Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines comprising a pump housing, a distributor piston guided axially and rotatably, a rotating drive shaft supported in the pump housing, a transmission coupling the drive shaft to the distributor piston and a claw clutch and an eccentric disk rolling on a roller race with cams, and a lubricating oil circulation loop, which has a lubricating oil feed line discharging into a lubricating oil groove and a lubricating oil return line that returns from the transmission chamber which is partly filled with lubricating oil. To assure adequate supply of lubricating oil to the heavily loaded drive faces of the claw clutch, there is a flow lubricating oil through the drive shaft from the lubricating oil groove on into the claw clutch; via lubricating oil openings in at least those claw faces of the claw clutch that transmit a torque, the flow emerges into the transmission chamber.

Abstract: A liquid container hydrostatic level gauge, in particular a fuel tank level indicator, which operates with a differential pressure sensor, a zero point calibration related to the height of the fuel is performed upon the beginning of measurement, in order to dispense with a requirement for temperature independence and long-term stability of the zero point of the differential pressure sensor. A meter tube is disposed in the container interior, extending from above the maximum liquid level to as far as the container bottom with an opening for receiving fuel within the tank. The differential pressure sensor is connected by one meter input to the upper end of the meter tube and by its other meter input is exposed to the air pressure acting upon the surface of the liquid. Abstract: In a reservoir-type fuel injection system, fuel can be supplied under pressure by a charge pump to two separate pressure reservoirs and the pressure reservoirs communicates via separate valve assemblies with injection nozzles via lines. Abstract: The nail sustainer of this invention is used to be inserted into a hole formed with a board such as a plaster board, a veneer or a plywood which has poor sustaining force against a nail. The nail sustainer comprises tube means for nail insertion, at least one flow opening for an adhesive agent formed with said tube means, splitting portions formed with said tube means along substantially whole the length of the tube means, and at least one ring-like projection formed to project from a peripheral portion of said tube means.
Abstract: This invention is directed to a connection between a magnet valve and a housing block. The housing block has a receiving bore, which as the bore depth increases changes the bore into an undercut. A valve body portion has a shape adapted to the undercut, leaving open a continuous encompassing gap of constant width with respect to the undercut. A housing jacket that fits over the coil of the magnet valve is press-fitted into the gap. The jacket is longitudinally slit to form tongues whose ends undergo deformation in the undercut. The form-fitting connection is usable for instance in the hydraulic unit of anti-lock vehicle brake systems.
Abstract: A spring system for assisting the maneuvering of trailer ramps from a transport position into a loading position is provided. The invention is comprised of a spring mounted concentrically around a shaft about which a ramp pivots. When the ramp is in the transport position at rest on the back of the trailer, it engages and is biased against an end of the spring. The spring exerts force against the ramp thus reducing its effective weight which enables the operator to pivot the ramp into loading position with a minimum of physical effort. An arcuate tab having a plurality of holes is positioned concentrically around the pivot shaft. The holes receive a retaining pin under which an end of the spring is braced as the ramp engages the other end of the spring. By changing the location of the pin among the holes, the degree of stress imparted to the spring may be selectively varied.
Abstract: A venting device for a fuel tank of an internal combustion engine having activated carbon filters via which the fuel tank is vented. During the shut-off phase of the internal combustion engine, the activated carbon filters absorbs the fuel which evaporates in the tank. In the operating phase of the internal combustion engine, the activated carbon filters are regenerated by flushing air. To keep down the flushing air required for regeneration, the activated carbon filter is subdivided into two filter parts, the volume of the first filter part being dimensioned so that, in the shut-off phases of the internal combustion engine, the first filter part reaches a high level of loading. Due to a diffusion-hindering connection between the two filter parts, the second filter part only likewise absorbs fuel vapor after the degree of saturation of the first filter part has been reached.
Abstract: A fuel distributor for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines which has an elongate distributor housing with a plurality of location holes, made at axial intervals, for accomodating in each case one fuel injection valve, and at least one axially extending fuel line, which leads tangentially past the location holes and which communicates with the location holes via openings. Via the openings, the fuel injection valves are surrounded by flowing fuel, this serves for supplying fuel and for cooling the injection valves. To improve the cooling effect, flow restrictors (29) are arranged in the fuel line in association with each location hole, approximately centrally in relation to the opening so that fuel can flow around the fuel injection valves by almost 360.degree..
Abstract: A cleaning device for a tube of this invention comprises a nozzle supporting body fixedly attached to the insertion end portion of a cleaning hose adapted to be inserted into the tube in order to allow the cleaning device to be self-propelled and to allow a nozzle to be easily guided along the inner peripheral wall of the tube, the nozzle supported by the nozzle supporting body and having a first injection hole directed toward the inner wall of the tube, and an elongated nozzle guide member one end portion of which is fixedly to the nozzle, wherein second injection holes are formed in an oblique direction at the tubular portion of the nozzle supporting body so as to permit the cleaning device to be self-propelled.
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuable valve having an axial fuel inflow, in which the opening path of the valve closing element is limited by a stop rod device which permits a controlled opening stroke of the valve closing element as a function of a position of the valve needle. The stop rod is arranged concentrically with respect to the valve longitudinal axis so that the stop rod touches the valve closing element in the opening position of the valve and thus limits its opening stroke. The stop rod is mounted in a flow bore of a core of the valve by means of a displacement sheath. The design of the stop device is particularly suitable for fuel injection valves.
Abstract: A quiet closure check valve, including a housing having a valve seat toward the housing, a ball is associated with the valve seat to close the valve. The ball is received longitudinally displaceably in a recess of a spring-loaded support element that is defined by a bottom and a collar-like portion. Upon closure of the check valve, the support element rests on the housing, by spring action. The ball is lifted from the bottom of the support element and applied to the valve seat by the pressure of the fluid, in a manner free of spring forces. In this way, bothersome vibration of the ball is avoided.

Abstract: A distributor-type fuel injection pump comprising a mechanical speed regulator in which a tension lever and a starting lever interact as a regulating lever system in such a manner that they act in combination above the idling speed. In such an arrangement a quantity control element is connected to the starting lever and, in addition, this starting lever is engaged by an idling spring. A pretension of the spring can be changed, in dependence on operating characteristics in order to obtain a corresponding change in the delivery quantity during idling, for example with idling overload.

Abstract: The apparatus has a fuel injection pump with two partial suction chambers separate from one another. Fuel is delivered to the first partial suction chamber by a second feed pump. A feed pump is associated with the second partial suction chamber, and a reversing valve is disposed between the feed pump and the second partial suction chamber. To inactivate the cylinders of the engine that are associated with the second partial suction chamber, the reversing valve is reversible into a deactivation position, in which the intake side of the feed pump communicates with the second partial suction chamber and the pressure side communicates with the fuel supply tank. Fuel is thus evacuated from the second partial suction chamber by the second feed pump, so that fast inactivation of the associated cylinders is attained.
Abstract: In an apparatus for damping resilient wheel suspension systems in vehicles and the like having a piston/cylinder assembly, instantaneous, dynamic driving conditions are detected with sensors and serve to control the fluid flow through damping valves. The operative damping force at any time is controlled in such a way as to produce passive and active damping force components. Whenever the instantanteous course of motion requires a supply of energy from outside, the existing damping force is substantially nullified (semi-active damping). Separate options for acting upon the controlled pressure fluid are provided for the compression stage and tension stage; these options comprise the series circuit of two separate valves, one for each direction of motion (tension/compression stage). Four valves are thus present, with one each in the tension stage and one each in the compression stage for determining the active damping component and similarly one each for determining the passive damping component.
Abstract: A pressure-actuated valve which includes an effective pressure face by which the valve is opened, the face on which the pressure difference that opens the valve acts is completely independent of an openable flow opening. The effective pressure face and the openable flow opening can be selected arbitrarily within wide limits, independently of one another. The pressure-actuated valve according to the invention is preferably suitable for shock absorbers.

This feeder comprises a table; a continuous conveyor mounted on the table; a motor secured to the table for driving the conveyor; and a detector mounted on the table and connected to the motor via a relay for actuating and stopping the motor. In use, the detector senses the presence or absence of book sections at the delivering end of the conveyor, and then automatically actuate or stop the continuous conveyor to bring more book sections.
Abstract: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines having a fuel distributor which bears a multiplicity of connecting pieces with radially protruding locking collars and a multiplicity of fuel injection valves constructed as so-called top-feed valves, said fuel injection valves being inserted liquid-tightly into the connecting piece. For the purpose of fixing each of the fuel injection valves in the axial direction as well as for securing the fuel injection valves against rotation in the circumferential direction, in each case a connecting element is provided which engages in an annular groove in the valve housing and engages over the locking collar. In addition, the connecting element has two fixing elements which engage in a positive-locking manner around, in each case, one of the molded elements at least in the circumferential direction, said molded elements being mounted in a defined position on the valve housing and on the connecting piece.
