Abstract: An electro-magnetic on-off valve for controlling the opening area of a fluid line, in particular for fuel injection pumps, having a valve element constructed on a valve needle, said valve element cooperating with a valve seat. The valve needle is connected to a magnetic armature of an electromagnet, the magnetic armature moving in a fluid for the purpose of achieving high switching speeds, and being sealed with respect to the liquid-conducting region of the valve. For any purpose of extensive damping of the rebound oscillations which occur when the valve closes and lead to the re-opening of the valve, the connection between the magnetic armature and valve needle is produced by a coupling and which is designed in such a way that after the rebound of the valve element against the valve seat occurring when the valve closes, the magnetic armature and the valve needle oscillate in phase opposition with respect to one another.

Abstract: A method of controlling level lateral positions of a vibration control base suspended by air springs to be returned to its standard level and lateral positions and to keep their positions by utilizing analog integration or a feedback compensation in combination thereto so as to control an air pressure or air pressures of air springs for driving the vibration control base and also controlling vertical and horizontal vibrations of the vibration control base and an apparatus for carrying out the said method.
Abstract: A multi-cylinder internal combustion engine with an air intake system and an exhaust gas collection system has an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus for reducing toxic emissions. To operate the engine with a turbocharger and charge air cooler, the exhaust gas recirculation apparatus has an exhaust gas distributor, branching off from which is a number of end pipes corresponding to the number of cylinders of the engine. The exahust gas distributor is connected to the exhaust gas pipe of one cylinder, while the exhaust gas pipes of the other cylinders communicate with an exhaust gas manifold. The end pipes of the exhaust gas distributor each discharge into cylinder intake pipes immediately upstream of the inlet valve of the cylinders.
Abstract: An adjuster for an adjusting device which pivots about a pivot shaft, particularly for a throttle valve of an internal combustion engine. The adjuster has an electric control motor for pivoting the adjusting device and a safety restoring unit for moving the adjusting device to a defined basic position upon an interruption to the supply of power to the control motor. To produce the power consumed by the control motor and associated with this to reduce its structural size and weight, the restoring unit is embodied such that its restoring force acting upon the adjusting device is effective solely upon an interruption to the supply of power to the control motor.
Abstract: A brake system including an anti-skid apparatus with an electronic control unit for monitoring the grip of the vehicle tires on the road. It is also equipped with a yawing moment attenuator, controlled by the control unit, that in the event of highly varying coefficients of friction prevents an excessively great difference in brake pressure on the two sides of the vehicle. Tractor or towing vehicles driven without the trailer, especially semitrailer trucks, are difficult to control on road surfaces with variable grip, because of the major yawing and steering moments. The tractor or towing vehicle is therefore equipped according to the invention with a trailer detection unit, the signal of which is evaluatable in the control unit and can be fed as a control variable to the yawing moment attenuator. If the truck is driven without a trailer, the yawing moment attenuator can be controlled on the basis of this signal in such a way as to lessen the difference in brake pressure.
Abstract: A brake booster for a pressure-fluid-actuated, and in particular hydraulic, brake system equipped with both ABS and traction control has a servo piston that is controllable by a brake pedal, and an additional piston that is controllable via a magnetic valve assembly in traction control operation; to control a brake pressure in the brake system, both pistons act via a pressure rod upon the brake piston of a master brake cylinder. For the sake of a short structural length of the brake booster, the additional piston is embodied as an annular piston, which coaxially surrounds the pressure rod and is sealed off from it, and which rests on a radially protruding driver element of the pressure rod in order to displace it.

Abstract: An air flow rate meter, in particular for measuring the mass of air aspirated by an internal combustion engine, has a main flow conduit with a venturi-like flow portion and a bypass conduit, which discharges with an inlet and outlet opening above and below the venturi-like flow portion, respectively. A temperature-dependent measuring resistor is disposed in the bypass conduit. To avoid impairment of the measured value signal by an increase in the noise component caused by turbulence of the air upstream of the venturi-like flow portion, which unavoidably occurs upon deflection of the air flow direction, the inlet opening of the bypass conduit is shifted in the flow direction upstream of the deflection of the air flow, into a region of quasi-laminar flow with a constant pressure profile.
Abstract: A measured object support mechanism for use in an unbalance measuring apparatus for detecting vibrations resulting from rotation of a measured object supported by a measured object supporting member and measuring an unbalance of the measured object. This support mechanism comprises a slidable supporting device disposed between a base block supporting the unbalance measuring apparatus and the measured object supporting member.
Abstract: A magazine for flat articles, in particular folding boxes lying flat, including a horizontal conveyor apparatus for receiving a supply stack of folded boxes and a vertical receiving chute from which the folding boxes can be withdrawn in succession and delivered to a conveyor in an open condition. In order to keep the pressure on the lowermost folding boxes in the receiving chute constant, the receiving chute is refilled with folding boxes as needed from the conveyor apparatus, so that the stack height in the receiving chute remains constant. The transfer of folding boxes from the supply stack on the conveyor apparatus into the receiving chute is effected via a gap, through which the horizontally delivered holding boxes, resting obliquely, are purposefully tipped via rollers or via a support podium into the receiving chute at the transition from the conveyor apparatus.

Abstract: A hydraulic valve control with a (hydraulic) fluid reservoir allocated to a pressure chamber of a magnetic lifter, with a reservoir piston, reservoir, and reservoir spring, in which the pressure chamber is arranged between a cam piston actuated by the driving cam and a valve piston, the latter acting in conjunction with the engine valve, and in which the cam piston is configured as a hollow piston, in the cavity of which the fluid reservoir is arranged.
Abstract: An adjusting device for a throttle valve in a fuel preparation system of an internal combustion engine has an electric servomotor and a control device, which controls the servomotor as a function of engine operating parameters. For the sake of simple adjusting device structure, great sturdiness and a long service life, an asynchronous motor with a short-circuit rotor is used as the servo motor.
Abstract: A hydraulic drive control device for internal combustion engines, having a reservoir magnet valve for controlling a volume of oil in a stroke transmission chamber, in order to control a timing cross section of the engine valve, wherein the magnet valve is closed when without current, and the valve member, embodied as a reservoir piston, is loaded by a reservoir spring acting as a closing spring.
Abstract: A brake system with traction control, having a master brake cylinder for at least one brake circuit and having a brake booster is proposed. By operation of a pump, servo pressure is fed into the brake booster via a pressure connection provided on the brake booster, and the servo pressure reaches a pressure reservoir through a bore provided on the brake booster. From there, given a corresponding open passage position of magnetic valves, the servo pressure, via a supply line, reaches the pressure cylinder present in the brake booster, and in the pressure cylinder there is a valve slide that, via a servo piston, actuates a pressure rod leading to the master brake cylinder.

Abstract: In a known anti-skid control system having a brake booster, a servo piston is followed in the actuating direction by a restoring piston. After a partial stroke, the servo piston can reach the restoring piston and displace it. This arrangement is disadvantageously long. In the brake booster proposed here, a restoring piston is displaceably disposed inside the guide bore. This piston has a bottom and bordering on its a cylinder wall open toward the brake pedal. This wall forms a cylinder jacket in which the servo piston is displaceable. The servo piston executes a part of its working stroke at a variable distance from the bottom of the restoring piston. From the time of contact with the restoring piston, the servo piston executes a further working stroke together with the restoring piston, if necessary.
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for giving an alarm for failure to draw out an engine key for a vehicle. A key cylinder lock comprises an outer tubular member, and an inner tubular member rotatably provided within the outer tubular member. A magnet key having a magnet is inserted into the inner tubular member. A switch member which is turned ON when the magnet key is inserted into the inner tubular member by a power delivered from a power supply provided in the vehicle is provided in the outer tubular member. On the other hand, a door switch which is turned ON when the door of the vehicle is opened is provided. An alarm unit is connected to both the door switch and the switch member. Thus, when the door of the vehicle is opened with the magnet key being inserted into the key cylinder lock as it is, the alarm unit produces an alarm, thus to inform a driver that he forgets to draw out the key.
Abstract: A vehicle brake system comprising a hydraulically controllable 2/2-way valve, which has a first control inlet and a second control inlet. The first control inlet receives its control pressure from a first brake pressure source, while the second control inlet contrarily receives its control pressure from a second brake pressure source, such as a so-called return pump apparatus. The vehicle brake system can be used in passenger cars, vans, small buses, and small trucks as well as motor cycles.

A connecting member for connecting to one end of the hanging strips 7, a plurality of equally spaced operating members arranged at the connected end of the strip curtain and interposed among the hanging strips 7, each operating member is swingably attached to the connecting member for swinging or tiltable in a direction of alignment of the hanging strips 7, and operating connection means for opening and closing the strip curtain.
Abstract: A rail bogie for hooking with semi-trailers and the like road vehicles comprises a truck having a wheel-mounted chassis and a fifth-wheel frame above the chassis. Power jacks or inflatable balloons are mounted between this chassis and the frame for moving the latter vertically between a low and a high positions relative to the chassis. There is also provided a locking combination on the frame and on the chassis capable of holding the frame releasably locked to the chassis when the said frame has reached the high position aforesaid. The bogie also includes a horizontal fifth-wheel support mounted on the frame for pivotal movement about a vertical axis whereby to allow it to sway laterally and a fifth-wheel is mounted at the other end of the support. The bogie further includes an assembly automatically centering the first wheel on the frame when the latter reaches its high position.
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a control device of a driving engine which can be actuated purely mechanically, for varying the operation of engine as well as via a control motor as needed, independently of the mechanical operation in a direction of reduced output of the driving engine. The apparatus includes a restoring spring which acts upon a first driver element connected to the operating element. Since the coupling spring is not subject to tension exerted by the restoring spring, the coupling spring can be embodied as relatively weak. The apparatus is particularly well-suited to motor vehicles equipped with traction control.
