    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing and securing a screw in a preset position to prevent unauthorized adjustment. The screw securing means according to the invention makes it possible to secure a screw connection in a simple manner, in that a screw head of thermoplastic plastic, which is at least partly located in a housing recess, is heated to such an extent that it changes to the liquid state, flows into the housing recess, and at least partially fills the housing recess. By form-fitting engagement with the threaded pin and the housing recess, security against twisting, and also against being rotated without authorization, is attained. Screws in components that vibrate severely, and adjusting screws that must not be adjusted by unauthorized third parties, can be secured with this screw securing means.

    Abstract: A system which reduces an electric load on an on-board electrical system of a vehicle. The brake system has an anti-lock and traction control system. The latter has a high-pressure pump, with which pressure fluid can be withdrawn from a supply container and fed into a brake line. A charging valve that can be switched out of its shutoff position into its open position by a control unit is disposed in an intake line of the high-pressure pump. The control unit switches the charging valve into its open position at least whenever feeding of pressure fluid into the brake line is demanded. The brake system is especially well-suited to passenger cars, which have a very severely fluctuating rear axle load status.

    Abstract: A rotational control device for the setting of angles in actuators, in particular of a restricting device used for determining the flow cross-section in a flow line for internal combustion engines, has an electrical setting motor with a two-pole status and a two-pole permanent magnet rotor. To obtain a robust setting motor, which is technically easy to manufacture in a compact construction, the stator poles are designed as claw poles and the stator winding is located as a toroidal coil in a ring space formed by the claw poles and a ring casing which is coaxial with these, for the magnetic return path. The stator winding is energized by a d.c. supply, with reversible current direction. The magnetic resistances in the magnetic return path and across the claw poles are calibrated such that in the event of a currentless stator winding, the permanent magnet rotor engages in the pole gaps between the claw poles.

    Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, having a pump piston that reciprocates in a cylinder liner inserted into a pump housing. The pump piston and housing encloses a pump work chamber, and the pump piston has a control recess on its jacket face that communicates with the pump work chamber through a conduit. An oblique groove extends at a predetermined angle from the axis of the pump piston in the jacket face thereof and forms control edges. An annular slide is axially displaceable on the pump piston and includes two diametrically opposed diversion bores. To interrupt the high-pressure pumping to provide a pre-injection quantity and a main-injection quantity, first, second and third pockets are additionally machined into the jacket face of the pump piston. These pockets cooperated with pockets machined in the annular slide and with the control edge formed by the lower face edge of the annular slide to control the fuel flow.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to a shock absorber in which the structure of both the main valve and the pilot control valve is simplified, and makes their operation less vulnerable to malfunction because the number of parts moved relative to one another is reduced. This is achieved by functionally uniting the valve plate and pressure plate in an especially embodied novel valve plate, in the form of an annular shim with a fingerlike toothed contour of the inside circumference, which pierces a corresponding contour of an axial region of a stroke limiter, as a result of which a guidance of the valve plate quite close to the force introduction points by means of a spring or the openings to be closed takes place, thereby preventing unilateral opening of a valve plate. The relief piston is sealed off from the pilot control chamber by means of one gap seal and one sealing ring, so that the production tolerances can be greater and as a result an original-shape method without remachining is possible in manufacture.

    Abstract: In known equipment for injecting a fuel/gas mixture, having a fuel injection valve protruding into a stepped longitudinal bore of a gas distributor part, the formation of as homogeneous as possible a fuel/gas mixture and the fine atomization of the fuel are not assured if the gas envelops the injected fuel approximately in the flow direction of the fuel. The novel apparatus has a swirl element in the longitudinal opening of the gas distributor part, the swirl element having a mixing opening extending concentrically with the longitudinal valve axis; at least one curved, groovelike flow conduit, formed in the wall of the swirl element, discharges into this mixing opening. As a result, particularly fine atomization of the fuel and the formation of the most homogeneous possible fuel/gas mixture are assured. The embodiment of the apparatus is especially suitable for use in mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.

The injection valve has a spring adjusting sleeve and a stroke adjusting sleeve for the separate adjustment of the spring force of a restoring spring and of the stroke of the valve needle: these sleeves are disposed in a through bore of a valve end cap. The stroke of the valve needle is limited by a downstream end face of the stroke adjusting sleeve, which when the injection valve is fully open rests on an upstream face end of a fastening segment of the valve needle. A remanent air gap is left between the armature and the core. The novel injection valve is especially suitable for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.
