Abstract: A non-contact tonometer changes a reference signal used for determining reliability of a signal indicating deformation of a cornea based on the reflectance of the cornea of an eye to be examined. Thus, the non-contact tonometer can perform stable measurement irrespective of the reflectance of the cornea of the eye to be examined.
Abstract: After a first wireless terminal device transitions to a Direct Link Protocol mode, the terminal device transmits an ICMP_echo_request signal directly to a second wireless terminal device and, upon receiving an ICMP_echo_reply signal from the second wireless terminal device within a fixed period of time, counts up the number of times there is a reply. If the ICMP_echo_reply signal is not received within a fixed period of time, then the first wireless terminal device counts up the number of non-replies. As a result, the first wireless terminal device can readily judge whether it is capable of communicating directly with the second wireless terminal device in the Direct Link Protocol mode.
Abstract: The present invention provides a video camera which ensures that the user will recognize recording mode, thereby preventing the user from confusing a target recording medium. For that, the video camera 100 has a character information composition unit 3 which composites image data outputted by a signal processing unit 2 with predetermined information consisting of characters or pictographic characters to be recognized by the user during operation and outputs a resulting video signal, a liquid crystal monitor 4 which displays the video signal outputted by the character information composition unit 3, a magnetic tape recording unit 8, and a memory card recording unit 9. The predetermined information is target media information which indicates whether the image data outputted by the electronic camera unit 1 is to be recorded on the magnetic tape recording unit 8 or memory card recording unit 9. Immediately after start of recording, a system control unit 5 displays an animated icon which appears to rotate.
Abstract: A lens barrel includes: first and second movable lens units; first and second drive sources for moving the first and second movable lens units in a direction parallel to an optical axis, respectively; guide members for each retaining the first and second movable lens units and for guiding movements of the first and second movable lens units; and a reference position detector for detecting reference positions for the first and second movable lens units, in which: the reference position detector has light emitting receiving elements; the first and second movable lens units have sleeves each engaged with the guide members and have light blocking portions for detecting the reference positions by the light emitting and receiving elements of the reference position detector; and the first and second lens units can move in the optical axis direction, with their respective light blocking portions passing each other without any interference.
Abstract: A light amount adjusting apparatus for an image pickup which is capable of reducing the force with which a plate member and a blade member are held in close contact with each other and driving the blade member smoothly even in a high-humidity condition. The apparatus includes a base plate 5 having an opening 5a, a blade member 1 movable within a range including a position where the blade member overlaps the opening 5a in a light axis direction and restricting the amount of light passing through the opening 5a by overlapping the opening 5a, and a plate member 2 adjacent to the blade member 1 and having a cut portion 2a at a position where the plate member overlaps the blade member 1 in the light axis direction in a state in which the blade member 1 is at a predetermined position.
Abstract: In a bridge which connects between an expansion bus of a primary system and that of a secondary system, a local error such as an expansion bus error and CPU hang-up which occurs in the secondary system is recognized. The primary system is notified of the local error as a system error.
Abstract: The present invention provides a glove, in particular for housework, the glove being made integrally of silicone material comprising a main pocket designed to receive four fingers of a user, and a secondary pocket designed to receive the thumb, said secondary pocket opening out into the main pocket, the glove including projecting ribs or reinforcement on at least one of its inside or outside surfaces.
Abstract: A camera that has an acquisition unit which acquires an identifier via a cradle apparatus connected to the camera, a comparison unit which compares the identifier acquired by the acquisition unit with an identifier stored in a memory, and a camera controller which controls access of the apparatus connected via the cradle apparatus based on comparison results by the comparison unit.
Abstract: An image sensing apparatus, having an image sensor for sensing an image of an object and an analog-digital converter which operates at a predetermined frequency and converts an analog signal read from the image sensor to a digital signal, controls the relationship between a phase of the analog signal read from the image sensor and a phase of a timing signal for operating the analog-digital converter in accordance with the peripheral condition.
Abstract: A purpose of this invention is to execute proper smear correction corresponding to the image sensing purpose or condition without degrading the image quality. To achieve this purpose, the smear line signal of an image sensing signal output from a solid-state image sensing element (4) is stored in a smear line memory (7). The value of the smear line signal is limited by a limiting circuit (8), and smear correction is performed for the image sensing signal on the basis of the limited value.
Abstract: A digital signature generating apparatus generates a digital signature of digital data. The digital signature generating apparatus includes a receiving unit, the secret key changing unit and a digital signature generating unit. The receiving unit receives one of a first command and a second command. The first command includes information indicating one of a plurality of secret keys, and the plurality of secret keys are included in the digital signature generating apparatus. The secret key changing unit changes a secret key used by the digital signature generating apparatus to a secret key specified by the first command, if the first command is received by the receiving unit. The digital signature generating unit generates the digital signature of the digital data from a hash value extracted from the second command, if the second command is received by the receiving unit.
