine rotor. The minimum distance between two adjacent guide vanes obeys a specified relationship with respect to the diameter of the turbine rotor and the number of guide vanes of the guide cascade ring. In addition, a flow edge is provided on the radially inner surface of each guide vane.
