To reduce the expense and structure space, the device has a protective housing, which is composed in plug-together fashion of a metal bottom housing, a metal closure housing, and a metal plug part. The plug part has a plurality of leadthrough capacitors for noise suppression of the electrical connection line passed through the plug part and connected to the electronic control circuit.

To switch off the internal combustion engine, in the region of transition from the first control edge to the second control edge the assignment of this second control edge to the second oblique control edge is provided in such a way that injection ceases on account of an overlap with a control port.

    Abstract: A solenoid valve which guarantees the reliable opening of the valve, even when there are great pressure differences. The solenoid valve has an armature which receives a tappet, that can be longitudinally moved in the solenoid valve. A restoring spring, which transports the armature with the tappet into a closed position of the solenoid valve, engages one side of a collar of the tappet and a compression spring, which acts in the opposite direction from this restoring spring and is supported on the armature. The compression spring has a greater initial stress than the restoring spring. Pressure drops can produce a hydraulic closing force on the tappet, which force is directed counter to the magnetic force action.

    Abstract: A slip-controlled brake system for commercial vehicles with a hydraulic transmission device for which the cost of the system is reduced. Each axle of the vehicle is assigned a hydraulic control unit, with an electronic control unit, of a slip-control device for passenger vehicles. The hydraulic control unit has four hydraulic channels (K1, K2, K3, K4). Brake lines which connect a master cylinder of the brake system to wheel cylinders are routed in each case via two channels (K1, K2, K3, K4) of the hydraulic control unit, which are connected in parallel, in order to achieve a sufficiently large volume flow of pressure medium. Connected to the corresponding control unit are two wheel speed sensors assigned to the wheels of the respective vehicle axle. The control units are connected electrically for the exchange of wheel speed sensor signals. The brake system can be implemented in an advantageous manner on light commercial vehicles.

Transmitters of highly directional energy are installed at the traffic lights and/or signs while receivers for this radiant energy are installed on each vehicle. False warnings are avoided by transmitting at least two simultaneous coded signals from the traffic light/sign. A first signal, called a direction signal, indicates the presence of a light/sign while a second signal, called a status signal, indicates the status of the traffic light/sign, e.g. red, yellow, green, "Railroad Crossing", etc. The two signals may be transmitted using two different kinds of radiant energy, e.g. infrared and laser beams.

    Abstract: An electromagnetically actuated valve which achieves the setting of a reduced cross section of flow following a closed position of the valve. The solenoid valve has a seat valve which is surrounded by a sleeve which is secured pressure-tightly on a valve body. In the closed position of the seat valve, a tappet engages in the sleeve, forming a small radial gap. From the interior of the sleeve, a first pressure-medium passage leads to an end face of a magnet armature, said end face being remote from the seat valve. Outside the sleeve, a second pressure-medium passage leads to that end face of the magnet armature which is close to the seat valve. In the case of a pressure drop between the pressure-medium inlet and the pressure-medium outlet of the solenoid valve, the seat valve can assume a partially open position following a closed position of said valve since, due to the gap, which acts as a restriction, a pressure disequilibrium arises at the magnet armature and valve opening forces are compensated.

    Abstract: The swimming pool cover system is used for removably covering any type of swimming pool and for preventing objects or persons from falling into the pool. It comprises a flexible cover sheet having an outer edge removably connectable to locations along the swimming pool periphery. For covering the pool, the outer edge of the sheet is connected to the pool periphery and a central portion of the sheet is connected to a tautening cable mounted on a boom member extending over the pool. The sheet is then suspended and tautened above the water surface. The cover system comprises a sheet bundle cable mounted on the boom member for bundling up the sheet above the water surface when the cover system is in an uncovering position. The swimming pool cover system is very advantageous over other swimming pool covers because it is very simple and rapidly installed or removed. It may be very easily bundled up and stored away when not in use.

Relatively large fuel droplets, which cause an increase in the harmful components in the exhaust gas, can break away from the wall film. The inlet valve according to the invention has a hollow shaft into which compressed air flows via at least one inlet shaft opening, the compressed air then flowing out again from at least one outlet opening which is provided on one side of the inlet valve facing away from the combustion space of the internal combustion engine. As a result of the outflowing compressed air, an air film is produced around the valve head, which air film prevents condensation of the fuel. The inlet valve is provided in particular for mixture-compressing, spark ignition internal combustion engines.
