Abstract: A fuel device which has a high-pressure fuel source from which a number of fuel injection valves, which are each controlled by a 3-way valve, are supplied with fuel. This 3-way valve has a valve member with a closing body provided with sealing faces that cooperates with valve seats and in addition, in its closed positions, defines pressure-exposed surfaces that produce resulting forces that are active in the respective closed position of the closing body.

Abstract: A device for measuring the mass of a flowing medium, or flow rate meters, having a measuring element accommodated in a measurement support; upstream of the measuring element, a grid with flow openings is provided. To attain a substantially rotational symmetrical velocity distribution even in the case of a severely impeded oncoming flow, the grid has flow openings, which at least regionally have a different flow cross section. The flow cross sections of the flow openings are adapted to the oncoming flow, in order to bring about a flow with substantially even velocity distribution downstream of the grid. The device is intended for measuring the mass of a flowing medium, in particular for measuring the mass of aspirated air in internal combustion engines.

Abstract: A grease collection container which is provided with an upstanding or protruding ridge along a pouring end surface of the container. The upstanding ridge extends upward from a lip along a front wall of the container. The ridge extends upwardly from the inside surface so that the ridge is along a back portion of the lip. The upstanding ridge may be formed along each of the side walls adjoining the front wall. The upstanding ridge prevents dripping of the grease due to pouring the grease from the container.
Abstract: A mobile cooking oil caddie which includes in combination features of heating, filtering and transporting oil for disposal into a disposal tank. The caddie is rolled under a hot oil fry cooker and hot fats can be drained into the caddie from the cooker. A filter screen is provided in the caddie for filtering the hot fats. If the grease is to be disposed, the caddie is moved to a facility in which the oil is pumped from the caddie by a motorized pump to a disposal tank. If the grease has been stored for a time and is not in a fluid state, the heater can be activated to heat transfer mixture which in turn heats the grease to a fluid state. The filter can then be cleaned of food particles and the caddie stored until it is desired to drain the fry cooker again for receipt of hot fats from the cooker when desired.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a shallow sea-bottom walking experience in which a plurality of guests are permitted to take a walk in the shallow sea-bottom with safety. A diving helmet is connected to a connecting hose which is connected to an air supply unit of an air supply system. A diving instructor is positioned on an auxiliary deck positioned slightly above the sea level in a normal state. The instructor allows each guest to. enter the sea from the auxiliary deck by using a ladder hanging down from the auxiliary deck. The instructor places a diving helmet over the head of each guest as they enter the water. The instructor guides each of the guests down to the shallow sea-bottom by using the ladder extended down to a portion close to the sea-bottom; and the instructor guides the guest to walk on the sea-bottom while holding onto a drawbar. Air is provided by the air supply system while the guests are in the water. An auxiliary air source is provided in case the air supply system malfunctions.
Abstract: A novel plug connector is intended to improve the capability of triggering a consumer. The plug connector has a plug which has three contact blades, of which a first contact blade is connected to a first cable connection by means of a first electrical lead element, a second contact blade is connected to a second cable connection by means of a second electrical lead element, and a third contact blade is connected to the second electrical lead element by means of a third electrical lead element and via electric components; one connection cable, leading to the consumer, is soldered to each of the two cable connections. The multi-pole plug connector is especially suitable for electrically connecting an electric controller to an electric motor.

Abstract: The invention is based on a reciprocating piston pump having two radial pistons disposed symmetrically to one another, which are drivable to a reciprocating motion by an eccentric disposed between them and are held in contact with the eccentric by a hoop spring that engages the pistons. For ease of installation, the invention proposes embodying the hoop spring as a bent wire part, with two open, hooklike eyelets on their ends, which ends are inserted into annular grooves of the pistons and enter into a snap connection with them in order to hold the pistons tightly against the eccentric.
Abstract: A fluid dispensing system comprising a tank for the fluid, and means for extracting a quantity of fluid from the tank and for directing the extracted fluid to one or more selected receptacles. The means comprises a fluid collecting device including a vessel having a restricted entry aperture, the vessel being for rotary passage through the tank. An outlet pipe is positioned exteriorly of the tank whereby, in use with fluid in the tank, during a rotary cycle of the vessel air exhausts from the vessel through the outlet pipe as fluid ingresses into the vessel through the aperture during a filling operation, and air flows into the vessel through the aperture as fluid is dispensed through the outlet pipe in a dispensing operation.
Abstract: A new process in which a valve closing body is produced with a predetermined inclination in relation to a longitudinal tool axis. The valve closing body is set in rotation and thereby carries out a precessing motion so that the tool body that rests against the sealing seat produces a narrow ball zone that always assures a sealing contact between the sealing seat and the valve seat face, even when a valve closing body is guided in the valve with guidance play. The process and the device are particularly suited for machining sealing seats on valve closing bodies of fuel injection valves for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines.

Abstract: A simple, economical brake system for small front-wheel-drive vehicles. The brake system has a hydraulic service brake system for the front axle wheels and an electric service brake system for the rear axle wheels. The hydraulic service brake system has a pedal-actuated master cylinder, from which brake lines lead to hydraulic wheel brakes. There is one shutoff valve in each of the brake lines, and each shutoff valve is bypassed by a line to a pump that pumps pressure fluid from the corresponding wheel brake to the master cylinder. The shutoff valves and the pumps, together with an electronic control unit and sensors that monitor the wheel rotation performance form an anti-lock arrangement for the hydraulic service brake system of the front axle of the vehicle.
Abstract: A fire safety device for an outlet of a shredder device. The fire safety device is positioned juxtaposed an exhaust chute and an outlet of the shredder. The fire safety device is operative to force shredded products from the outlet and to close off the exhaust chute to the shredder. The fire safety device prevents oxygen from entering the exhaust chute so that a fire cannot be sustained in the shredder.
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for generating high fuel pressure for a fuel injection system used in internal combustion engines in which via a low-pressure pump fuel aspirated from a fuel tank is delivered via a low pressure line and at least one valve to a high-pressure pump, and some of the fuel stream is diverted to the return loop from the low pressure line at or upstream of the high-pressure pump. In the low pressure line, an electrically controlled flow regulating valve is inserted between the low-pressure pump and the high-pressure pump. The flow regulating valve splits the fuel stream supplied. One portion is delivered to the high-pressure pump, and the remainder is relieved into the return loop. The flow regulating valve requires little space and only a few connections and is simple to manipulate.
Abstract: An apparatus for time dependent control of a regeneration time of an air-dryer. The control apparatus has a shutoff valve, which is disposed in a line between a tank that furnishes regeneration air and an air dryer that can be regenerated by the countercurrent method. For the regeneration of the air dryer, the shutoff valve is switched into an open position by a control pressure and is returned to its closing position by spring force counter to a pneumatic delay device which concludes the regeneration. In the pneumatic delay device, air is displaced through a throttle restriction in the form of a permeable membrane, for instance of porous polytetrafluoroethylene. The apparatus for time-dependent control of the regeneration time of an air dryer is intended in particular for compressed air systems of motor vehicles.

Abstract: It has been determined that a fuel delivery system with a fuel supply line and electromagnetically actuatable fuel injection valves produce fuel oscillations during opening and closing of the fuel injection valves and therefore generates noise, which is transmitted into the passenger compartment of the vehicle and annoys the passengers. In order to damp this kind of noise, at least one elongated, hollow damping body is connected at right angles to the fuel supply line and has a closed end. The axial length of the hollow damping body corresponds to 11/2 times the wavelength of the fuel oscillation to be damped in the fuel supply line. The length of the at least one damping body can also correspond to 11/2 times the wavelength of the fuel oscillation to be damped in the fuel supply line, divided by 2 or by a multiple of 2. The fuel delivery system is particularly suited for mixture compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.

Abstract: A tank venting device for motor vehicles having an internal combustion engine supplied from a fuel tank. The device includes a filter housing, which is connectable to a venting stub of the fuel tank and includes an adsorption filter, whose air inlet is occupied by a shutoff valve and whose air outlet communicates with an intake tube of the engine, and an air feed pump and a diagnosis device. To improve the metering capability for the regeneration mixture aspirated from the filter to the intake tube of the engine, the air feed pump is disposed with a reversible feeding direction between the air outlet of the filter housing and the intake tube of the engine. The air feed pump is controlled in its feeding direction reversal via a multiposition control valve such that the filter housing is located on the intake side of the air feed pump for the duration of filter regeneration, and on the pressure side of the air feed pump for the duration of error diagnosis.

Abstract: Multiposition valves are used for instance to interrupt a flow of pressure fluid that begins at a pressure source, such as a master cylinder, and leads to a consumer, such as a wheel brake. To that end, such multiposition valves have a valve seat, a valve seat closing body, an electromagnet which presses the valve closing body against the valve seat, and a valve opening spring, so that when the electromagnet is turned off, the valve closing body assumes an outset position spaced apart from the valve seat. To reduce noise production, especially when power is supplied in pulsed fashion to the electromagnet a further spring is provided that urges the armature in the direction of its outset position, so that when the valve opens, the armature can lead ahead of the valve closing body. The valve is advantageously usable in a hydraulic vehicle brake system where irritating noise production during operation is to be avoided.
