Abstract: A system is for recognizing obstructions and monitoring movements on or above an airport area (1) with sensors (2, 3, 4). A sensor (2) is a radar device having a plurality of antenna elements (12, 14), which are affixed to a curved surface (15) of an antenna carrier (2a) and are turned on, one after the other, in terms of time. Thus a first part of the antenna elements (14) is disposed on a first circular line (13) on the surface of the antenna carrier (2a), and a second part of the antenna elements (12) is disposed on a circular line (15) perpendicular to the first circular line (13). Therefore the data of the radar device (2) are evaluated in a first ROSAR process, to image the situation on the ground, and in a second ROSAR process, to image the heights of the flying objects to be observed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a twin clutch transmission of high efficiency which is compact in every dimension. This twin clutch transmission can be used particularly in vehicles having a longitudinally installed engine. For this purpose, the transmission input shaft and the transmission output shaft are arranged coaxially with respect to one another, whereas the two countershafts are arranged parallel to one another. Furthermore, the shift sleeves are arranged in a special way, thus making seven forward gears and a plurality of reverse gears possible.
Abstract: A floor strip for bridging a join between two floor coverings that border on one another comprises a base profile that can be fixed in place on the floor, two upwardly extending shanks molded on the base profile, and a cover profile having at least one cover wing that projects laterally. There is a downwardly directed crosspiece, which is connected with the base profile by way of an articulation. The articulation is formed by an articulation rail that is rounded on both sides and grasped between the shanks of the base profile. The shanks are upright but rounded on the inside. The articulation rail is formed by a solid material or by a sleeve, which has a longitudinal groove, into which the crosspiece and/or an attachment means that engages through the cover profile passes. In certain sections, the longitudinal groove passes completely through the articulation rail, and the crosspiece of the cover profile has a greater depth in these regions.
Abstract: The lever comprises a main plate portion, a supporter portion, and an arm. The main plate portion is laid in parallel with a predetermined plane. The supporter portion extends from the main plate portion. The arm is supported by the supporting portion and is bendable in a predetermined direction. The predetermined direction is not equal to a direction perpendicular to the predetermined plane. The arm is provided with a first engagement portion. The housing comprises an accommodation portion and a second engagement portion. The second engagement portion is formed in the accommodation portion. The housing accommodates and rotatably supports the main plate portion in the accommodation portion so that the lever is provided with rotary movement between a first position and a second position. The lever connector is connected to the mating connector and the first engagement portion is engaged with the second engagement portion upon rotation of the lever from the first position to the second position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a one-piece piston (1) for an internal combustion engine comprising an annular cooling channel (6) which is arranged in the edge area of the piston head (4) and closed by a substantially cylindrical embodied in one-piece ring (18).
Abstract: A card connector for connecting an electronic card with an electronic device is disclosed. The connector comprises a base member and a metal cover (10), which define a receptacle for receiving at least partially the electronic card therein. The connector further comprises an ejection mechanism for ejecting the electronic card, at least in part, from the receptacle. The ejector mechanism comprises: a cam portion (60) which provides a cam path; a cam follower (50); and a resilient supporter (40) which supporter supports the cam follower (50) to allow the cam follower (50) to travel along the cam path. The ejection mechanism is formed integrally with the metal cover (10). Instead, the cam portion (60) may be formed integrally with the base member.

Abstract: The inventive method relates to microelectronic and consists in the application of an emission layer to elements of an addressable field-emission electrode with the aid of a gas-phase synthesis method in a hydrogen flow accompanied by a supply of a carbonaceous gas. A dielectric backing is made of a high-temperature resistant material and discrete elements of the addressable field-emission electrode are made of a high-temperature resistant metal. The growth rate of the emission layer on the dielectric backing is smaller than the growth rate of the emission layer on the metallic discrete elements as a result of a selected process of depositing the carbonaceous emission layer, namely the backing temperature, the temperature of the reactor threads, the pumping speed of a gas mixture through the reactor, a selected distance between the reactor threads and the backing and a settling time. The cathode metallic discrete elements can be made of two metallic layers.

Abstract: An antenna configuration is provided for radio reception in motor vehicles, the roof region of which is made predominantly of dielectric materials, and for motor vehicles having roof structures that can be collapsed for open driving operation. The antenna configuration includes a combination of emitters that are integrated into elements of the roof region, with emitters that are disposed in cavities of the interior paneling essentially below the belt line of the vehicle. A ground connection is provided for emitters that are disposed in a roof structure having movable elements by way of at least one resilient contact between movable metal components of the roof structure and the metal car body. Also included is a switching system for alternating operation of the emitters.
