Abstract: A brake system including an apparatus for limiting drive slip at drivable vehicle wheels by feeding brake pressure into wheel brakes associated with these vehicle wheels. The brake pressure is generated in a pressure modulator having a spring-loaded stepped piston including a primary piston. The primary piston can be acted upon by pressure fuid from a supply container by a motor which drives a pump. A secondary piston of the stepped piston effects the brake pressure and feeds it via a valve assembly into a brake line extending between the master brake cylinder of the brake system and a wheel brake. The brake pressure can be diminished by controlling the drive motor of the pump. The pump is embodied with reversible pumping directions, and the pressure fluid flows through it both during a working stroke and a return stroke of the stepped piston. The valve assembly is actuatable by the stepped piston as a function of the position thereof.

Abstract: An active control precision damping table supported by air springs. Level displacement and vibrations of the table are detected by a sensor or sensors, and sensor outputs are fed to a variation adder which carries out an adding operation on one of the sensor outputs and an inversion signal produced by inverting the other sensor output 180 degrees. The adder outputs results of the operation to a drive circuit, which in turn outputs a drive signal to a control valve. The control valve is operable in response to the drive signal to adjust air pressure in pressure vessels of the air springs.
Abstract: An hydraulic dual-circuit brake system with an anti-skid system (ABS) and traction control (ASR) for motor vehicles has a four-channel hydraulic unit with electromagnetic control valves and a return pump with two separate pumping elements for each brake circuit. To supply brake pressure in traction control operation, an additional hydraulic unit is provided, which portions of connect the fluid tank to the return pump and switch the alternating connection of the outlet of the return pump to the master brake cylinder or to the brake fluid tank. For a rapid reduction of brake pressure in the wheel brake cylinders of the driven wheels at the onset of braking during traction control operation, the switch portion has at least one 3/3-way magnetic valve with a pressure limiting valve disposed in a valve bypass.
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve is proposed, which serves in particular to inject into the intake tube a mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally-supplied ignition. The valve includes a flat armature which is firmly connected with a ball arranged to cooperate with a fixed valve seat. The flat armature is pivotably supported on its end remote from the valve seat on a spring tongue preferably embodied out of a remnant air disc. A tubular inflow stub is disposed concentrically to the valve axis, communicating on one end with a fuel distributor line and on the other end protruding as deeply as possible into the valve. A tubular outlet stub leading away from the valve seat is concentrically guided in the inlet stub, and arranged to have its end remote from the valve seat discharge into a fuel return flow line. As a result, a cooling of the valve and the return of heated fuel which contains vapor bubbles to its supply source is assured.

Abstract: An apparatus for taking folded flat blanks out of a magazine and transferring them to a conveyor apparatus of a box-making machine is disposed between the vertically oriented magazine and the conveyor apparatus extending horizontally beneath it at some distance therefrom. The apparatus has three suction cups offset by 120.degree., on a star-shaped rotor which travel over a self-contained cycloid path (C) having four reversal points (F, G, H, I) and concave arcs between them. This cycloid path is generated by a revolving crank that rotatably supports the rotor with an eccentricity (E) and by a planetary gear associated with the crank, the sun gear of which is disposed coaxially with the axis of rotation of the crank, and the planet gear of which is firmly connected coaxially to the rotor; an intermediate gear is incorporated between the sun gear and the planet gear.

Abstract: A system for transferring a control position of a set-point value transducer between the gas pedal and the throttle valve. The system includes an electromechanical device which can adjust a throttle valve out of its position of reponse in opposite directions. This is attained by an intermediate element, which is capable of coming to rest on a repose-position stop. The system is particularly well suited to motor vehicles having traction and/or cruise control.
Abstract: A bicycle pedal including clamping device for fastening an engageable article to the pedal. The clamping device comprises a clamp member including an engaging hook pivotable toward and away from one end of a pedal body for engaging the engageable article, and an urging member for urging the hook toward the pedal body. When the engageable article is moved sideways relative to the pedal body, the hook pivots away from the pedal body to release the engageable article. The clamping device further comprises an upward pull selector for selectively allowing the hook to pivot away from the pedal body when the engageable article is pulled upwardly relative to the pedal body. This selector is switchable between a position for prohibiting the engageable article from being pulled upward, thereby avoiding a danger resulting from disengagement of the engageable article from the pedal body, and a position for allowing the engageable article to be pulled upward with ease.
Abstract: The invention relates to a torque measuring instrument including first and second parts that rotate relative to one another upon torque transmission, the relative rotation of which is transformed by forklike levers into an axial displacement of an adjusting ring. The forklike lever is combined with the first and second parts into a single cast part.
Abstract: The vehicle brake system has a master brake cylinder to generate brake pressure in at least one wheel brake. To avoid wheel locking during braking, a pressure control valve assembly and a pump for drawing pressure fluid out of the wheel brake are disposed between the master brake cylinder and the wheel brake. With its outlet, the pump communicates with the master brake cylinder via a damper chamber and a throttle having a pressure limiting valve disposed to bypass the throttle. The throttle and the pressure limiting valve have a common sleevelike housing, in which a cylindrically embodiment closing element is guided longitudinally movably. This closing element has a hollow collar on its face end that in the closing position fits over an inflow opening for pressure fluid. The collar of the closing element, in order to form the throttle, is provided with at least one aperture open toward this face end.
Abstract: A valve for the intermittent introduction of fuel, in particular gaseous fuel, into an intake tube of an internal combustion engine, which is provided with an electrically actuatable valve member disposed in a valve housing. The valve comprises a slide valve having a substantially cosine-like metering motion, and a metering conduit that opens only after a predetermined portion of the metering motion beyond a position of repose of the valve member is provided. As a result, the control edges are overtaken very fast, and a steep rise or drop in the insufflated fuel quantity takes place. A good approximation to the ideal course, which is equivalent to the course of the aspirated air quantity, is therefore achieved.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an emergency escape unit to be used in case of an emergency such as a fire, an earthquake or the like, such that the user safely escapes from a high building with the use of this escape unit. In the emergency escape unit of the present invention, a light-weight gas such as helium, air or the like, filled in a bomb may be quickly released into a sack-like canopy, causing the canopy to be expanded in the form of an umbrella, so that the air resistance during descent is quickly increased, enabling the user to fall slowly. When helium is used as the light-weight gas to be released into the sack-like canopy, provision is made such that buoyancy is generated.
Abstract: A method of percutaneously removing a thrombus from a blood vessel by using catheters and thrombus removing system for executing the method. A guide wire catheter includes a first balloon inflatable for blocking the blood vessel at a position downstream of the thrombus. A suction catheter includes a second balloon inflatable for substantially blocking the blood vessel at a position upstream of the thrombus. A thrombus dissolving agent is supplied to a position between the first and second balloons, and dissolved thrombus is drawn through the suction catheter out of the body. An expansion catheter having a third balloon is used to expand, while allowing blood flows, a location of stricture remaining after removal of the dissolved thrombus.
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve is proposed that serves in particular as a fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines. An armature cooperates with magnet poles, and a bearing cone the length of the generatrix of which is approximately equivalent to the diameter is machined into a valve seat body. The armature and valve seat body may also have bearing faces of calotte shape facing one another.

Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting an angular rotational relationship of a camshaft, serving in particular to actuate gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine, with respect to its drive element, which apparatus has two control motors acting counter to one another, the mutually corresponding movable walls of which are coupled to one another, wherein to reduce an expense for furnishing control fluid and generating pressure in this control fluid the work chambers of the control motors are on the one hand both connected via a respective check valve, to a control fluid pressure source and on the other hand can be made to communicate selectively with one another directly via a control valve or can be disconnected from one another via this valve, so that torque fluctuations of the camshaft are exploited for generating pressure in one of the work chambers at a time and the resultant pressure is exploited purposefully at certain times for adjustment with subsequent relocking of the work chambers.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a one part moisture cure sealant which is cured under an ordinary temperature by reaction with moisture contained in the air. This sealant contains a cure accelerating catalyst of: ##STR1## in a sealing composite containing urethane prepolymer. Due to the action of this catalyst, not only the cure rate is improved but difference in the cure rate between a low-temperature/low-humidity season and a high-temperature/high-humidity season is reduced. This sealant is also excellent in storage stability.

The rotor is rotatably supported as a planet part in a rotating planet carrier and upon revolving is additionally rotated about its shaft by a planetary gear. In this process the suction cups travel over a self-contained cycloid path (C) having four reversal points (F, G, H, I) and intervening concave arcs. For acting upon the articles, for instance pressing on a foldable box or rotating it about a transverse axis, a cam disk is rotatable supported on the shaft of the rotor and is hindered from rotating with the rotor by being coupled to a rocker arm supported in stationary fashion. A lever guided by a roller in the cam race acts upon a pivotable pressing prong or upon the rotatably supported suction cup.
