Abstract: The invention relates to an acoustic transducer generating a sound radiation by compression and expansion of an air mass situated between a mobile membrane and a fixed surface or between two mobile membranes. The present invention concerns a transducer or acoustic loudspeaker of electrodynamic type designed to emit sound waves from a modulated electrical signal. The particular arrangement of the constituent elements of the transducer as presented in the invention enables the generation of an acoustic radiation by compression and expansion of the air mass located between a mobile membrane and a fixed surface or anvil which are distinguished by being placed opposite one another. The direction of the resulting acoustical wave is perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the membrane. This manner of generating an acoustic wave enables the production of transducers with specific electroacoustic directivity characteristics.
Abstract: An elastic laminate material web has elastic and non-elastic regions and has non-woven fabric on both surfaces of the web. In between the two surfaces, there are film strips of an elastic film. One surface of the web consists of a planar non-woven fabric layer and is connected with non-woven fabric that is disposed on the opposite surface of the web in areas between the film strips. Each film strip is connected with a non-woven fabric layer to form a laminate strip. The laminate strips are glued to the planar non-woven fabric layer on their film side, and the non-woven fabric that is connected with the planar non-woven fabric layer between the laminate strips is in the form of non-woven fabric strips that run parallel to the laminate strips. The non-woven fabric strips overlap the non-woven fabric layer of the laminate strips in edge regions of the laminate strips.

Abstract: A camshaft for activation of the gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine has two coaxially mounted shafts rotatable inside and with respect to one another, first cams fixedly attached to the first shaft and second cams fixedly attached to the second shaft, a main camshaft drive acting on both shafts, and a device for adjusting the angle of rotation of the first and second shafts with respect to one another by a first actuating drive and adjusting the angle of rotation of both shafts jointly by a second actuating drive. The adjusting device has a rapid response and allows large adjustment angles with a simple structural design.

Abstract: A shelf unit for displaying products in a space saving manner includes brackets for securing to a support and a tray extending between the brackets. The tray has a front portion with edges arranged so that adjacent edges are disposed at alternating angles to form a sawtooth pattern. A face portion configured to conform to the front portion is disposed over the front portion and has a window for viewing a product disposed behind the window. Adjustable partitions are disposed on the tray and define rows for displaying the products. A biasing mechanism biases the products in the row toward a front of the shelf unit. Each biasing mechanisms has a biasing element and a slidable product advancing member. The products are arranged in adjacent rows at alternating angles to form a sawtooth pattern corresponding to the edges of the front portion of the tray.
Abstract: A fresh gas system for a piston engine has a collecting line for supplying fresh air to multiple individual lines. The fresh gas system has the collecting line which is unthrottled and a control unit for actuation of the additional valves is designed so that it subdivides a fresh gas charge of the combustion chamber which depends on the load state into two charging phases (A, B) within an intake time window (T). This is limited by the opening and closing of the intake valve such that it actuates the additional valve to close within the intake time window (T) at a closing point in (TS). This depends on the load state and then actuates it to open at a later opening point in time (TO) that depends on the load state of the piston engine.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an illumination device for vanity mirrors of motor vehicle sun visors. The illumination device does not use cables as conducting elements nor external mechanical elements such as switches, simplifying the assembly operations. A conducting laminar element performs all of these functions: in addition to being the conducting means it acts as a switch for the device. This device is actuated by a cover that covers the mirror and is operated at the user's will. The device is characterised in that it is only illuminated in one position, in which the cover is not covering the mirror and the visor is in a shading position.
Abstract: In the field of electrotherapy, there are currently known devices and methods, in which either the frequency or the amplitude of a therapeutic current is varied. According to a representation of the amplitude on a logarithmic frequency scale, said methods are designated correspondingly as methods of vertical or horizontal stimulation. Various advantages and disadvantages are associated with both methods. The invention relates to a device for carrying out an electrotherapeutic method, according to which the amplitude (A) and the frequency (f) of the therapeutic current (iB) are simultaneously varied within a therapeutic frequency band (fB), which lies in the medium frequency range, in such a way that the method is carried out in discrete frequency steps, either in the range of different frequencies lying just below a stimulation threshold (RS), or periodically between a stimulation that lies above the threshold and a stimulation that lies below said threshold.
Abstract: In an optical connector for use in connecting an optical fiber, a housing defines an optical axis extending in a predetermined direction. For positioning the optical fiber along the optical axis, a ferrule is accommodated in the housing to be movable in the predetermined direction. The housing further accommodates a fixing member engaged with the housing in the predetermined direction. Between the ferrule and the fixing member, an elastic member is interposed to urge the ferrule towards one side in the predetermined direction. In addition, the housing has a guide groove extending in the predetermined direction. The fixing member has a guide portion protruding through the guide groove to the outside of the housing.

Abstract: Valve gears for load-change valves of four-stroke internal combustion engines, in which the load-change valves are closed by spring force, engage a pivot lever moved by a cam for opening a load-change channel. The cam engages an intermediate element that it is additionally moved by the lifting curve of the cam during a different work cycle, and adjusts the pivot lever to open the load-change valve slightly during a different work cycle. The intermediate element is prismatically guided on an element that can pivot in the cylinder head and is adjustable in its position, and engages the cam and the pivot lever, so that the stroke movement of the cam for opening the load-change valve via the pivot lever can be adjusted.

Abstract: An exercise device for improving physical fitness, includes a base body having several modules for supporting an exercising person. At least one of these modules can be displaced by the exercising person, by means of his/her feet, hands, or other body parts. The exercise device is equipped, in addition to its device-specific function, with an additional vibration function in which the vibration can be regulated in terms of frequency and amplitude, and is effective only on those components on which the exercising person is supporting himself/herself. Each module for supporting the exercising person has a separate component that is effectively connected with the body part of the exercising person assigned to it. This component is connected with the other components of this module by way of at least one damping element, and can have a vibration movement applied to it.
Abstract: The invention relates to a plug-in connector with a secondary locking device comprising at least one contact element arranged in a plug-in connector base element. At least one secondary locking recess is provided in the contact element, which extends transversely to the plug-in direction and which is engaged by a locking cam of a secondary locking element in the locking position of the secondary locking element. The plug-in connector according to the invention permits high extraction forces to be achieved and is especially well suited for use in high-current plug-in connection devices.
Abstract: According to the invention, in order to control the vehicle geometry of a chain or belt driven vehicle, chain alignment of the secondary drive is determined by means of a laser module (1) which is placed on the lateral surface of the chain wheel or the belt pulley and whose the laser beam is directed to the edge area of the chain or belt. Wheel alignment can also be determined, by arranging two pairs of circular segment shaped calibres (11), which are pressed flat against each other by pressing means (12) on each side of the rim of at least one back wheel and on at least one front wheel of the vehicle, and by emitting parallel laser beams (17) on both sides of one of the calibre pairs to the other calibre pair (17), the laser beams impacting measuring devices (13) which are arranged on both sides of the other pair of calibres. The dimensional accuracy of the swing and the front wheel fork can also be determined in a similar manner.
