  • Patent number: 5823444
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines with an injection port disk disposed in a longitudinal opening of a valve housing, which prevents deposits from forming due to evaporation of the fuel remaining at the injection ports after the engine is switched off. A gap disk is therefore disposed downstream of the injection port disk in the longitudinal opening of the valve housing with a slight axial spacing; the gap disk defines a recess in the axial direction which exerts a capillary action outward in the radial direction upon the fuel emerging at the injection ports. By disposing a capillary disk between the injection port disk and the gap disk, the capillary action can be optimized by means of corresponding contours in the capillary disk. The fuel injection valve is particularly suited for fuel injection in mixture-compressing engines with externally supplied ignition.

  • Patent number: 5823234
Abstract: A filling machine for filling liquid into containers (10) has a filling valve (25) for each container (10), which valve is actuated by a control device (19) by means of a trigger pulse (Z). In order to increase the precision of the liquid quantity (M (is)) filled into the containers (10) with regard to a desired fill quantity (M), it is proposed that the control device (19) adds up partial volumes (.DELTA.M), which are produced as a function of liquid pressures (P1) measured, the time intervals (.DELTA.t) between the individual pressure measurements, and a pressure/through flow characteristic curve of the filling valves (25). As soon as the sum of the partial volumes (.DELTA.M) has exceeded a limit fill quantity (M (max)), the control device (19) stops the trigger signal (Z).

  • Patent number: 5819707
Abstract: A fuel injection valve comprising a front attachment in whose wall a blocking element is displaceably supported; on its slide segment toward an air chamber, the pressure in the inlet tube upstream of a throttle valve prevails, while in the opposite direction the intake tube pressure downstream of the throttle valve is operative. If there is a sufficient pressure difference, the blocking element is displaced to the left far enough that it blocks at least one injection port on the fuel injection valve and blocks one guide conduit in the front attachment. As a result, only the one open inlet valve of one cylinder of the engine is supplied with fuel, via the at least one open injection port and the open guide conduit. The fuel injection valve is especially suitable for fuel injection in mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.

  • Patent number: 5819570
Abstract: A crimping station of a motor-driven portable crimper (A) has a movable head driven by a motor (M) to reciprocate straight towards and away from a fixed anvil. An automatic switch will automatically stop the motor upon detection of the movable head retracted from or having approached the anvil, so that the head and other members stand still for a while relative to the fixed anvil to allow the wire end to be inserted readily into the contact and then the contact thus crimped can easily be withdrawn from the crimping station. A manual switch is operable to restart the motor and resume the crimping process. A blind plate attached to and outside the frame is disposed near the crimping station so as to inhibit a user from erroneously inserting wire ends to the contacts which have not arrived at the station.

  • Patent number: 5810330
Abstract: A magnetic valve that switches at high differential pressures and furnishes a large flow cross section. The magnetic valve has an armature, which when current is supplied to a coil is movable toward a pole core counter to the force of a restoring spring. The armature is capable of opening an auxiliary valve of small sealing diameter directly and a main valve of large sealing diameter indirectly. The auxiliary valve and the main valve have a common closing body, which is movable relative to the armature with a limited stroke. The auxiliary valve communicates through a bore of the closing body with the outflow side of the magnetic valve. In the open position of the magnetic valve, the closing body is held in a position that blocks the auxiliary valve by the action of the second restoring spring. The magnetic valve is suitable in particular for slip-controlled hydraulic brake systems of motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 5788344
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic unit for a vehicle brake system with ABS. Before being filled with brake fluid, the brake system must be evacuated in order to achieve complete bleeding. In order to evacuate a return line, which is separated from a brake line by pressure reduction magnet valves that are closed in their position of repose, it is known to provide a connecting line with a check valve between the brake line and the return line. The hydraulic unit connects the check valves in parallel to the magnet valves and integrates the check valves with the magnet valves. This simplifies assembly. Since no additional holes and conduits in the hydraulic unit are necessary, existing hydraulic units can be used.
