Abstract: A surface mountable connector (100) comprises an insulator (10), a plurality of contacts (30) and a plurality of fixity members (40). The contacts (30) are held by the insulator (10). Similarly, the fixity members (40) are held by the insulator (10). The fixity member (40) has a specific shape similar to the contact (30) except for a contact portion of the contact (30) which is a part of the contact (30) brought into contact with a contact of a mating connector when the connector (100) is mated with the mating connector. The fixity member (40) can be easily manufactured by cutting off the contact portion from the contact (30).

Abstract: A method for directly evacuating water that has been separated from the filtered fuel in a fuel filter and has settled in a water collection chamber (4) of the fuel filter to an evacuation area that lies above the water level, by opening a shut-off valve (7), which leads to the exterior of the fuel filter and is connected in a water-conductive manner to the water collection chamber (4). Said evacuation takes place under a pressure that is higher in the water collection chamber (4) in relation to the evacuation area, whereby said pressure differential is created either by the operating pressure within the fuel filter during operation, or by a negative pressure that is applied externally. The method permits the simple evacuation of water form the interior of a fuel filter by a method that is not based on gravity. The inventive method can be implemented in a particularly advantageous manner, using specially configured fuel filters.

The alkali-free glass contains substantially no alkali metal oxide and has a density of 2.45g/cm3 or less, an average coefficient of thermal expansion of 25×10?7/° C.-36×10?7/° C. within a temperature range between 30 and 380° C., and a strain point not lower than 640° C.
Abstract: A device for displacing a cylinder block and cylinder head vs a crankcase. The cylinder block contains cylinders having an axis. In this case, the device comprises a plurality of bearing bridges extending across the cylinder block between the cylinders in a substantially straight line that is substantially perpendicular to the cylinder axis. In this case, each of the plurality of bearing bridges have a plurality of bearing passages. There are at least two setting shafts disposed in an upper region of the cylinder block in these bearing passages, and arranged in an alternating manner over a length of the crankcase. There are also a plurality of eccentrics which are coupled to the at least two setting shafts and supported on both sides of each of the cylinders. There are also a plurality of hollow support bars disposed in the cylinder block below the receiving bores.

Abstract: A device for exposing, developing and cutting reeled photographic material comprises an exposure unit, a cutting unit and a developer unit, and transport mechanisms associated therewith and operable to transport the reeled photographic material or to hold it stationary. A first buffer container is disposed between the exposure and cutting units and a second buffer container is disposed between the cutting and developer units. The buffer containers have flaps for selectively closing and opening the buffer containers whereby the reeled photographic material may be transported above them when they are closed and buffered therein when they are open.
Abstract: The invention relates to a piston for a diesel engine comprising a combustion cavity. The piston crown and the cavity are plasma-sprayed with a coating. The aim of the invention is to produce the coating in a cost-effective manner. To achieve this, the layer thickness of the coating is uneven, being thicker in the border region of the cavity.

Abstract: Adjacent rows of flat, panel-shaped components disposed below one another, overlapping in a shingle-like way, form a covering of a roof or a facade. The components are preferably designed as photovoltaic elements. Disposed under the components in each case in the region between adjacently situated vertical rows is a section forming an upwardly open channel in order to receive and drain water running off next to the components. The section has sawtooth-shaped lateral parts on which the components are borne in their shingle-like configuration. By means of the lateral parts, a clearly defined support for the components is formed, and by means of the sections draining the water, seals between the components can be dispensed with even in horizontal direction.

Abstract: A power switching device in an electrical power distribution system on board a helicopter. There is a power switching device that switches on or off the power flow from a main distributor to the consumer. This switching device comprises an overhead panel with a switching means. This device improves the functional safety of electrical and electronic devices in the helicopter by reducing the electromagnetic influence without increasing the weight of the shielding technology and without requiring additional space in the helicopter airframe. With this device there is at least one fuse panel that is in electrical communication with a main distributor. The main distributor has an electrically protective switch which is connected to a power supply connection and a consumer connection. The electronic protective switch is controllable by a control unit which is connected to a control switch on the overhead panel via a fiber optic cable.
Abstract: A display device has at least one shelf for modular merchandise units having a substantially flat base. The shelf has at least two spaced walls defining a channel between the walls. At least one support is disposed in the channel and receives the base of the merchandise unit or units. Each support has a rearward portion elevated at a first angle, a substantially horizontal forward portion, and an intermediate portion elevated at a second angle greater than the first angle and connecting the rearward and forward portions. When placed on the rearward portion of the support, the merchandise unit will descend by gravity to the forward portion of the support for access to the unit in a selected presentation position.
Abstract: A composite diaphragm for diaphragm pumps comprises an elastomer body and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PFTE) coating on its back side. The elastomer body has a shape of a circular dish that has an edge region with a clamping area, a bottom and a flexible section of the diaphragm that connects the edge of the dish with the bottom. The flexible section of the diaphragm comprises a multitude of naps forming elevations on the coated side of the elastomer body. The PFTE coating is a plane ring surface with the area of the flexible section of the diaphragm.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for the individual or group activation of tipping conveyor elements of a tipping shell sorter, which are provided with an electric motor tipping drive. The electric motor of the tipping drive, is supplied with electrical energy transmitted in a contact-free manner, and is initially brought up to its rated or idle speed (n0), without a load, before the tipping process is initiated. The tipping device has an electronic control device so that when the electric motor, receives a tipping control signal, as the conveyor or elements approach a receiving station, the motor is initially brought up to its rated speed (n0), without activating the tipping device. The tipping device is then automatically activated by the control device. This causes the tipping conveyor element and its horizontal support surface to be tipped to one side so that one or more piece goods will be delivered to a preselected receiving station, while the conveyor system is moving.
Abstract: Glass powder for a dielectric material has a nature that, when fired, diopside (CaMgSi2O6) and at least one of titanite (CaTi(SiO4)O) and titania (TiO2) are precipitated. Preferably, the glass powder has a composition including SiO2, CaO, MgO, and TiO2 and the total content of these components is 80 mass % or more. Preferably, the glass powder comprises, by mass percent, 35-65% SiO2, 10-30% CaO, 10-20% MgO, and 12-30% TiO2.
Abstract: A ring filter element comprising a plug for, in particular, a lubricating oil filter of an internal combustion engine. Said ring filter element is provided for insertion into a filter housing comprising a filter housing pot and a filter cover that can be axially detached. When inserted in the closed filter housing, the plug seals an opening which is provided in the filter housing pot and which extends in the same axial direction as the plug. The aim of the invention is to provide a ring filter element of the aforementioned type that can be packed in a space-saving manner. To this end, the ring filter element comprises the following characteristics: the plug is mounted on the ring filter element in such a manner that it can be displaced along to same axis or parallel to the axis, and; said mounting permits the plug to move with the aid of an actuating means which acts, by contact, upon the lug from outside the ring filter element.

The mounting part includes a first middle portion (21) of high rigidity with first force application locations (25), at least three second portions (221 to 223) of medium rigidity configured circumferentially, each including two second force application locations (26) in the transition portion between juxtaposed second portions, strain relief portions (23) of low rigidity and at least three radially oriented connecting webs (24) and comprising a medium rigidity by a recess (27) of U-shaped cross-section being configured in the medium portions thereof. Mounted on the flat surface of the second portions (22) and of the connecting webs (24) are strain gauges (28) circuited in accordance with the principle of a Wheatstone bridge. From the measured values obtained thereby three forces (Fx, Fy, Fz) and three moments (Mx, My, Mz) can be defined.

Abstract: An injection molding machine with a vertically displaceable closing unit, comprises a plate-like lower yoke as the counterpressure plate; a plate-like upper yoke as the stationary mold clamping plate; at least three vertically aligned struts connecting the lower yoke and the upper yoke with each other in a force-locked manner; as well as another plate-like element serving as the displaceable mold clamping plate, which is displaceable on the struts by one or more driving cylinders having a small cross section and a large stroke length.
