Abstract: This invention provides a technique for safely and readily managing a network device. To achieve this object, an authentication server (105) performs an authentication process by using a set of a login ID and password transmitted from a manager server apparatus (103), and transmits the authentication result to a multi-functional peripheral (102). The authentication server (105) also specifies a VLAN name corresponding to this set, and transmits the VLAN name to a DHCP server (106). The DHCP server (106) determines connection setting information corresponding to the VLAN name, and transmits the determined connection setting information to the multi-functional peripheral (102). The multi-functional peripheral (102) connects to VLAN 2 by using the obtained connection setting information.

A mount includes a seat fixed to a base, and a rotation mechanism portion that is supported by the seat and can change the orientation of the device relative to the seat. An adjustment jig is attachable to and detachable from the mount and includes a driving unit driven by operation. Abstract: An image capturing apparatus includes a calculation unit which converts shaking detected by a sensor unit into a shaking cancel amount, a correction/driving unit which drives a correction unit using the shaking cancel amount in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis, and corrects blurring of an image formed on an image capturing unit, a zoom position detection unit which detects the current zoom position of a zoom lens, and a center point change unit which changes a center point serving as a movable center of the correction unit in accordance with the zoom position set at either end of the zoom range, or an arbitrary position therebetween. This enables a position of a correction unit to be set which allows optimal image visibility and image blurring correction irrespective of the zoom state.
Abstract: An object of this invention is to provide an image sensing apparatus which shortens the photographing interval in single shooting and sequential shooting. To achieve this object, an image signal corresponding to an object image is read from an image sensing element to output image data by the processes of a signal processing circuit and A/D converter. An image processing circuit integrates the image data output from the image sensing element for white balance processing. An image display circuit performs processing of displaying on a display an object image during imaging on the image sensing element. A system controller so controls as to cause the image processing circuit to perform integral processing of the image data for the white balance during read of an image signal from the image sensing element, and cause the display to display the object image after integral processing ends.
Abstract: In an electronic camera, during a photographing operation for photographing a white sheet of paper or the like to obtain white balance data, a plurality of distance measuring points provided in an automatic focusing mechanism are restricted to only the one that is located at a central portion of the image plane. Further, a determination level used for determining an in-focus state in the automatic focusing mechanism is set lower than where an ordinary object is photographed. Accordingly, the photographing operation for obtaining white balance data can be completed for a short time. Furthermore, if the automatic focusing operation itself is inhibited during the photographing operation for photographing a white sheet of paper or the like to obtain white balance data, that photographing operation can be completed for a very short time.
