Abstract: A reciprocating pump including a piston through which fluid can flow. The piston includes an inlet valve which presses a valve ball against a valve seat in a longitudinal bore in the piston. One end of the piston has a cap-shaped support elements attached thereto against which the inlet valve spring is supported and which engage around an end behind an undercut in the piston.
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting away containers, arranged in rows in a foil web having support platforms, which are rotatable perpendicular to the conveying direction and are surrounded by receptacles of a vertically movable die. To cut the containers away from the foil web, the die cooperates with a likewise vertically movable cutting knife. The support platforms have support faces, which have two different extensions offset from one another. If the support platforms are rotated with the die in the lowered position, then their maximal extensions form a gapless conveyor path for the containers, so that they can be removed from the apparatus without the danger of canting in the interstices between the support platforms.
Abstract: A copper foil for printed circuits of which a shiny side has resin dust resistance, excels in heat discloration resistance and rust preventiveness, and does not adversely affect the solderability and resist adhesion, and a method of treating the surface of such copper foil. The copper foil for a printed circuit comprises a first layer of zinc alloy composed of zinc and nickel and/or cobalt, formed on the shiny side surface of a copper foil, and a second layer composed of a mixture or compound of benzotriazole derivative and phosphorus compound (and silicon compound) formed on the layer. The method for treating the surface of a copper foil for a printed, circuit comprises the steps of forming a first layer of zinc alloy composed of zinc and nickel and/or cobalt be electroplating on the shiny side surface of a copper foil, and forming a second layer by immersing it in an aqueous solution of benzotriazole derivative and phosphorus compound (and silicon compound).
Abstract: A power-assisted brake system which can be activated by a pedal including a travel simulator and a desired value transmitter which is coupled thereto and a second sensor which can be used alternatively as a desired value transmitter. The second desired value transmitter is a pressure transmitter. The signals of both desired value transmitters are monitored in an electronic control unit for essentially corresponding signal values. If there is an unacceptable difference in signal value, power-assisted braking operation is suppressed. Braking is then possible by an emergency brake cylinder. The power-assisted brake system can be used for motor vehicles for passenger transport and goods transport, in motor vehicles which are equipped with an anti-lock brake system (ABS) or with a traction control system (TCS).

Abstract: A reciprocating piston pump element of a reciprocating piston pump having a piston, a cylinder with a formed-on cylinder head, an outlet valve which adjoins the cylinder head and an outlet valve housing that is secured in the cylinder head in order to form a structural unit. To reduce the amount of structural space required and to reduce the purchase price, the cylinder with the cylinder head and the region of the outlet valve housing enclosing the closure element are embodied in one piece, and in addition to a sealing ring, a further sealing ring of essentially the same diameter is disposed. As a result, a securing means in the form of a bead formed from the material of the housing block, oriented toward the outlet valve chamber, suffices to secure the reciprocating piston pump element inside the bore of the housing block. The reciprocating piston pump element can be used for space-saving, less expensive anti-lock systems in motor vehicle brake systems and can be expanded for traction control.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating and collecting fine dust particles from a gas including the fine particle dust from a source which generates the fine particle dust by introducing the gas to a filter. The method further sets forth the step of flowing the gas from the inside of the filter of a dust collector of cylindrical form to the outside thereof so as to filter the gas after removing an oil and water from the gas by use of a rotary brush prior to introduction of the gas to the dust collector.
Abstract: A venting device comprising connecting lines which are embodied as double-walled that form hollow spaces and whose hollow spaces communicate with one another and with an intake pipe by means of bypass lines. By means of a pressure sensor installed in a bypass line, the vacuum is measured; normally this vacuum must roughly correspond to the vacuum in the intake pipe and if this is the case, it can be concluded that the venting device is functional and tight. If there is a large increase in the vacuum measurement then it is concluded that there is a leak in the venting system. The venting device is particularly intended for use in motor vehicles.
Abstract: A tank ventilation valve suitable for metering introduction of fuel evaporated from the fuel tank of a mixture-compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engine into an induction duct of the internal combustion engine. The valve closing element has at least one damper element which protrudes through the valve closing in the axial direction and which forms a first damping surface directed towards the valve seat body on the first end surface of the valve closing element, and a second damping surface directed towards the electromagnet on the second end surface of the valve closing element so that an impact by the valve closing element on the valve seat body or on the magnet core is avoided or damped.

Abstract: An apparatus for checking a tank venting system for leaks that serves to vent a fuel tank of a motor vehicle whose engine has a intake tube. The apparatus has an absorption filter connected to a ventilation line, which can be closed by means of a shutoff valve, and pressure producing devices for the production of an overpressure in the fuel tank. The pressure producing devices are embodied as actuatable by means of the vacuum in the intake tube in order to be able to forego the separate electromechanical drive devices for the pressure producing devices which have been necessary in the prior art.
Abstract: A known servo-drive including a stator which is formed with two-component design or the exciter winding has to be attached directly to the stator, which is associated with a costly production method. The new servo-drive is to permit easy and cost-effective manufacture with favorable actuation properties. The stator of the servo-drive includes in the region of the poles, weak points which are formed either by recesses or by gaps. An induction core includes a winding which is inserted into a yoke constructed on the stator by which a magnetic field can be induced in the stator. The alternating combination of sheet-metal laminas having gaps and recesses permits the torque/rotary angle characteristic of the servo-drive to be optimized with favorable production properties. The servo-drive for rotary angle adjustment of an actuator is used for example to control the opening cross-section of a medium-conducting flow line in internal combustion engines for the purpose of controlling idling speed.

Abstract: A packaging container comprises a foil laminate comprising at least two layers in which openings are formed. The two layers are joined together over their entire surface area, except for in a striplike channel. A valve strip is disposed in the channel and in valvelike fashion covers the openings of the inner layer. If there is an overpressure in the packaging container resultant gas can escape into the open through the openings and the valve strip acts like an overpressure valve. As a result of the specialized disposition and embodiment of the valve strip and of the openings, a reliable escape of gas produced is achieved.

Abstract: A device for delivering fuel from a storage tank to the engine of a motor vehicle, having a two-stage feed pump driven to rotate by an electric drive motor. The preliminary stage of the feed pump is embodied as a side channel pump whose partially ring-shaped supply conduit has in its pump course a cross sectionally reduced region, which is constituted by means of a reduction of the conduit depth and in which the fuel flowing through the supply conduit is maintained at a constant pressure level so that the length of the supply conduit effective for a pressure increase can be reduced to achieve a quick increase of delivery pressure.
Abstract: A devices for measuring the mass of a flowing medium, having a temperature-sensitive measuring element, in which accurate medium flow measurement can be made in the presence of a pulsating flow which is characterized by flow fluctuations. In order to provide accurate measurements, the device has a structure which is installed in the measuring conduit in a region of its inside wall upstream and downstream of the measuring element. The structure has friction faces exposed to the oncoming flow in which the friction faces effect a flow resistance which can be varied by the intensity of the flow fluctuations, only in the presence of a pulsating flow, so that the flow is positively displaced more or less into the region of the measuring element, in order to increase the flow velocity and to compensate for the measurement errors. The invention is for measuring the mass of a flowing medium in the intake of an internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A travel simulator having a progressive pedal characteristic to be in operation in a power-actuated service brake. The hydraulic brake system has a valve assembly for the switching of the brake system into operation as either a service brake or as an emergency brake. The master cylinder has a pressure fluid reservoir, two pressure chambers, and an intermediate piston as well. The intermediate piston is supported on a travel simulator spring. When the service brake is in operation, pressure fluid can be diverted from the second pressure chamber into the reservoir, and the intermediate piston is moved against the resistance of the spring. When the emergency brake is in operation, both pressure chambers communicate with one another so that the intermediate piston is pressure balanced. When the pedal is actuated, pressure fluid is expelled from the first pressure chamber. The intermediate piston is not subject to any motion during an emergency brake operation. The brake system is for use in road vehicles.
Abstract: In a torque limiter, a ball pressing mechanism is provided to press a ball by a spring into a round hole having a smaller diameter than the ball formed at the end surface of an input member of the torque limiter main body. Accordingly, it is designed to actuate accurately when the load torque exceeds a specific value. Furthermore, the constitution includes rotation limiting means for limiting the relative rotational angle of the input member and output member within a specific angle after the torque limiter main body is put in action, and positioning mechanism for positioning the output member in cooperation with the action of the torque limiter. Hence, the output member can be positioned accurately.
