Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, in which for supplying a very rapid pressure rise in the interior of a fuel injection pump, a pressure control valve controlling this pressure is modified such that it is reliably closed upon cold starting of the engine. To this end, a control piston of a pressure control valve is acted upon on its back side by a restoring spring which is supported on one end by an adjustable stop, which is acted upon by the pressure building up in the fuel injection pump and in so doing seeks to bias the restoring spring. This causes a closure of an outflow throttle controlled by the control piston, so that all the fuel pumped by a feed pump remains in the pump interior and contributes to increasing the pressure. With the aid of this pressure, a very rapid adjustment of an injection adjusting piston (4) is effected in a direction of an early onset of fuel injection that promotes cold starting and warmup.
Abstract: A slip control system for a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle, which comprises a pressure generator having a plunger piston, which plunges into a cylinder filled with brake fluid and is connected to a rack. For the forward drive of the plunger piston, an electric drive motor is provided, which via a gear drive drives a pinion meshing with the rack. For the return drive of the plunger piston, a spiral spring is used that engages on one end with pinion shaft and on the other is supported on the pressure generator housing. The use of the spiral spring makes a short axial structural length of the pressure generator attainable. A grip roller free-wheel clutch is also provided in the drive train between the motor and the rack. The grip roller free-wheel clutch effects an uncoupling of the gear drive and the drive motor when the rack, at the end of the return stroke, strikes a stop of the pressure generator housing. This prevents damage to the gear drive and motor.

Abstract: A mass flow controller having a bypass portion provided in a body through which a large amount of gas is passed and a sensor portion, laid between a primary chamber which is an inlet of the bypass portion and a secondary chamber which is an outlet of the bypass portion, through which gas flows at a small flow rate proportional to the flow rate of the gas passed through the bypass portion and capable of measuring the total flow rate of gas by measuring the flow rate in the sensor portion. The body is partitioned by a bulkhead into a primary chamber and a secondary chamber. The primary chamber is provided with an inlet for gas inflow and the secondary chamber is provided with an outlet for gas outflow. The bulkhead is provided with a plurality of through holes for connecting the primary chamber to the secondary chamber, and bypass elements selected depending on the flow rate in the bypass portion are fitted in the through holes in the bulkhead.
Abstract: A manufacturing method of a superconducting material having the steps of: milling and mixing a powderly primary material in a casing of a dry type milling mixer; heat-processing the primary material obtained from the milling/mixing step; and again milling and mixing the primary material obtained from the heat-processing step in the casing of the milling mixer so as to obtain a secondary material. The milling mixer includes a casing for holding the primary material therein and friction-pulverizing mixing elements for frictionally pulverizing, stirring and mixing the primary material inside the casing. The two milling/mixing steps are effected under a high-speed rotation of the casing where a centrifugal force resulting from the casing rotation presses the primary material against an inner surface of the casing and a layer of the material formed on the surface is frictionally pulverized, stirred and mixed by the friction-pulverizing mixture elements.
Abstract: A hydraulic dual-circuit brake system with diagonal brake circuit distribution, an anti-lock system ABS and traction control ASR for motor vehicles having a four-channel hydraulic unit with control valves and a return pump. To achieve the ASR function, a third, self-aspirating pump element embodied as a high-pressure pump on the return pump is driven jointly with the return pump, and the wheel brake cylinders of the two driven wheels (HR, HL) are additionally connected--bypassing the control valves--to the third pumping element via a magnetic valve assembly. If at least one of the driven wheels (HR, HL) is spinning, the third pumping element is activated. The magnetic valve assembly is switched over, and the control valve for the slipping driven wheel is switched to "pressure holding". The brake pressure generated by the pumping element is thus fed into the wheel brake cylinder of the spinning driven wheel (HR, HL), and the spinning driven wheel (HR,HL) is slowed down.
Abstract: A hydraulic circuit for a fuel injection system having fuel injection valves, in which even under hot start conditions in an internal combustion engine, it is assured that the engine will start and continue to operate reliably. The hydraulic circuit is embodied such that the fuel pumped by a fuel feed pump into a fuel supply line reaches an annular fuel inflow chamber of a valve socket of a first fuel injection valve, and from there can flow through the fuel injection valve and emerges into an annular fuel return groove in the valve socket, from which it can flow via a connection to the annular fuel inflow chamber of the next fuel injection valve in succession. The fuel returns upwardly so that any air in the fuel will go upwardly with the fuel.
Abstract: A vacuum motor having a first chamber and a second chamber that in the actuation direction is disposed following a dividing movable wall, a third chamber is provided preceding the first chamber. Upon the occurrence of a traction control situation, the third chamber is moved into a connection between a magnetic assembly which is connected to atmospheric pressure and the first chamber. The second chamber is at the same time connected to a negative pressure source. By way of a pressure drop between the first and second chambers, an adjusting force acting upon a multi-circuit master cylinder is generated for traction control.

Abstract: A transfer apparatus for folding boxes including suction heads disposed on a carrier and for holding the folding boxes by negative pressure. Abstract: An electrically controlled fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, in particular for direct fuel injection in engines having externally supplied ignition. A plurality of pump pistons driven by drive cams at a constant stroke and each leading into one cylinder bore, pump the fuel that has been brought to injection pressure in an associated pump work chamber to injection valves. A plurality of pump pistons are positioned side by side, radially of the camshaft. The work chambers of the pump pistons are connectable via a rotary slide valve to lines which lead to the injection valves and optionally to supply lines for supplying fuel to the work chambers of the pump pistons and the rotary slide can be driven in synchronism with the camshaft.

An oil line leading to the hydraulic clutch includes a pressure increase adjustor for adjusting pressure increase characteristics when the hydraulic clutch is engaged. The pressure increase adjustor includes, arranged parallel to one another, a normally open first switch valve closable when a secondary hydraulic pressure exceeds a first set level, a normally closed second switch valve openable when the secondary hydraulic pressure exceeds a second set level higher than the first set level, and a restrictor. The first switch valve is urged toward an open position by a spring whose urging force is increased when the control valve is operated to a high speed range.
Abstract: An engine control device proposed for transmitting a control motion of an accelerator to an actuator of an engine, which includes mechanical transmission means and electrical transmission means with two clearances related to the accelerator. The two clearances are at the beginning and end of the mechanical transmission means so that the accelerator during normal driving can be actuated with particularly small forces, and at the same time reliable restoration of the accelerator is assured. The engine control device is particularly suitable for motor vehicles having traction control as well as travel speed control.
Abstract: In known electromagnetically actuatable valves having a connection fitting acting as a core and on which a magnet coil is disposed, the magnet coil is surrounded by a solid valve housing of ferromagnetic metal. The manufacture of this valve housing is very labor-intensive and results in undesirably large external dimensions. The valve enables not only simple manufacture but also a reduction in the external dimensions of the valve. In the valve, a plastic sheath surrounding both the connection fitting and the magnet coil is provided, which at least in the region surrounding the magnet coil contains ferromagnetic fillers conducting magnetic field lines. The fillers surround the magnet coil in the circumferential direction. This embodiment of the valve is suitable for electromagneticallly actuatable systems of all kinds.
Abstract: A pressure control valve suitable for liquid or gaseous media with a short force conduction path is to be created, permiting the use of plastic as a material for the housing. The pressure control valve has a chamber carrying the medium, which is formed by a housing element and a diaphragm. A seat valve located in the chamber has a valve closing element secured to the diaphragm. A prestressed spring disposed in the chamber at least indirectly engages the housing part on one side and the valve closing element on the other. The spring acting as a tension spring is in the form of an annular washer and occupies little space. The pressure control valve is intended for liquid or gaseous media, and in particular for use in fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines.
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a control device of a driving engine mechanically, via an operating element. As well as by a control motor in the direction of reduced output of the driving engine, independently of a control position defined by the operating element. The apparatus includes a restoring spring and a repose stop located away from the control device in a final control element. The apparatus is particularly well-suited to motor vehicles equipped with traction control.
