Abstract: A sliding articulation includes an outer hub wherein is housed an inner hub. The outer hub and the inner hub include corresponding respective raceways wherein are housed balls which are guided by a cage arranged between the outer hub and the inner hub. The inner hub can slide freely relative to the outer hub in the axial direction, between a first stop and a second stop, over a distance, when the balls roll in the raceways and it can slide over a second distance when the balls slide in the raceways.
Abstract: A device has a source for emitting near infrared radiation into cerebral tissue, a sensor for detecting radiation exiting from the tissue, and an evaluation unit which detects the exiting radiation as an input signal having pulsatile and non-pulsatile components and is programmed to determine the concentration of an injected indicator in the tissue from the non-pulsatile signal component, iteratively determine an inflow function characterizing cerebral blood flow by varying a mean transit time until reaching a stop criterion, determine indicator concentration relative to cerebral blood volume from the inflow function and the pulsatile signal component, calculate cerebral blood volume by dividing indicator concentration in the tissue by indicator concentration relative to cerebral blood volume, calculate cerebral blood flow by dividing the cerebral blood volume by the mean transit time when the stop criterion has been reached, and scale the inflow function using values determined from the pulsatile signal comp

Abstract: A laminate material for hook-and-loop closures, comprising a carrier film and a textile substrate laminated onto the carrier film. The textile substrate has loops on its surface that are suitable for connecting with hook-and-loop hooks, wherein the carrier film and the textile substrate are not connected over their entire area. A method for producing a laminate material for hook-and-loop closures comprises applying an adhesive to a carrier film in a pattern that is composed of adhesive areas and adhesive-free regions, applying a material web of a textile substrate to the side of the carrier film provided with adhesive to form a two-ply web, the textile substrate having loops on its surface that are suitable for connecting with hook-and-loop hooks; and passing the two-ply web through a roller nip of a pair of rollers, which presses the carrier film and the textile substrate together.
Abstract: A press-fit contact for a plug-in connector, a conductor bar or the like, has a press-in pin at its rear end. A slot is provided in lengthwise direction of the press-in pin. At least one projection is disposed on at least one boundary face of the slot, and a recess, neighboring the projection, is disposed in the circumferential direction of the press-in pin. The recess forms together with the projection a spring element that provides at least part of the retention pressure in the pressed-in condition of the press-in pin.
Abstract: A container for housing an urn. The container comprises a body section and a representative covering which is disposed over the body section. There is an opening in the body section wherein there is a cavity disposed in the body section. This cavity is for receiving an urn. Alternatively, there can be a body wherein the cavity that is lined with a lining for housing the cremated remains of an animal. The device can also further comprise a door for covering the opening, and wherein the opening can be selectively opened or closed to insert or remove the remains of the animal. Other embodiments for an opening can include a zipper, or a draw string type opening.
Abstract: A vibratory gyroscope including a vibrator (10) integrally having a plate-like body portion (11) spreading along a reference plane, three drive arms (12, 13, 14) extending in a first direction from the body portion along the reference plane, and two detection arms (15, 16) extending in a second direction opposite to the first direction from the body portion along the reference plane. The three drive arms are composed of two exciting drive arms (12, 13) that are excited in mutually opposite phases in the reference plane and a non-exciting drive arm (14) located between the two exciting drive arms. Each of the three drive arms has an arm width in a width direction along the reference plane and perpendicular to the first direction. Each of the two detection arms has an arm width greater than that of the drive arm in the width direction, thereby suppressing generation of vibrations along the reference plane.

Abstract: In a connector for connecting two connection objects, a connection member is coupled to a housing which holds contacts to be connected to one of the connection objects. The connection member includes a plurality of terminals to be connected to the other connection object. The connection member further includes a plurality of first conductor patterns arranged in parallel to one another and a plurality of second conductor patterns intersecting the first conductor patterns and arranged in parallel to one another. The first and the second conductor patterns are successively layered at positions different from one another. Abstract: Method and device are for recycling wornout tires and other industrial and domestic wastes. According to a method for shredding wornout tires a package of wornout tires is formed as a number of closely compacted layers. The package is subjected to primary destruction in an armored chamber under conditions of free extension until the package outside layers are destroyed. The overall dimensions of the armored chamber in any cross-section thereof perpendicular to the chamber axis and passing through the package of the compacted tires varies within the range of from 2 to 7 package diameters in such section. The compact package of tires is formed from a few coaxial helical twists having an axial hole. Accordingly, a stress-strain state is established upon free extension of a rubber layer without its contacting with the walls of the armored chamber, whereby efficient destruction and disintegration of the rubber, metallic and textile cord of a tire is attained.
Abstract: A method and a device classifies splinters and wood chips. The device includes a centrifugal classifying unit, a countercurrent classifying unit, a separating funnel for the coarse fraction and a separating cyclone for the fine fraction. A gas or a gas mixture is circulated in the system via a blower. It is tangentially introduced into the lower classifying chamber, initially flows through the countercurrent classifier, through the gaps between the blades of the centrifugal classifier and then into the separating cyclone before being returned to the blower.
Abstract: In a test apparatus for testing a test object, a connector is held by an inner frame of the test apparatus and electrically connected to a substrate. A pusher is slidably held by the inner frame. The pusher has an insertion slot for receiving the test object. The pusher and the inner frame cooperates with each other to position the test object at a position corresponding to the connector. The pusher moves to bring the test object into contact with the connector.
