Abstract: A fuel/air mixture device for a dual injection valve including a single-part element which is suitable for various fuel injection valves without further adjustment measures. The single part element includes an envelope bush portion in contact with the injection end of the fuel injection valve in the form of stop surfaces and, together with this injection end, forms a narrow air gap so that the air is accelerated to almost sonic velocity and the fuel sprayed from the fuel injection openings is finely atomized. The device is particularly suitable for injecting a fuel air mixture into the induction pipe of an internal combustion engine with externally induced ignition.
Abstract: A pedal mechanism for a human propulsion vehicle such as a bicycle wherein the length of each of the pedal arm is increased during the power stroke and decreased during the return stroke of the rotation cycle. It comprises a pair of sun gears rigidly attached to the frame of the vehicle, each meshed to an adjacent planetary gear of identical diameter. A lever, radially projecting from each of the planetary gears, generate the alternative movement of the corresponding pedal arm. The levers also change the angular orientation of the pedal arms by moving them toward the power stroke zone, forcing the pedals arm to stay as long as possible in power stroke, thus giving the pedal mechanism no dead point. This pedal mechanism is very suitable for bicycle, especially mountain bicycles and racing bicycles where high power and efficiency are crucial.
Abstract: A system for avoiding the effects of jerking in the drive train of a motor vehicle driven by an internal combustion engine, comprising a device for limiting the quantity of fuel supplied to the combustion chambers of the engine controlled with the aid of a transducer for measuring the approach of two coupling parts of a coupling mounted in the drive shaft to the gearing system of the motor vehicle. If a value of a predetermined approach speed is exceeded, then the drive torque output by the engine is reduced, by reducing the fuel quantity, such that the coupling parts come into contact gently with one another. After that, the output torque of the engine can be further increased arbitrarily.
Abstract: A brake system equipped with an anti-lock and traction control system including first shutoff valve and a first inlet valve of a valve assembly for brake pressure modulation are disposed in a first brake line connected with a master brake cylinder and a wheel brake. Toward the wheel brake, a third return line having a first outlet valve of the first valve assembly begins at the first brake line and leads to a first high-pressure pump, which pumps fluid into the first brake line. On the intake side, the pump communicates with the master brake cylinder, through a suction line having a charging valve. For brake pressure modulation in the traction control mode, phases for pressure buildup, pressure holding and pressure reduction can be controlled with the high-pressure pump, the first shutoff valve, the charging valve and the first inlet valve, while the first outlet valve assumes its shutoff position. A first storage chamber connected to the third return line therefore remains free of pressure fluid.
Abstract: A loudspeaker component is bonded to a diaphragm formed of an olefinic resin, by applying an adhesion primer to bonding positions of the component and/or the diaphragm, applying an adhesive to the bonding positions after the primer has cured, and superposing the component and diaphragm. An air curing unsaturated polyester resin is used as the adhesion primer.
Abstract: In a system for controlling a chassis, in particular for controlling spring cylinders that can simultaneously perform the function of a semiactive shock absorber and are disposed between wheel suspensions and the vehicle body, at least one chamber of the spring cylinder is intended to communicate via a line or branch line with a pumping device, reservoir or the like for a pressure fluid, and at least one control member is connected between the pump device, reservoir or the like and the chamber. A control valve, which responds to a change in pressure in a shunt between the control valve and a line, is disposed in the control member.

Abstract: A hydraulic brake system having an anti-lock system (ABS) and traction control (ASR) for motor vehicles including a hydraulic unit with at least one control valve and a return pump having at least one pump element that is embodied as self-aspirating pump element and that is operative in a brake circuit, which contains at least one drive wheel. A valve assembly serves to furnish brake pressure in ASR and each valve assembly comprises a respective charging valve embodied as a 2/2-way magnet valve and an electromagnetic reversing valve. In order that a low hydraulic power requirement can be attained in traction control, only the valve assembly is triggered, and is triggered such that for pressure buildup the electromagnetic reversing valve blocks fluid flow and the charging valve is opened, while for pressure holding both valves block fluid flow, and for pressure reduction the charging valve blocks fluid flow and the electromagnetic reversing valve is opened.
Abstract: A fuel injection system for internal combustion engines having a plurality of fuel injection valves of the top-feed type and a fuel distributor, which has a distributor duct formed in a plastic housing and connecting branches, each of which accepts an end-face supply connection of an injection valve. For simplified manufacture and assembly and in order to secure the injection valves against radial twist, electrical plug jacks are integrated in the plastic housing of the fuel distributor to accept corresponding electrical plug elements of the injection valves. Two of the plug jacks are associated in each case with one of the connecting branches in such a way that when the injection valve is pushed into the connecting branch the plug elements simultaneously penetrate into the associated plug jacks.
Abstract: A structurally simplified 2/2-way shutoff valve having a parallel-connected pressure limiting valve. The shutoff valve has a first closing body that cooperates with a first valve seat. The first valve seat is embodied on a second closing body pierced by a conduit, which second closing body, under the influence of a spring, engages a second valve seat attached firmly to a wall which is secured to the housing. The biasing force of this spring is greater than a closing force exerted by an armature upon the first closing body and oriented in the opposite direction from the biasing force. The second closing body and the second valve seat form a pressure limiting valve, which is disposed in the housing of the shutoff valve. The invention is applicable to hydraulic motor vehicle brake systems having an anti-skid and traction control apparatus.
Abstract: A device for injecting a fuel-gas mixture in which the fuel stream is injected via injection ports of a fuel injection valve into distributor openings of a distributor line in a distributor housing. The fuel streams are injected in aimed fashion from the injection ports via fuel transport conduits into the distributor openings, which has an advantage of accurate fuel allocation to the various distributor openings and of maximally homogeneous mixture formation. The gas for the gas-fuel mixture flows out of a central gas delivery opening via a gas distributor chamber and via a respective gas gap to one distributor opening each, where it envelops the applicable fuel stream in which the gas and fuel is conducted to an intake tube or directly into the cylinder.
Abstract: A centrifugal speed governor including a control capsule. The control capsule includes a face-end part which is interchangeable and always has the same thickness (d). To enable making adjustments and to compensate for tolerances, the face-end has a set of indentations that can be made with various heights, in such a way that a middle part of the face-end protrudes outward, as viewed from a direction of the control capsule.
Abstract: It is possible in a simple manner, especially in distributor injection pumps, to attain quiet combustion in the idling range of a Diesel engine, without modifying the basic construction of the fuel injection pump by shifting the injection pumping to the last portion of the stroke of the cam driving the pump piston of the fuel injection pump for idling, by means of an injection onset adjusting device, in combination with a determination of injection duration via the closing phase of an electrically controlled valve that relieves the pump work chamber.

Abstract: An improve the pump including a reciprocal piston pump having a pump piston, guided longitudinally displaceable in a displacement chamber. An outlet valve for the admission of pressure means and a valve for the outflow of pressure means is associated with the displacement chamber. The outlet valve is embodied as a cup-shaped sleeve, having on the outflow side a sealing lip of an elastomeric material, which cooperates with a cylindrical sealing face. The outlet valve is distinguished by low opening pressure, reduced noise when closing and reduced machining effort. The reciprocating piston pump (10) is intended for use in hydraulic brake installations of motor vehicles with ABS systems.
Abstract: A twin-axle rail-bogie which incorporates a steering mechanism for positively steering one or both of the axles of the rail-bogie in proportion to the rotation of the frame of a structure supported by this rail-bogie. Steering is achieved by slidably mounting one of the axle end supporting assemblies onto the chassis of the bogie so that this assembly is longitudinally slidable and thus causes the one axle having one of its ends connected thereto to pivot forwards or rearwards out of its normal transverse position relative to the transversally opposite supporting assembly which holds the other end of the one axle and then acts as a pivot. An operating arm attached to the frame near the one supporting assembly is used for moving via a linking mechanism the one supporting assembly in such a direction as to cause the one axle held by this supporting assembly to pivot in the same direction but at an angle smaller than and proportional to the frame with respect to the chassis of the bogie.
Abstract: A device and method for injecting a fuel-gas mixture. The novel device has an advantage of a simple and exact adjustment of an annular gas gap. The adjustment of the axial extension of a narrow annular gap is effected by varying the axial spacing between the face end of a retaining shoulder on a fuel injection valve and the face end of the bottom part in the region of the annular gas gap of the gas enveloping bushing. The proposed device for injecting a fuel-gas mixture is especially suitable for injection into the intake tube of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine with externally supply ignition.
Abstract: The apparatus has a fuel injection valve with an injection end which rests on a bearing face of a stepped longitudinal bore. An annular gas conduit communicates with a gas source and an annular gas gap formed between the bearing face and a mixing chamber, and an exact, symmetrical, annular gas gap is formed between the injection end and the stepped longitudinal bore. The embodiment of the apparatus is especially suitable for use in internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.

Abstract: A speed governor for internal combustion engines, having a centrifugal speed transducer serving to govern the speed, acting counter to the force of governor springs, generating a speed-dependent adjusting travel of a governor sleeve, and equipped with flyweights, which transducer acts via the governor sleeve and a governor lever upon a fuel quantity adjusting device governor rod of the fuel injection pump. The governor sleeve comprises a first, inner drag member part and a second, outer drag member part, between which two drag springs are coaxially disposed, of which one drag spring is operative in only one direction of axial motion.
Abstract: A method for attaining a tolerance-insensitive connection of a conductor track foil with contact pins of an electrical component. The conductor track foil includes two insulating layers with an intervening conducting layer with lands in the upper layer for soldering the conductive layer to the contact pins of the electrical component. The conductor track foil is lowered, positionally correctly, onto the electrical component by use of a mounting device. The bottom insulating layer and the conducting layer of the soldering lands, which are free of an insulating layer on the top, are pierced by the contact pins extending at right angles to the conductor track foil. The conductor track foil is released by the mounting apparatus. A soldered connection is made between the lands and the contact pins. As a result, an electrically reliably gap free conducting connection is attainable even if the contact pins are eccentrically associated with the soldering lands.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for adjusting the supply onset of a fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, by means of which the injection onset is adjustable in several stages. A roller tappet provided with a hydraulic tappet chamber for prestroke variation is fixable in defined positions via a control fluid. To this end the roller tappet has at least one first control bore and one second control bore communicating with the tappet chamber and can be made to communicate with openings in a housing bore that receives the tappet. The control bores are provided at differing heights, and/or with differing diameters or are offset from one another, at least one of the these control bores is closable by means of a control piston of the hydraulic tappet, and the control bores are openable as a function of an engine parameter via hydraulic lines.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines which has a supply volume adjusting mechanism, being adjustable via a starting lever, an adjusting lever, and a tensioning lever. The starting lever is supported on the tensioning lever via a starting spring, and at non-operation of the engine, the starting spring is supported on a lever stop. To set the optimum amount of fuel to be injected at starting of the engine, which must be reduced at hot start, as opposed to a cold start, the lever stop is forcibly coupled with the adjusting lever such that the lever stop is moved by a swivel movement of the adjusting lever from a first end position to a second end position with the end positions being arranged so that the lever stop forces a starting lever position which in the first end position sets an amount of fuel on the supply volume adjusting mechanism as required for the hot start, and in the second end position, the lever stop sets an amount of fuel as required for the cold start.
