Abstract: In an interrupt control system for a data processing unit for microprogram control including a processor constructed dividedly between an arithmetic unit and a control unit, a signal representing the absence or presence of an interrupt request to be performed is applied to the control unit so that said control unit reads a microprogram for the interrupt processing from a memory in response to said signal, and said arithmetic unit judges an interrupt source on the basis of the microprogram read out from said memory and performs processing in accordance with the interrupt source.
Abstract: Cadmium-tin oxide films are prepared by d-c reactive sputtering of Cd-Sn alloys in Ar-O.sub.2 mixtures. The films obtained have low resistivity of the order of 10.sup.-3 -10.sup.-4 .OMEGA.-cm and high optical transparency depending upon deposition conditions.
Abstract: A signal lamp apparatus with a lamp burnout detecting circuit has a right turn signal lamp group and a left turn signal lamp group which are connected to a power source through a turn signal switch and a relay contact coupled in parallel with a burnout detecting resistor. Each of the lamp groups includes a plurality of signal lamps connected in parallel with one another. The apparatus includes a comparator which produces an output signal when the voltage across the signal lamp group is higher than a predetermined voltage, and a device which produces a burnout signal when the comparator has an output signal after lights-out, for example, after 20 to 100 m sec since the relay contact is opened. With such an arrangement, the burnout of the signal lamp or lamps may be detected while the signal light lamp group is flashing.
Abstract: This PARCOR-type speech synthesizer replaces a ten-stage lattice type filter with a pipeline multiplier and feedback loop, and provides a loss circuit (for bandwidth broadening) using subtraction circuits for multiplication.

Abstract: A solid-state imaging device wherein a MOS sensor is employed for a photosensor part, a CTD shift register is employed for a read-out circuit, first and second transfer gates are connected between vertical signal output lines and the CTD, and a reset gate is connected between a juncture of the first and second transfer gates and a reset voltage line. A method is adopted in which signal outputs of a plurality of rows are transferred to the CTD in a horizontal blanking period, and signals of a plurality of rows are simultaneously read out in a horizontal scanning period. At the signal transfer, bias charges are dumped into the vertical signal output lines from the CTD, and mixed charges consisting of the bias charges and signal charges are transferred to the CTD. Thereafter, the signals are read out.
Abstract: A process and apparatus for dynamic or static perimetry of the human eye wherein topographical measuring threshold values of eye sensitivity for the eye being tested are obtained and are electronically compared with stored standard values of eye sensitivity corresponding to the testing conditions. An indication is provided of deviations between the measured values and the stored standard values. The apparatus includes a perimetry device, a computer for storing the standard values and at least one program for controlling the perimetry device and for comparing the measured values with the stored standard values and a display arrangement for displaying the values and deviations.

Abstract: An instrument for locating the position of hidden live continuous or broken wires utilizes an indicator such as a series of light emitting diodes to indicate the adjacency or the strength of the electrostatic field surrounding the wire. By watching the number of light emitting diodes lit, the instrument can be brought directly to the wire. The instrument is comprised of an antenna connected to the high input impedance of an amplifier, a low pass filter connected to the output of the amplifier, a lamp operation circuit and an indication means connected to the lamp operation circuit.
Abstract: Dielectric isolation through electron beam irradiation is applied to a method of fabricating a semiconductor device. Upon forming an insulated gate field effect semiconductor device (FET) in a semiconductor layer on an insulation substrate, the insulated gate electrode is formed to extend over the semiconductor layer region around a semiconductor region in which FET is to be implemented. A semiconductor layer pattern underlying the extension of the gate electrode is enclosed by linear dielectric layers formed along the periphery of the electrode extension through electron beam irradiation. The pattern formation can be accomplished in a short time by virtue of arrangement such that the semiconductor layer pattern is enclosed by the linear dielectric layers. Electric coupling such as capacitive coupling between the gate electrode and other conductor layers is significantly reduced.
Abstract: A lock for vehicle closures or flaps, especially doors, trunk lids and fuel tank caps or lids, wherein the cylinder of the lock includes a drain opening in the lower part thereof which communicates with the interior of the cylinder and through which moisture, especially water, can be drained from the interior of the lock. A drain line formed as a moisture absorbing wick provided with an electric heating element powered by the vehicle electric system is connected to the drain opening with the line being guided from the cylinder through an element, such as a door handle, containing the cylinder, to the interior of the closure. A water deflecting shield overlies the portion of the drain line within the closure. The drain line terminates in a vertically disposed drain section from which moisture drained from the cylinder can evaporate or drip off. The drain line may be operatively associated with a vacuum source on the vehicle to assist in drawing off moisture from the cylinder.
Abstract: An electronic controlled carburetor includes sensors for sensing engine speed, intake air pressure and water temperature. An arithmetic unit digitally processes output signals from the sensors and generates signals for controlling the air-fuel ratio of a mixture supplied to an engine on the basis of the output signals from the sensors. The carburetor system includes means for sensing atmospheric pressure and intake air temperature, and means for adjusting at least one of the amount of intake air of the engine and the amount of fuel. The arithmetic unit digitally processes the output signals from the atmospheric pressure and the intake air temperature sensing means to thereby produce a signal representing air density change and automatically controls at least one of the amount of intake air and fuel on the basis of the air density changing signal, to thereby control the air-fuel ratio of the mixture with higher accuracy.
Abstract: A magnetic bubble detector according to this invention is constructed of a bubble expander, a bubble detecting element and a bubble sweeper. Moreover, at least the width of soft magnetic material-elements constituting the bubble detecting element as taken in the propagating direction of magnetic bubbles is greater than that of soft magnetic material-elements constituting the bubble expander. As a result, the distances or distance between the magnetic bubble in the bubble detecting element and the magnetic bubbles or bubble in the bubble expander and/or the bubble sweeper increase or increases, so that a magnetic bubble detector of high signal-to-noise ratio is provided.
Abstract: First and second magnetic poles are provided, which have end surfaces brought close and in opposition to a material to be examined. These magnetic poles are magnetized by a DC exciter coil such that the magnetic poles have opposite polarities. The first magnetic pole is provided at its end surface with a pair of cumulatively connected transmitting coils, and the second magnetic pole is provided at its end surface with a pair of differentially connected receiving coils. The transmitting coils are connected to a pulser which generates a pulse current, and the receiving coils are connected to a differential amplifier. An electromagnetic ultrasonic wave generated by the transmitting coils are received by the receiving coils, amplified by the differential amplifier, and thereafter supplied to a synchroscope and an automatic detector.
Abstract: An elongated heater unit including an elongated resistor helix, terminals connected to the ends of the helix, at least a first surrounding metallic sheath, powder insulation material disposed within the first sheath and spacing the resistor helix from the sheath. The sheath is provided with at least one indentation and/or groove extending along at least a portion of the length of the first sheath. The method for constructing the heater unit includes forming the indentation by means of a roll with a protrusion, by utilizing a mandrel, by utilizing a temperature sensitive member or by utilizing a reducing sheath.
Abstract: A chroma signal gain control circuit is constructed to include a first band pass amplifier, a second band pass amplifier, a burst gate circuit, a switch circuit and an ACC detecting circuit. The output signal of the first band pass amplifier is fed to the input of the second band pass amplifier, the output signal of which is fed to the input of the burst gate circuit. The switch circuit selectively transmits either the output of the burst gate circuit or the output of the second band pass amplifier to the ACC detecting circuit. The gain of the first band pass amplifier is controlled by feeding the detected output of the ACC detecting circuit to the first band pass amplifier. In order to prevent over-saturation in case the level ratio (C/B) between the color burst signal and the chroma signal exceeds a predetermined value, the switch circuit will selectively transmit the output of the second band pass amplifier to the ACC detecting circuit.
Abstract: An automatic working apparatus having a route-controlled object to be controlled in respect of the route along which the object is moved is controlled by a point-to-point control system in which coordinates of three successively given bend points are used for automatically determining a bend angle at one of the given bend points and for automatically controlling the speed of the route-controlled object at the one given bend point as a function of the bend angle.
Abstract: Fuel oil containing sodium salt, potassium salt and solid matters is purified by separating the fuel oil into fuel oil and sludges by a centrifugal separating means, thereby removing the sludges from the fuel oil, and mixing the fuel oil freed from the sludges with water, and separating the resulting liquid mixture into fuel oil and water. Removal of the salts and the solid matters from the fuel oil can be attained at the same time very effectively with a reduced frequency of cleaning a filter or by omitting the use of the filter, with or without using an emulsion breaker.

Abstract: In a wire bonding apparatus in which, by identifying recognition marks of a pellet or leads displaced from a reference position in wire-bonding a pellet of a semiconductor device to leads within a field of view of a television camera, the displacements of the bonding positions of the pellet and the lead are corrected and then bonding pads on the pellet are connected to the leads by wires, the field of view is moved from a reference view position in a given moving manner, whereby the recognition marks may be identified rapidly and reliably. This apparatus is well adapted for the wire bonding of a semiconductor device of the DILG sealing type, for example, which is poor in the position accuracy of the bonding position.
Abstract: An air-compressing internal combustion engine which includes a cylinder block, a plurality of cylinders in the cylinder block, a piston reciprocably mounted in the respective cylinders, and a cylinder head disposed on the cylinder block. A precombustion chamber is arranged in the cylinder head and associated with the respective cylinders and a number of approximately radially extending burner holes are provided around a periphery of an end of the precombustion chamber. A depression is arranged in the head of each of the pistons and stellate depressions emanate from the depression in the cylinder head. Each of the stellate depressions ascend continuously in a radially outward direction and a further substantially axially extending burner hole is provided at the end of the precombustion chamber.
