That is, the contact includes a stationary portion (4A) fixed to an insulator (2), a first portion (4B) having a first contact point (4B1) and being continuous with the stationary portion, a substantially U-shaped portion (4C) continuous with the first portion, a second portion (4D) having a second contact point (4D1) and being continuous with the substantially U-shaped portion, and a movable portion (4E) continuous with the second portion and engaging with an actuator (5) held by the insulator to be slidable along the insulator. The first and the second contact points confront each other with a gap (W) left therebetween. The actuator slides to displace the movable portion so that the first and the second contact points sandwich therebetween a connection counterpart (13B) that is inserted in the gap.
Abstract: A conductive contact (1) is coupled to an insulator (7) for receiving a first object to be movable in a first direction (X). The contact has a frame portion (1c) which defines an opening (1e) extending in the first direction and a second direction (Y) perpendicular to the first direction and which is fixed to the insulator. A spring portion (1b) extends from the frame portion to face the opening in a third direction (Z) perpendicular to the first and the second directions. The spring portion has a contacting portion (1a) to be brought into contact with the first object. Abstract: An active broad-band reception antenna, in which the internal amplification of the active antenna is lowered if a predetermined signal level is exceeded, and which consists of a passive antenna part having output connectors that are connected with the input connectors of an amplifier circuit. The input circuit of the amplifier circuit contains a three-pole amplification element with its impedance control connector being connected with the first connector of the passive antenna part, at high frequency. The input admittance of a transformation network having the nature of a low loss filter for low amplitude, high-frequency reception signals, has a counter-coupling and linearizing effect in the high-frequency connection between the source connector of the three-pole amplification element and the second connector of the passive antenna part. The transformation network is loaded with a continuing circuit at its output.
Abstract: A method for touching up and/or repairing minor surface damage in a large-format pressing plate or an endless strip 3 made of steel sheet, with a textured surface 4, for surface embossing of wood materials or laminate panels, has the damaged surface subjected to microgalvanic treatment. In order to simply repair the damage locations and to allow a longer tool life of the pressing sheets, it is provided, that an electrolyte solution that contains metal ions and iron is used, which is coordinated with the base material of the pressing plate or the endless strip 3. This yields the particular advantage that no color deviations are formed as compared with the damaged locations and that a conventional chromium-plating process can be used. Thus the damaged locations 2 are not washed out and thereby become visible again, during subsequent touch-up chromium-plating, because of the electrolyte used.
Abstract: The invention relates to a board-type runner device (1), in particular a ski (2) or a snowboard, comprising several layers disposed between a running surface lining (25) and a top layer (24), with a top belt (31) lying closest to the top layer (24) and/or a bottom belt (32) lying closest to the running surface lining (25) of a highly tensile material. In conjunction with a core disposed between the layers, these layers form a multi-layered element and at least one profiled section (12, 13) is provided in the core. At least a part-region of the outer surface of the profiled section (12, 13) is embedded or inlaid in a layer (44, 45) of an elastic synthetic material, preferably a layer (44, 45) of expanded synthetic material above the profiled section (12, 13) that is flexible and elastically resilient under the action of forces.
Abstract: A shuttered connector including a fitting part that receivee a mating connector including an insertion part having a slanted surface, an insulator, at least one shutter that is rotatably supported by and fixed on the insulator, and helical springs that continuously urge the shutter in the closing direction. The shutter is selectively closed state when the shutter covers the fitting part and in an opened state when the mating connector is capable of being fitted with the shuttered connector. The mating connector includes insertion parts. The shutter further includes a guide units having an inclined surface, the shutter being rotated to open outward, with the including surface being pushed by slanted surface when the fitting part receives the mating connector so that the shutter connector is capable of fitting the mating connector.

Abstract: An apparatus for producing a natural electromagnetic alternating field close to a user's body. The natural electromagnetic alternating field is similar to an area of pleasant weather (Sferics), to compensate for electrical stress acting on a user. The field can also be used for positive stimulation of the well-being of the user. The apparatus has a means for producing the alternating field and a means for transmitting the alternating field.
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic actuator for actuating a gas exchange valve (1) of an internal combustion engine, which valve is especially closed by the effect of a spring. The actuator is configured by a feed pump (6) with intermittent and thus variable delivery. The feed pump (6) has a high frequency and can be equipped for this purpose with piezoelectric, magnetorestrictive and/or electrochemical actuators as the feed elements. Optionally, the feed pump (6) can be operated with a stop valve (7) that is disposed downstream of the gas exchange valve (1) and that is controlled or regulated depending on the feed pump.

Abstract: A process for epitaxially coating the front surface of a semiconductor wafer in a CVD reactor, the front surface of the semiconductor wafer being exposed to a process gas which contains a source gas and a carrier gas, and the back surface of the semiconductor wafer being exposed to a displacement gas, wherein the displacement gas contains no more than 5% by volume of hydrogen, with the result that diffusion of dopants out of the back surface of the semiconductor wafer, which is intensified by hydrogen, is substantially avoided. With this process, it is possible to produce a semiconductor wafer with a substrate resistivity of ?100 m?cm and a resistivity of the epitaxial layer of >1 ?cm without back-surface coating, the epitaxial layer of which semiconductor wafer has a resistance inhomogeneity of <10%.

Abstract: A screw has a head releasably engaged by a flat blade tip in such a manner so as to prevent the flat blade tip from sliding off of the head of the screw as the flat blade up tip drives the screw. The head of the screw has a blind slot defined by a pair of walls and which extends diametrically and completely thereacross, and a blind bore extending concentrically therein. The diameter of the blind bore is less than the width of the blind slot preventing damage to, or breakage of, a drill bit used to drill the blind bore during manufacture by preventing the drill bit from hitting the pair of walls during drilling. The flat blade tip has a projection depending centrally therefrom that is coplanar with, and is a continuation of, the flat blade tip so as to allow the projection to be readily formed by merely removing material from the flat blade tip.
Abstract: A connector includes a contact, a housing, and an actuator. The housing holds and fixes the contact.
