Abstract: In a torque limiter, a ball pressing mechanism is provided to press a ball by a spring into a round hole having a smaller diameter than the ball formed at the end surface of an input member of the torque limiter main body. Accordingly, it is designed to actuate accurately when the load torque exceeds a specific value. Furthermore, the constitution includes rotation limiting means for limiting the relative rotational angle of the input member and output member within a specific angle after the torque limiter main body is put in action, and positioning mechanism for positioning the output member in cooperation with the action of the torque limiter. Hence, the output member can be positioned accurately.
Abstract: A unit for delivering fuel from a supply tank to the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle in which an electrical drive motor, which is embodied as an axial field motor, drives an impeller of a feed pump, which is embodied as a peripheral feed pump. In order to embody the delivery unit as flat as possible in the axial direction of the impeller, the rotor part of the axial field motor is disposed on the impeller, which carries the blades and which revolves in a pump chamber, and is combined with this impeller into one common element. The rotor windings of the rotor part can be disposed either inside a circle constituted by the blades of the feed pump or on the impeller radially outside the blades; the permanent magnets of the axial field motor are accordingly disposed in the housing, opposite the rotor windings.
Abstract: An electromagnetically controllable valve has among other elements a guide sleeve that protrudes into a valve block, with an armature and a closing member movable inside the guide sleeve relative to a valve seat. The guide sleeve extends through a securing flange, which is inserted into a receiving bore, located on the valve block, and is fixed there. To secure the guide sleeve against shifting out of the valve block and the securing flange, the guide sleeve is provided with a radially outward-oriented bead. This bead extends within a region, for example an annular recess, that is associated with the securing flange. By way of the recess and the bead, the guide sleeve is axially fixed essentially form-lockingly and inexpensively. The electromagnetically actuatable valve can be built into traction-controlled brake systems of motor vehicles in order to vary brake pressures in the anti-lock and/or traction control modes.
Abstract: A method of ventilating vapors from a fuel tank into an intake pipe of an internal combustion engine in the upper partial-load range and in the region of the full load on the internal combustion engine, a regeneration valve is first of all moved into an open position and a shut-off valve provided in a ventilating conduit of an adsorption filter is then closed. The fuel vapors then flow into the intake pipe by virtue of the intake pipe vacuum and assisted by the vapor pressure of the fuel in the fuel tank and then burned in at least one combustion space of the internal combustion engine. The method according to the invention for ventilating a fuel system is intended for use in motor vehicles.
Abstract: A reciprocating piston pump element of a reciprocating piston pump having a piston, a cylinder with a formed-on cylinder head, an outlet valve which adjoins the cylinder head and an outlet valve housing that is secured in the cylinder head in order to form a structural unit. To reduce the amount of structural space required and to reduce the purchase price, the cylinder with the cylinder head and the region of the outlet valve housing enclosing the closure element are embodied in one piece, and in addition to a sealing ring, a further sealing ring of essentially the same diameter is disposed. As a result, a securing means in the form of a bead formed from the material of the housing block, oriented toward the outlet valve chamber, suffices to secure the reciprocating piston pump element inside the bore of the housing block. The reciprocating piston pump element can be used for space-saving, less expensive anti-lock systems in motor vehicle brake systems and can be expanded for traction control.

Abstract: A lightning ranging device which utilizes two frequencies in the field generated by a lightning discharge to determine range. The relative amplitudes of the outputs from two tuned receiver channels varies with distance from the lightning stroke. A two-dimensioned look-up table with two inputs and one output can be utilized to output the range. The original ratio of the amplitudes of the two frequencies can be determined empirically from experimental data and amplification factors on the two frequency channels are pre-set at different levels to compensate for this difference in the original energy level.

Abstract: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines having a high pressure accumulation chamber, which can be filled by a high pressure fuel pump and from which high pressure lines lead to the individual injection valves. Control valves for controlling the high pressure injection at the injection valves, as well as an additional pressure storage chamber between these control valves and the high pressure accumulation chamber, are inserted in the individual high pressure lines. For a more rapid pressure relief of the injection valve at the end of injection, the valve member of the control valve has a reaspiration collar, which additionally constitutes a throttle to maintain a residual pressure in the pressure line to the injection valve, which throttle precedes the flat seat valve, which opens the communication of the injection valve to a relief chamber.

The method comprising the step of separating removing water and oil by passing the air through a rotary brush prior before the air from the source of generating the fine particle dust is filtered with the laminated filter. The apparatus for carrying out the method.
Abstract: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines with a high-pressure fuel pump which pumps fuel out of a low-pressure space into a high-pressure collecting space which is connected by high-pressure lines to injection valves projecting into the combustion space of the internal combustion engines to be supplied, wherein the high-pressure collecting space is formed by a distributor rail resistant to high pressures which is integrated into the wall of a cylinder-head cover arranged on the internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A fuel injection system having a fuel injection pump whose high-pressure delivery is determined by means of an electrically controlled valve, which controls a relief conduit; the phase of the preinjection quantity supply and the main injection quantity supply are determined by the closing of this valve. To increase the precision of the injection, the injection system is provided with an injection valve, whose valve needle withdraws fuel from a damping chamber during the opening stroke via a throttle opening, which decreases with increasing valve needle stroke. Hence the opening motion of the valve needle becomes invulnerable to pressure surges, and the precision of the controlled fuel injection is increased.
Abstract: A skinning and trimming machine having a roller system comprised of three rollers, namely a traction roller, a stripping roller driven in the same direction of rotation and a cleaning roller that, like the traction roller, has a toothed surface that meshes with that of the traction roller, and in which annular grooves engaged by the teeth of a cleaning comb are disposed on the surface of this cleaning roller.
Abstract: In a method and a system for the ventilation of a fuel tank of a motor vehicle having an internal-combustion engine which has a suction pipe with a bypass containing, in particular, an idling adjuster, the fuel tank being capable of being ventilated into the open by way of a ventilation conduit having an adsorption filter and having a first valve located between the latter and a ventilation orifice, and the adsorption filter being capable of being scavenged with scavenging air which is supplied to the suction pipe by way of a scavenging-air conduit containing a second valve, to avoid disturbances of the operating conditions of the internal-combustion engine the scavenging air for the adsorption filter is branched off from the airstream flowing by way of the bypass.
Abstract: A vehicle brake system with a hydraulic brake booster. A booster pressure which is required for operating the brake booster is produced by throttling a flow of pressure medium which is supplied by a pump. For this purpose, a throttle valve is arranged between a pressure line which is connected to the pump and a return line which leads back to the pump, the adjustment of said pressure valve involves a building up of booster pressure in the pressure line by a solenoid, which booster pressure is applied to the brake booster. An electronic control unit which is connected to at least one sensor which outputs variable electric signal serves to control the throttle valve, the sensor detects activation of the brake pedal. For example, a pressure sensor which as a function of the boosting pressure supplies signals to the control unit which is developed to form a pressure controller and controls the throttle valve can be connected to the brake booster.
Abstract: A method for monitoring a system for delivering secondary air to an exhaust tube of an internal combustion engine. In the method a secondary air pump is switched on and builds up a pressure on the inlet side of a blocking valve which is normally closed and not being acted upon. The blocking valve has a valve closing member that is acted upon by a predetermined closing force of an elastic element. If the secondary air quantity pumped by the secondary air pump reaches a certain minimum air quantity and pressure, then with the then-opened blocking valve, a lambda sensor disposed in an exhaust tube detects a change in the lambda value in the exhaust tube that exceeds a predetermined threshold value. The method is suitable for monitoring the function of a system for delivering secondary air to the exhaust tube of an internal combustion engine.
Abstract: Each of trays forming a tray assembly has a main body having a recess for holding an article to be transported. Connectors protruding from a front and rear sides of the main body mate with each other so that the trays are linked to be flexible relative to each other. Elastic and rockable members formed integral with each main body have locking pawls capable of engaging with the article. Each locking pawl integral with the rockable member and positioned in the recess is always urged to engage with and hold in place the article, such that the pawls can be elastically retracted for an easier loading and unloading of the articles onto and from the recesses.
Abstract: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines having a high pressure accumulation chamber, which can be filled by a high pressure fuel pump and from which high pressure lines lead to the individual injection valves. Control valves for controlling the high pressure injection at the injection valves, as well as an additional pressure storage chamber between these control valves and the high pressure accumulation chamber are inserted in the individual high pressure lines. In order to be able to carry out a shaping of the course of injection at the injection valve, the control valve has a hydraulic throttle segment disposed at an additional collar on the valve member as well as a damping chamber formed between the collar and a flat valve seat, whose throttled relief delays the opening motion of the valve member at the onset of injection.
Abstract: The present invention will utilize refreshing braille pins to form the symbols displayed on a slot machine. The braille pins will move vertically and independent of each other. A read only memory (ROM) will send the information to the braille pin cluster that will form the braille symbol. At this time of conception of the invention, the play of the slot machine will utilize one coin per play.
Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines has a nozzle body and an outward-opening valve needle with a closing head. To produce tightly focused injection streams, the closing head has, in addition to a valve cone that cooperates with a valve seat on the nozzle body, a piston acted upon by fuel, with a jacket cut away by means of a recess and pierced by openings. The discharge orifice of the openings is axially offset from the valve cone, so that the injection cross sections, which are elongated and axially parallel, are not opened up by a control edge on the valve seat until after an idle stroke. A relief groove between the valve cone and the piston of the closing head assures a defined contact of the valve cone with the valve seat.

Abstract: A valve block unit comprising a valve block and a valve block lid is proposed, which to facilitate installation and to protect electrical contact pins against bending or damage is equipped with an intermediate plate that has guide openings. In a dismounted state of the valve block and valve block lid, this intermediate plate protectively receives the contact pins. The intermediate plate is subject to the force of compression springs, which are compressed when the valve block and the valve block lid are brought together for installation. The contact pins then protrude from the protective intermediate plate and enter the contact bushes intended for them. This assures safe electrical connections, designed for ease of manufacture, within the valve block unit. The valve block unit is intended for use in motor vehicle brake pressure modulation systems.
