  • Patent number: 6929440
Abstract: The invention relates to a particularly effective method for loading and unloading loads in a rack storage facility with several rack bays and aisles which are located between the rack bays. According to the method, a load is transported to a front end of a rack bay and at the front end of the rack bay, is moved in a vertical direction to a target level. The load is then moved into the aisle in a horizontal direction, at the target level. The load is moved in the aisle to a target location at the corresponding target level and then finally out of the aisle and into the rack in a horizontal direction. The invention also relates to a storage loading system for carrying out the inventive method. According to this method, several guiding elements corresponding to the individual levels of the rack bays are provided in the aisles. Moveable transport devices for receiving loads are provided on the guiding elements.

  • Patent number: 6927360
Abstract: The invention describes a method of continuously controlling and tracking a position of a welding torch (10) and welding head relative to a weld seam to be produced on a workpiece (16), whereby the welding torch (10), spaced at a distance apart from a workpiece (16) and the weld seam, effects a pendulum motion which is superimposed on its linear welding motion, during which state variables, in particular an ohmic resistance or a current and/or a voltage, are detected as they change in time. The lateral deviation of the welding torch (10) from the weld seam, in particular from the welding line centre, and/or the height of the welding torch (10) above the workpiece (16) and the welding head are derived from the detected actual values and signals in order to control and track the position of the welding torch (10).

  • Patent number: 6927735
Abstract: A radio antenna arrangement disposed in the conductive surface of a vehicle consisting of a substantially rectangular aperture having aperture length L and width B, wherein said aperture length L is sufficiently small so that the self-resonant frequency of the aperture is greater than the center frequency of the operating frequency range. There is a capacitive tuning element disposed in the aperture for tuning the aperture to a resonant frequency to approximately the center frequency of the operating frequency range. The capacitive tuning element serves as capacitive connection between the edges of the aperture, and is formed as a low-inductance element, so that due to the residual inductive effect, the remaining magnetic reactive power is as small as possible relative to the magnetically generated reactive power from the magnetic fields in the aperture. An input coupling element is also disposed in the aperture for coupling the antenna connection point to the resonance like high electromagnetic fields.

  • Patent number: 6923327
Abstract: An integrally injection molded container for merchandise, preferably bottles. The container has two shaped halves that are connected to each other by a living hinge. A closure fastener is disposed at an end of each half that is opposite the living hinge. The closure fastener secures the two shaped halves in a closed position along their outer rims. When in the closed position, an enclosed internal space is defined between the two halves. There is a set of upstanding walls disposed on an inner surface of one of the identical halves. These walls are molded to receive a bottle. Gripping projections are disposed at the ends of the upstanding walls. These gripping projections curve inwardly toward the area where the bottle is held. When the bottle is placed in this area it is releasably secured in place, preventing it from falling out of the container when the molded shaped halves are in an open position.
