Abstract: A sinker mechanism which includes multiple knitting needles placed in parallel above a needle bed with each sinker being mounted so that it can rock up and down so that its tip descends between adjacent knitting needles. A yarn-catching hook is provided at one sinker end; downward pressure is applied by a spring that can be removed from and replaced into the sinker so the yarn-catching hook will drop between adjacent knitting needles, and this downward force is adjustable so the yarn-catching hook's position is a function of the tension in the yarn it is holding. The sinker is located in the cut-out portion of the needle plate with the capability to rock up and down so that its back end can be linked to the end of the needle plate, and that the plate and is configured so that an arm projects to touch the rear cam.
Abstract: The invention sets forth a movable sinker which is to be disposed on a needle bed of a flat knitting machine, employing compound needles. The movable sinker is provided with a cam abutting part, a stopper with a pivot hole between the cam abutting part and the stopper, a front tip part includes a guide part with an inclined lower edge which guides the knitting thread to a stopping part. The guide part is so formed that the knitting thread supplied at the time of knitting by this flat knitting machine is securely guided in the hook part of the knitting needle, and the stitch pull-in amount of the carriage at the time of forming a stitch is reduced.
Abstract: An air brake system having an anti-skid apparatus, which is provided with a switch unit including a relay valve and a magnetic valve device. In the region of the switch unit there is a separate flow line with which control pressure can be short-circuited with the brake pressure in a pressure maintenance phase. This largely prevents lagging of the brake pressure relative to the control pressure.
Abstract: In a known safety device, a relative position of an adjuster element with respect to a driver can be monitored, and a current path required for this purpose can be checked. To this end, two wipers must lift away from two wiper paths, depending on the position of the driver and adjuster element. Because of this liftoff, early wear of the wiper paths and considerable shifting of the switch point must be expected. In the safety device according to the invention, two switch lugs are provided on the adjuster element and a cam is provided on a base. This has the advantage above all of producing a safety device that is simple to manufacture and is durable. The safety device is especially suitable for power control systems for motor vehicles.
Abstract: A power strip including plug housings, in which first contact elements can be connected to second contact elements of an electrically actuatable unit. The electically actuatable units are movable with play in a mounted state relative to the power strip housing. In the power strip, one damping element is disposed between each plug housing and the power strip housing, and in engine operation this damping element damps the motions of the plug housing relative to the power strip housing or of the first electrically conductive contact elements relative to the second electrically conductive contact elements, and thus prevents excessive wear at the contact elements. The embodiment of the power strip is particularly suitable for supplying electrical power jointly to electrically actuatable fuel injection valves.

Abstract: A brake system having a pressure control valve assembly with an inlet valve in a brake line between a master brake cylinder and a wheel brake cylinder. The brake system is also equipped with a precharging pump and a return pump. A charging valve is disposed in a feed line connecting the two pumps. In phases of brake pressure holding and brake pressure reduction upon traction control, the pumping of brake fluid through the continuously operated return pump by the precharging pump is intended to be suppressed. When the precharging pump and the return pump are driven by a common drive motor, the charging valve, which is embodied as a 2/2-way valve, assures that when the anti-skid system becomes operative an exchange of brake fluid between the precharging pump and the return pump is suppressed. When the traction control becomes operative, contrarily, the valve enables pumping of brake fluid from the precharging pump to the return pump, but only whenever the pressure control valve is switched for pressure buildup.

Abstract: This invention relates to improved dollies for lifting and moving heavy objects such as furniture, refrigerators, and the like. It comprises a base plate having four casters with a top plate mounted thereabove. The top plate can be elevated via a pedal-actuated lever and link mechanisms to raise the load off the floor for movements and then lower it down. The invention includes a telescopic mechanism for adjusting the top plate with respect to the base plate and a spring to bear the main weight of the load to be moved. The lifting lever can be folded out of the way for load movement where clearance is a problem.
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines having a valve needle which works in conjunction with a valve seat to open and close a valve opening, this valve needle being activated by an electromagnet against a return spring. The return spring rests on a shoulder of an armature, which is fixedly connected with the valve needle, and on a setting tube which is guided in an axially movable opening in the interior of the magnet core of the electromagnet, and through which fuel travels from a fuel inlet nozzle to the valve opening. The valve needle stroke is limited by a cross link with a central stop point which is fixed in the interior of the magnet core. The setting tube is slit longitudinally in the end section facing the return spring and straddles the cross link here on both sides with clearance. Due to the cental stroke stop of the valve needle on the cross link, the valve needle stroke is always constant, even when the valve needle is not aligned with the valve housing axis.
Abstract: A known vehicle brake system having four wheel brakes, belonging to two brake circuits, for four wheels has an anti-skid apparatus with two electrically controllable brake pressure modulators, two wheel rotation sensors, and two brake pressure adaptors. The wheel rotation sensors are assigned to one front wheel and one diagonally opposed rear wheel, and each controls one brake pressure modulator, which belongs to the same wheel as the wheel rotation sensor. The brake pressure of a wheel brake located on the same axle on the opposite side of the vehicle is also controlled by a brake pressure modulator via a brake pressure adaptor. If only one wheel rotation sensor is provided per axle, only the wheel associated directly with the wheel rotation sensor can be braked optimally. The other wheel on the same axle may be overbraked or underbraked. This interferes with controllability of the vehicle and/or may have the disadvantage of overly long stopping distances.
Abstract: A shock absorber in which a damping force is to be adjusted separately for the tension and the compression directions in which the shock absorber is equipped with separate throttle valves, one for basic damping and one for supplementary damping. In the device, the adjustable parts of the two throttle valves are embodied in the form of magnetically controllable coaxial sheaths. This results in an especially space-saving design, the sheaths and magnetic coils which can be integrated directly into a piston (5) of the shock absorber. The device is used for damping relative motions of two masses, in particular in resilient wheel suspension systems in vehicles.

Abstract: The invention relates to a hoist for motor vehicles, with at least two vertically displaceable columns having on their upper end a support surface for receiving the vehicle, where in a retracted state the columns are disposed below the ground in a pit and the support surface is located approximately at the level of a shop floor. In order to make do with a reduced depth of the pit while retaining the same lifting height of the columns, the columns comprise an interior, vertically displaceable lift element supporting a deflection roller for operation of a cable on its upper end. One end of the cable is attached fixed in place, while the other end of the cable is fastened to a support pipe with a support surface which is vertically displaceable in relation to the lift element, where a sleeve, displaceable in relation to the support pipe, is provided which acts as a telescopic guide when the column is extended.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for knitting a pocket on a knit type of clothing such as a sweater. The apparatus includes a flat knitting machine having multiple front and back knitting needles operational in parallel. The pocket is knitted by the front and rear needles by knitting a portion of the pocket with some needles and then transferring the stitches to other needles for knitting other parts of the pocket.
Abstract: A control change system for a hydraulic working vehicle having a plurality of hydraulic actuators operable by control levers each shiftable to a plurality of control positions. This system includes a plurality of pilot-operated control valves for controlling pressure oil supply to the hydraulic actuators, respectively, pilot pressure generating valves for generating a pilot pressure in accordance with the control positions of the control levers, and a pilot pressure switching unit for receiving the pilot pressure from the pilot pressure generating valves and outputting the pilot pressure selectively to the control valves. The pilot pressure switching unit includes a plurality of spools slidable to change communicating passages between a pilot pressure input section and a pilot pressure output section of the switching unit.
Abstract: A vehicle brake system having at least two brake pressure lines, via which a master brake cylinder communicates with wheel brake cylinders, at least one valve is incorporated in each brake pressure line to close the brake pressure lines in the event of anti-skid control. Each brake pressure line is also assigned a return pump, which bypasses the valve. At least one valve, in the currentless state or with the absence of pressure buildup in a brake pressure line, blocks this brake pressure line and communicates with a control unit for pulsed opening upon pressure buildup in the brake pressure line. Because of the additional disposition of a pressure valve and check valve in a bypass around the pulsed valve, expensive pressure reducers are dispensed with, with little additional expense in the anti-skid control system. Even if the anti-skid control system fails, stability during braking is assured.

Abstract: A frame structure for connecting working implements to a vehicle body having right and left main frames extending parallel to each other longitudinally of the vehicle body. The main frames are divided into upper front frames and lower rear frames which are interconnected through an intermediate connecting section. The front and rear frames have different heights to lower the center of gravity of the rear section of the vehicle body for promoting stability of vehicle control without impairing the steering function of front wheels. A cross support member is connected to bottom surfaces of the main frames in the region of the intermediate connecting section. This support member has opposite ends thereof extending laterally outwardly of the main frames. Outward extension of the cross support member include connecting elements for working implements. These connecting elements and the front frames are used as supporting connections for connecting working implements such as a front loader and a mower unit.
Abstract: A work cylinder in which the position of a work piston, its distance traveled at a given time and the speed at which it covers this distance are measured by a hollow-cylindrical sensor, and the results are delivered to an electronic switch device. The sensor serves as a passage for the breathing air of a breathing chamber of the work cylinder, as a result of which the sensor can be cooled. The work cylinder is intended for use to control vehicle engine clutches.
Abstract: The invention seeks to reduce structure-borne sound emissions of the reciprocating piston pump. The reciprocating pump is includes an outlet valve, which has a valve seat and a valve closing body that is received in a hollow space and is loaded by a closing spring. One outlet bore radially originates at the circumferential region of the valve seat and branches off from the hollow space. The opening of the outlet bore toward the hollow space extends at least approximately between the valve seat and the end toward the closing spring of the gap of least cross section, which is formed between the valve closing body and the inside circumference of the hollow space. As a result, a slowed opening motion of the valve closing element is attained, in which opening motion an opening gap opens up that has its largest flow cross section in the region of the outlet bore.

Abstract: A hydraulic dual-circuit brake system, with an anti-skid system (ABS) and traction control (ASR) for motor vehicles having a four-channel hydraulic unit with control valves, a return pump with two separate pump elements for each brake circuit, and two low-pressure reservoirs connected to the inlets of the pump elements. For supplying brake pressure in the traction control mode, at least one brake fluid reservoir is provided, which communicates with a pump element assigned to a brake circuit having at least one driven wheel, and a reversing valve is disposed in each connecting line between the master brake cylinder and the outlet of such a pump element.
Abstract: In a brake system having a master brake cylinder, in which at least one brake piston, which can be acted upon with brake pressure by a piston rod, forms a brake chamber from which a brake line leads to wheel brake cylinders, at least one valve is incorporated into the brake line for blocking the brake line upon anti-skid control, and at least one pressure chamber, formed by an additional piston, of an additional plunger for feeding brake fluid via a line communicates with the brake line. From the brake line upstream of the valve, a return line for the brake fluid upon anti-skid control leads to the brake chamber of the additional plunger. A valve, in particular a 2/2-way valve, is incorporated into the return line.
