Abstract: An image capture apparatus generates video data from captured images, and generates a video PES (packetized elementary stream) from the video data. The image capture apparatus converts the video PES into a MPEG-2 program stream, and converts the video PES into a MPEG-2 transport stream. The image capture apparatus records the MPEG-2 program stream on a random-access recording medium, and transmits the MPEG-2 transport stream to an external device. The conversion from the video PES into the MPEG-2 program stream and the conversion from the video PES into the MPEG-2 transport stream are performed in parallel thereby enabling the image capture apparatus to perform the recording of the MPEG-2 program stream and the transmission of the MPEG-2 transport stream in parallel.

Abstract: An object of this invention is to realize both stable clamping operation of a CDS circuit and an operation of draining unnecessary charges from a CCD. To achieve this object, during the storage period of an image sensing element, (A) vertical CCDs perform high-speed transfer or all the vertical CCDs are fixed to a LOW voltage, (B) a horizontal CCD is stopped, (C) the reset pulse of a floating diffusion amplifier is not stopped, and (D) a clamping pulse supplied to the CDS circuit is kept output. During this operation, the reference level of the floating diffusion amplifier is clamped. Stable clamping operation can, therefore, be executed during the storage period.

Abstract: The present invention provides an image management device and an image management method, both capable of easily performing comparison and reference of images in which taken images and processed images generated from the taken images are intermingled. For that purpose, based on the discrimination results of the attributes of the images by an attribute discrimination unit, an image classification unit classifies the processed images in order that the processed images may be mutually associated or processed images may be associated with taken images related to the processed images. A classified image list is displayed by an image list display unit, and images selected from the list are displayed on an image display unit. Furthermore, the image list displayed on the image list display unit is changed by classification switching by an image classification switching unit.
Abstract: The print schedules of a plurality of printers are managed. Status data of the plurality of printers are monitored. When any failure has occurred in a printer that serves as an output destination of print data as a result of monitoring, an alternative printer that executes alternative print processing of the print data is selected with reference to the managed print schedules. It is determined based on printer information of the selected alternative printer and the print schedule of the print data in the printer that has caused the failure whether or not the alternative print processing by the selected alternative printer is to be executed. The alternative print processing is executed based on the determination result.

A modify unit records the modified management information in the second area.
Abstract: The present invention provides an image processing apparatus and an image processing method, which can improve security and reinforce privacy protection for cache data and management data generated when an operator employs a browser function, and which can efficiently utilize storage resources of the apparatus. In the image processing apparatus having a browser function, data generated by an operator employing the browser function is stored in the RAM. Herein, it is determined whether or not the operator employing the browser function is a particular operator such as a system administrator. In a case where the browser function is employed by an operator other than the particular operator, the data stored in the RAM is deleted. Meanwhile, in a case of the particular operator, the data is stored in a hard disk drive (HDD).
